Fandom Number Hunters (OOC Chat)

Jason is possibly going to be a very strong opponent for anyone who tries to take his number card. XD

I just realized... Yasuo doesn't have a "Yu" at the beginning of her first or last name!

Haha. Nope. Yet somehow she's destined to win. Maybe. Who really knows? XD

I wanted a name that would suit her yet stick with the whole "Y" thing at least Yu-Gi-Oh is known for? Plus her name means Peaceful Child, and I think it fits considering she's a kid that doesn't like to fight 'n stuff.

Okay. Just to give you guys a heads up, he has the XYZ monster Castel, The Skyblaster Musketeer and Ice Beast Zerofyne in his deck. So basically using a number card on them when he has them is sorta a lose for you unless your able to find a way to negate them. Never mind. I forgot that Ice Beast Zerofyne can negate any effect on all of his opponents face up cards if he gives up just one XYZ material.

And this is why I consider him a mimi-boss at least? Maybe. He'd be tough to beat, but at least he can if you can find a way to beat him. Which I mean, is totally like every bad guy in Yu-Gi-Oh? XD

My personal rankings of the Yugioh Anime:
1) Arc-V: Ok, it starts out kinda slow, but it gets seriously epic. It's a must watch.
2) GX: It's GX. Nuff said.
3) Zexal: Just generally enjoyable. The second arc of the show is really cool especially.
4) 5ds: Card games. On motorcycles. CARD GAMES. ON MOTORCYCLES.
5) Yugioh: Didn't grow up with it. Not a big fan of the characters except Kaiba, Yami, and Yugi. Love Yugioh the abridged series tho.
I'd put my personal rankings for the manga except I've only read 3 out of the 5 manga series because I can't find 5ds or GX manga anywhere. I'm a huge Yugioh nerd. :p
Edit: GX and 5ds, not just 5ds. I don't even brain. o-o

I think (emphasis on think) that at least one of his other decks was shown in the manga. I remember someone telling me that, but I haven't read it myself so I wouldn't know.
I'll have to check out Arc-V and continue some watching of Zexal. Five D's I saw some of and it was ok to me. But I haven't watched enough to gather a full opinion, honestly dueling on Motorcycles was honestly a whole new concept to get used to for us old timers or some of us original era fans.

GX is correct, GX nuff said. Haha

Original is still awesome to me. Yugi's magicians deck was the original fav deck for me personally, my friends went blue eyes first and built decks more around it, while I loved the magician deck more from the start. Though we all had cards for each eventually. Joey was awesome and loved the Jinzo card and some others of his, Actually

Me: Yugi's deck
Friend A: Kaibas deck
Friend B: Joeys deck

Starting off but anyways it was kinda cool imo.

I never read yugioh and Pokémon due to it being on Tv and me at first never knew it had books:comics until my early teens embarrassingly enough.

I should check it out sometime though, perhaps if times permits and stuff.

Just hope you don't lose or you can kiss your deck good bye. XD
Now, you see, giving your match stakes like that makes it guaranteed that your character is going to lose and his victories are going to be meaningless. No one is going to lose their decks. If they are, then they're just going to get new ones.

Oh. So basically he won't even be a slight issue for Dylan. Evilswarms have a ton of outs to pretty much ALL special summoned monsters, XYZ especially. They are basically anti-special summoned everything...if actually played properly.

Well I made him opposite to Will sister who is willing to pay for any card you may want. She is the reason why most people who lose to Jason are able to still duel because she buys them new decks.

Plus we needed a really good but bad NPC who would provided a very difficult challenge to even the most expert duelists and I thought to have a higher risk when it comes to someone who wants duel jason.

5ds was...enjoyable, but at times I feel it sort of just had forced edginess that really took away from the enjoyment of it in a few story arcs. And trust me, you won't regret watching Arc-V if you watch it until the end. Just...watch the japanese version though because the dub actually REMOVED a bit of cool content. =-=

You won't regret it if you check out the manga novels if you've got the time. In the case of 5ds (from what I've heard) and Zexal (which I've actually read) the plot is COMPLETELY different, it's a whole new story in a pretty good way. Also Yuma is much cooler in the manga...and only ever uses 3 different xyz monsters but that's besides the point. Also, the original Yugioh's manga is seriously cool, but also seriously dark and messed up. Trust me when I say it has some moments that will make you legitimately feel bad for the bad guys and make you almost see Yugi as a villain. o-o GX I've just heard is an expanded version of the anime with two extra story arcs and some villain named Tragoedia, as well as lots more duels and characters. And Arc-V's is kinda...erm...eh, it's worth checking out. It's got some epic moments that aren't in the anime, but at the same time it's got some big flaws.

Well, Y'all pumped that duel out pretty quick. Making me and Saru look bad.

I'm gonna keep offering the excuse that it's because we're never on at the same time, so making the collab post isn't easy.

I'll do that! ^^ thanks

Haha I heard Bastion was more featured or important in the manga from reading his wikia page compared to anime where he gradually decreases in importance or feature. But awesome to see the series of each has some cool unique traits and style of said characters you mentioned. Kinda curious and interesting I think.

I've heard Pokémon differs from the series, so I'm quite curious of it. I'll eventually check these out with the yugioh series.

True, work and Rl for us with the different time zones does bring some difficulty finishing it. But I'd say it could work out well for me personally, prevents some rust in yugioh/dueling and unfamiliarity with some Zexal features from showing at full strength. ^^"

We're fast duelers? XD

It's cool though. No worries.

I actually own like a little bit of the original Yu-GI-Oh manga and I like it more than the show just a bit? Super dark and messaged up and I LOVE stuff like that. XD

Personally I like it too, but I seriously felt sorry for the bad guys, especially early on...even though they more than slightly deserved what happened to them. :p I think that the darker tone for the story provided by the manga enhances the original Yugioh series better and makes it what it really should've been in the anime but couldn't have been because of the target demographic.

Dude, Yami messed some people up so bad in the early version of Yu-Gi-Oh. Kinda like in Season 0, but I feel like even that was tamer than the manga.

Early into the manga Yami was practically an anti-hero bordering on complete psychopath. o-o Those shadow games were absolutely sadistic, looking back on a few of them in hindsight.
