I feel you both on that. I love writing nuanced, deep, and most important real characters. I also like being able to put them into real or "mature" situations and seeing how things play out. Having to limit oneself to appeal to a broader audience is....sigh....frustrating at the least.

Agreed. And that's been something I've been trying to keep in mind for myself as far as my writing goes. I'm currently working on a book that, when all is said and done, will be how "I" wanted it to be written.

I like rping with kids though, they get more into the characters that are around there age, they see themselves in their characters and do what they would do, so real, so much fun. I know in the rules it says we can go a little crazy but last thing i need is someone getting butt hurt. Chika is going to be my first true edgy character, and I mean edgy as unpopular character types. Poor Shiloh ain't do nothing wrong either.....

I was honestly worried how I was playing Shiloh at first. Yes, she's quiet, but she's not supposed to be a freaking scaredy cat either.

I actually like Shiloh. I think she's got potential to be a great character. I also love both Willow and Chika. Edge isn't an issue with me. Hell, all of my friends tell me I'm an edge lord IRL anyway

I actually have an idea for a second character depending on how things progress in the story though they won't appear until much later. Maybe.

Shiloh is great. So is Willow and Chika. I've played Darby on some not so family friendly rps so her moral compass doesn't point due north. Having extremes is boring, you need an in-between

As for the current conversation, I can kinda agree on those points. Villains don’t necessarily have to be mega evil just for the heck of it, I really enjoy implementing psychology into my characters and expressing certain traits. Ex. Orion is extremely manipulative and abusive, and will most likely crush anyone who tries to get in the way of his goals. Which is a representation of Machiveillism (probably did not spell that right). He’s also sexist as well. Over all, he’s a genuinely horrible person. There’s no reason to excuse it or say that it’s his past that caused it, he’s just a bad person. I seriously would make him do way more terrible junk if the site rules allowed it, lol.
