Seth noticed that one of the members caught the light tap and gave a small half wave in the middle of a puff. Just one of general acknowledgement with a hint of 'friendly'. He watched the dark haired older male stand up from his rather 'uninterested' pose and gesture to the ever-uneasy Ritcher. Ritcher was always distinguishable to Seth just in his particular mannerisms and oddly enough by the color of his hair. Ritcher's 'oddities' did not bother Seth by he least from what he had minorly witnessed in passing and felt a sense of general 'soothing' when just in sight of him even though they have never spoken before. The older gent... Nephet, was the name. He had seen him around every now and then while Seth was out running 'errands' and knew he ran the butcher shop not far from the Pack's noted "homebase". Always in the vicinity of him Seth felt that the guy was laid back, similar to himself except that... Nephet seemed to have a 'purpose'. Ritcher, he mostly seemed at unease whenever Seth had seen him occasionally. It was hard to really 'place' him...

Seth watched the other males' strides without turning his own head until he saw Nephet push through the jingling doors for himself and Ritcher and began heading his way. At that point he watched Nephet's eyes since he was a little more in front. To some this could be taken as "a threat" or as a form of "disrespect" coming from a virtual 'nobody'/'newbie' in the pack formations but... Seth has not been around packs at all. He gained this peculiarity in dealing with humans as a way to judge them before interacting with them. To try to guess their motive of their approach. He judged that he liked the man's crystal eyes.

He had never actually spoken with Nephet before, as he had never had the encounter that would dictate that. Seth's expressionless features turned to his normal-pace partial grin as the man came just past the open door as he held it open for Ritcher before coming the rest of the way to Seth.

Giving a long pull to his own cig to politely put it out before they came close but stopped mid way as he saw Nephet pull out a pack of his own.
'Ah.' Straightening up some he turned to face them moreso and leaned a shoulder against the glass and giving a small warm tint to his facial features in a silent "greetings" back towards Ritcher. Eyes opening up little wider the older man's comment of “ you know, you didn’t have to come tonight?” looking up to him slightly as he just barely downcast his head, almost taking the comment the wrong way, but conflicted for just half a second with Nephet's current casual pose/demeanor and seemed momentarily 'caught' in trying to figure out Nephet's exact "meaning". Brought out of it just as quickly though when asked for a light. "Uh..." He put his cig back into his mouth and began patting his own pockets for his. Even though he JUST used it he temporarily had forgotten with the current situation, looking a bit 'lost' in searching. Listening to his continued discussion but slowed just as he found his lighter but also because at the Pack's Gamma mentioning 'us'... Taking a second to glance between the two of them with a form of 'shifty eyes'.

Quirking an eyebrow just noticeably Seth pulled the lighter from his jacket pocket and offered to light it for him. Completely, on purpose, not answering his questions as... he felt he had no real answer to give.
Was he here to help the Pack? Was he here to just watch? Would he just chicken out if things went sour? Seth had no true answer as to why he was actually here other than just to be here. "Light, pretty eyes?" His voice was a little raspy from lack of use lately and his expression held that partial grin as he held the lighter but his own bi-color eyes were all over Nephet's. Not in a "creepy" sense but just looking at them a moment before actually 'looking' at Nephet again with giving a glance too Ritcher's red hair as he made his way to the stray laying by the doors. 'Classic move...' Normal dog or not Seth had definitely been to "that point" before in his life... Giving a slight moment to look past the two to the, what he thought, normal mutt.

Seth was still mentally stuck on that 'us' that both Nephet and Ritcher seemed to think... ...

Taking a moment back to study Nephet's face being a bit more obvious in trying to figure him out in a minor form of reluctance. It was obvious he was not expecting to be approached by any Pack member. Giving a small half laugh at Nephet's combat question/comment, looking away slightly off to the side
"Combat? Not too sure on that one, Blue-eyes. I'm more of a lover than a fighter." All the while his own cigarette forgotten but still lit between his fingers...

"It would have been a good evening to stay home."
Slayde grumbled quietly, wiping blood, not his own, from his face as he walked down the street towards the dinner. He knew he was late, there were no ifs ands or buts about it. It's not like I could have changed this any. It's also not my fault for getting jumped on the way here, either. A toothy smile spread over Slayde's face. Punk had it coming though. Mugging a wolf isn't the best idea.

Slayde stopped a few blocks off from the dinner. The hairs on the back of his neck stood erect. A quiet growl rumbled in his throat as he pulled the brim of his ball cap down and stepped back out of the lamplight. Some of the scents were familiar to him; Pack mates and general smells about the town. The scents that bothered him were no doubt from the Northern Pack. They smelt just a bit too much like dog for his liking. Ferals, the whole lot of them. Slayde took a few minutes longer to police the locale, making notes about anything that looked like it could provide cover or concealment, before proceeding towards the dinner.

As he neared his packmates standing outside he barely raised his head and gave a knowing wink before walking inside. Upon entering he purposefully bumped into Aiv, muttering a quiet, "Sorry", as he continued on to take a booth across the room, placing himself to where he was facing the front of his pack, and the backs of the Northern. Slayde sat his back pack in the booth next to him and quietly unzipped the main compartment, giving him ready access to the short barreled rifle that he kept inside.

"How can I help you, hon?"

The waitress smelled like too many nerves covered by too much perfume.

"Coffee please. Black."

And now we wait.

I saw Slayde enter the dinner and find a spot behind the Northern Clan. I saw the look in his eyes that meant trouble. I glanced at Aivan to see if he saw it too. I hoped Slayde wouldn't do anything to provoke the Northerns.

My eyes followed the beta as he walked past us. I caught his aura of tension and anger. I didn't like the way he sat behind us. I moved slightly to nudge Orion. He needed to know that we were no longer safe. I felt my heart start to race and my wolf side want to come out and protect my pack. I managed to subdue it but not before a low growl escaped my throat.

If tension was a solid form of matter, he could take a slice out of it and eat it like a piece of cake. Orion could feel the air grow heavier with the entering of another omega and a beta from the opposite back, one of his betas bristled beside him in alarm. The other seemed to be catching up with an old friend of sorts, the two staring each other down.

The heavily scarred male was about to continue on with his explanation of the oncoming dangers presented to them, as well as a potential solution. But, before he could even begin to continue on to the second phase, the sudden blaring of his phone’s ringtone interrupted him.

Of course, it was the second verse of Johnny Cash’s ‘God’s Going to Cut You Down’. Orion shoved his left hand into the pocket of his worn beige coat, pulling out the obviously cheap and bootleg brand of a cellphone. It was fucking Charles, that weasel was supposed to have showed up twenty minutes ago! And here he was, probably calling him to say that he had gotten in trouble with his wife and couldn’t come.

Orion glared at the cellular device, as if he wanted to crush the damn thing. Instead, gently placed it face up on the table in front of him, placing his index finger on the green ‘answer’ symbol on the screen. Then shifting the audio to speaker.

“Привет? You better have a good excuse made up this time...”

Eventually a bottle of wine was found. More specifically some cheap Cabernet Sauvignon which made Vanessa grimace in distaste. "Bloody Americans~" She grumbled quietly to herself, shaking her head a bit and setting the bottle down and opening up another cabinet to fetch a wine glass. The phone rang in the other room a couple times before abruptly snapping and a rather irritated voice rang from the other end. Vanessa glanced back at Charles who seemed to look down at the phone and back up at her, clearly unsure how to proceed. The well dressed woman lifted a hand and gestured for him to go on.

"Orion i-" He began, coughing a bit as his voice cracked. The man sounded tired, wounded...broken. His eyes becoming heavy as he shook his head to try and rid himself of the hazy thoughts that clouded his mind. "I think we have a problem." He finished, looking back up at Vanessa as she popped the wine bottle and began to pour a glass. Charles took a deep breath through his nose and gave a soft laugh. "That mutt you killed...he uh...he had a sister...she's in my house. Orion she...she killed Miles and Gregory man. She killed em right in front of me! You said joining the pack meant protection and survival and yet because of you this evil bitch is in my house!" He hissed, thrashing around in the chair as his gaze flicked over to the other bodies on either side of the table. "My wife! My kids! Don't let them see me like this man! You promise me you won't let them see my body like this!"

Vanessa put a finger to her lips, gesturing for him to be quiet as she slowly walked over to the table. A glass of wine in one hand as her other loosened her tie. "Relax darling don't be so emotional~" She mused, taking a seat beside the man and lifting a leg to cross it over her knee, swaying the glass in her hand and taking a deep breath. Staring at the phone for a very long while and letting the silence settle before finally deciding to speak up. "Orion...i'd say it's a pleasure but i'd be lying. I'll keep this simple for you and your savage pack of mutts to understand." She began, bringing the glass to her lips and taking a large swig of the alcohol before pulling it away and sighing deeply. "You don't know me Orion. But you're about too. Soon you and your pack will know me very, very well. You're going to know what i am capable of and in time you will come to fear me. It is very important that you, and the individuals who follow you know one simple truth." She explained, leaning into the table and shifting her gaze towards Charles as he avoided eye contact with the devilish woman.

"The actions you have committed have not only forsaken yourself...but every man, woman, and child that associates themselves with you. Over the next couple of days you and anyone you have ever met will be drafted into war. A war caused...by you. I will not lie to you Orion. I literally have nothing to lose for you have taken from me the one thing in this world i hold dear. You have wronged me...Orion. And i will not rest until i see you and everything close to you burning." She growled furiously as she chuckled darkly, looking over the glass of wine before shaking her head. "It's funny...they say that when on the path of vengeance one should dig two graves. One for your enemy...and one for yourself-" She began, slowly standing from the chair and finishing the glass of wine in a single gulp before lifting her hand and slamming the glass against the wide of Charles's face. The man squealed in pain, glass shards sinking into his flesh and falling into his eyes as Vanessa laughed manically.

"But but i can tell you this right now baby. Two just ain't gonna be enough!" She exclaimed before snatching a knife off the table and immediately taking it to the groin of the man she had tied down. Sinking it into his flesh and mutilating his body as blood curdling screams filled the room. Carrying on for several minutes before the poor mans heart finally just gave out from the pain. His body falling limp in the chair as Vanessa chuckled, her naughty becoming more and more menacing as she licked the blood from her stained hands. Her blood lust growing with each passing moment as her Vampire impulses began to shine through her crimson eyes.

"Gather your forces Alpha. The dice have been cast and honey, i'm feelin lucky. From this moment forward...you and your pack...are being hunted~" She mused before walking away, leaving the phone on and grabbing her jacket before whistling one of her favorite songs. Making her way to the front of the house and taking her leave.

Come now audience, you and i both know how this ends~

Cassian Langston

At long last, he had found her for who she was. Cassian's senses could pick up on every detail in the room. A strange looking woman came in and sat with the opposing Alpha's group, but quickly immersed herself in her phone. For a moment, Cassian restrained himself from letting his lips twitch into a snarl. "Who the hell comes to a meeting to stare at their phone all day? And they've got the gall to claim disrespect."

Nevertheless, he watched Ashleigh turn, giving a faint, polite nod towards the woman's direction before turning back and seemingly listening intently to Orion's words. Though he'd never admit it outright- at least, not to his pack members- Cassian found himself strangely enamored with Gammas. They were pretty much, to him, a dumbed down version of Betas, and sometimes they even got more action than the Betas did since the Betas were more defenders than hunters. Again, he chafed under the pack system. Who cared about that distinction so long as they were fierce enough to kill anything?

Something stung his nose again. It came from his fellow Beta, Blaire, and the Omega on the other side. He sniffed. Attraction, and...anger.

This time, Cassian's lips curved again, but not into a snarl. Into a wry smirk. From somewhere in the diner he could pick up on Wedge's scent, for all that mattered. Zetas were just a fancier term for nerds- anyone who couldn't make their way up the ranks through strength got stuck in one of the lower caste roles. Cassian would never understand Blaire's and Wedge's loyalties to Orion. The man was a savage, moreso than him. He had respect for the man, surely- but loyalty, to the point of attraction? To someone who had to resort to assassination to try and become Alpha, and put on these fake airs? Never.

"Listen to yourself, Cas," He had to think to himself, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment and rubbing his temples. "You're the same as him when it comes to being fake." And the culprit behind that was the brunette keeping her eyes focused on the one-eyed Alpha.

This time, a more pleasant scent hit his nose. Meat. Fried meat perhaps, but meat all the same.

The moment the plate of half a fried chicken served with mashed potatoes practically drowned in gravy- as per his request- was set in front of him, hunger prompted him to almost immediately dig in. He supposed he looked ravenous, and if not for his clothing and groomed look, he probably looked homeless, too. From across the booth, he could feel the waitress and Ash staring at him.

Nothing wrong with having a little fun. Orion was busy playing air piano while explaining anyway.

"What, you want some?" He let loose a throaty chuckle with his words, directing them at Ash. It must've been odd to his packmates, but he didn't really care for them at the moment. Ash's brows shot up in surprise as he addressed her, but she cleared her throat and glanced down at the plate of key lime pie in front of her.

"No thanks, I'm good."

"I'd figured. It's not exactly trout is it?"

Ash stiffened. He could scent the waves of turmoil and confusion going through her, and it elated him. Surely, seeing him here would be a good first step to getting her to convert to his side...

"No, I suppose not." She mumbled, rubbing her throat as Chika's presence soothed her nerves a little. Cassian fought the urge to roll his eyes. Omegas and their damning presence. Always made things a lot less fun.

Ash had also glanced past him, prompting Cassian to take a small glance backwards as well. He recognized that kind of strong aura and scent. A Beta. More and more of the pack was coming in, terribly dwarfing the four Northern Clan members in the diner. Not that he was worried.

He'd barely taken another bite of his meal when a familiar sound rang through their table.

"Well my goodness gracious let me tell you the news~
My head's been wet with the midnight dew~"

Orion's phone. Cassian stifled a chuckle when the scar-faced Alpha answered it...though he was quick to silence himself once the message played.

First was the voice of a pack member, continuously shifting from being pissed to high hell at Orion to begging him to not let his wife and kids see his sorry state. Cassian's brow furrowed. "Charles?"

And then, a more feminine voice- one that flowed like wine- took his place. Despite the woman's promise that she was going to keep it simple, her words were long-winded. Cassian managed to get the gist of it, though- they were being hunted because they killed someone precious to the woman.

From the sounds of it, she took a page from Orion's book and decided to murder Charles on live speaker for all to hear. Taking a quick glance across the table, he saw Ashleigh's brow furrowing, as if she were hiding a nasty grimace at what the entire table was hearing. The waitresses and staff had also paused briefly- probably wondering if their group was watching some sort of sick snuff film in the diner.

When the woman's voice finally cut out, Cassian scooped up a mound of mashed potatoes with his spoon. Disgusting as the sounds were, it hadn't killed his appetite any. Down the chute it went.

"Seems like killing the runt's more trouble than it's worth," He mused, glancing over to his Alpha. "You planning on doing anything about this, Orion?"

"Seems a storm's brewing on the horizon for you." Ash quipped, picking at the slice of key lime in front of her. Cassian raised an eyebrow.

"Don't play innocent. You know your pack's gonna be in on this?"

"The woman said she'd hunt down your pack and whoever associates with you," Ash pointed out. "As far as I know, we weren't the first ones to move between us two. We're not associated with you in any way." She definitely meant it in the pack sort of way- but was she trying to ignore the fact that they had shared something over that trip?

Cassian allowed himself a wry grin. "Really? Cause this meeting says otherwise, doesn't it?"

Hm. Aivan would be lying if he said he wasn't tracking everyone who was entering and exiting the premises - the scent of werewolves strong with every single one. How did the humans feel, he wondered. Fear? After all, their basic instincts would be screaming that something was wrong and their current conversation wasn't exactly the most normal either. Though, he did guess that it would highly seem like they were just some mobs that have been discovered. Nevertheless, they had to tread carefully but that didn't mean Aivan felt uncomfortable in his current position. In fact, this was good. There can't be an all out fight here or else they would be in more trouble than they normally would be in this situation.

Seth arrives. Nephet and Wahy'a leave to get him.

Ashleigh and Shiloh remained. Slayde arrived.

Northern Pack members are going inside, watching and waiting. Some had ordered. Aivan said he would cover it and he told the waitress just as much.

His hot chocolate arrived along with his pancakes had arrived. Aivan rose from his seat and took the pancakes and opened the door where the mutt was. His eyes rose to Wahy'a, Nephet and Seth and gave them a nod. He then bent down and placed the pancakes in front of the mutt - their own kind. He wouldn't mistake it for anything but their own, despite the musk of dirt and garbage that has stuck to its fur. Without another sound he came back to his seat and took his cup.

He listened intently to what Orion reported. So it would seem that they were going to get in trouble with the humans because of some foolish rogue who succumbed to the pressure the humans placed him in. For the first time in their meeting, Aivan's face fell to a neutral state. Indeed, that would be a problem. Their territories were now for public eye for the hunters - the few who still believed in werewolves. How unfortunate. He had little reason to doubt him.

There was something heavy in his sigh as he brought his cup to his lips and drank from it - the sweet and hot chocolate running down his throat. The tension was coming up because of the others. However much obvious did the others have to be. This was supposed to be diplomatic - not 'one push and everything will go wrong'. Nevertheless, Aivan was about to propose a solution to their problem even if they weren't going to be affected too much when Orion's phone blared out. Orion had decided to answer it and put it on speaker phone.

Aivan, curious, walked closer to the opposing Alpha, not caring for any of the other members. He listened intently as he occasionally sipped from his cup. Oh my. Death to the man of Northern Pack and a proposition of war - to anyone associated with Orion. Aivan had taken a gulp of the chocolate as he listened to Ashleigh and the one Beta she knew from the other pack.

"He's not wrong~" Aivan said with a light laugh as his eyes glanced back to the phone and then towards Orion. "It seems like you've made an enemy from your lifestyle. I do wonder who this woman is. She seems to be a fascinating character." He walked back to the table his pack had occupied and laid his empty cup down. "I will tell you this Orion, the human agents will be easy to deal with. You only need to lay low for however long they are here and make sure no one else talks."

He then turned back to him, voice level. "But this problem with that woman is not mine to handle. I will keep myself as neutral as possible. You've wronged her somehow." Aivan slid his hands inside his pockets. "And you must pay for what you've done. If she comes after us, well, I'll handle it accordingly. But I will not make an enemy out of a guest." The smile he always had on his face came back at the last sentence. This was not only an announcement of neutrality to the other pack but to warn the others - to his own packmates - that even they need to be careful.

However, Aivan will not deny it. He was all too curious about this mysterious woman. Such a bold announcement of war towards a pack. Could it be another one? Or will she hunt them down alone? Aivan was curious as to how the future looks for all of them.

Wedge stood up as the phone call played out, of course being the diner was filled with werewolves with extra strong hearing everyone would have known what was being said, other then any humans present such as the waitress or cook. he took the cane laying nearby and, as professionally as possible, hobbled over to the group. "it would seem yet again that ignoring my council has gotten our packs in more trouble" he said "you do know I have a loyalty to this pack, and therefor by proxy, to you Orion, so if we could both move on from any past aggression with eachother..." he stares down at his leg before returning his gaze to his alpha. "then I think I might have a solution to atleast one of our problems. a smart way to get rid of our human enemies. this vengeful girl I would have to think on some more, unless you are still unwilling to take my council as your zeta?"

Shiloh caught a familiar scent as the diner door opened roughly. Her eyes lifted to follow Slayde as he made his way over to a booth at the back of Orion and his wolves. She had to smile at his strategic boldness as she brought her cup of hot chocolate to her lips to try and hide the blush that was appearing on her cheeks.

One by one more members of her pack showed up and made themselves known. With each one she felt her fear shrink more and more. Her pack was here. Because of them she felt a little braver.

It didn't last, however. When Orion's phone went off, Shiloh felt a wave of dread come over her. She didn't know who the voices belonged to, but with each word spoken Shiloh felt panic bubbling and rising inside of her. At the scream, Shiloh went cold. Her fear rising up like bile in her mouth.

“This is your fault,” Shiloh said. There was a slight growl to her voice as her gaze went to Orion. “This is all your fault!” Shiloh's lip curled up in a snarl, more out of fear than anger. “If you hadn't killed that rogue…”

Her mind whirled. She had lost her family and her home once before. And now she stood to possibly lose them again. If this mystery female found them before Aivan got the chance to explain that it wasn't them that killed her brother…. And the humans…. A shudder ran through her as she remembered how cruel humans could be.

A sickly, sadistic smile spread across his face as soon as the mysterious woman’s voice cut out. Any healthy and sane person probably would have pissed themselves in terror, or at least felt some empathy towards the victim she slain. Orion was neither of those, and was very much sick in various different ways.

His head felt like it was buzzing, perhaps from the overwhelming emotion of rage. No, not rage, loathe. That’s what it was.

The alpha calmly picked up the device from the table, turning to directly stare his zeta in the eyes, before crushing the phone in his hand. The glass screen splintered, various shards piercing the flesh of his fingers, his entire left hand was now a bloodied and partially mutilated mess. Orion tilted his head slightly, dropping the crunched and shattered material to the grimy tiled floor. “I respect your decision Aivan, I wouldn’t have asked you to become a part of this ‘war’.”

Orion simply rested his injured hand beneath his chin, propping his head up with it. “As for our solution, my zeta, you’re free to speak your mind and give counsel. But I will address one thing, I will not hide from this new friend of ours. I plan to deal with this accordingly, and on my own.” The alpha ignored the various sentences blaming him, he could care less. Of course it was his fault, he wasn’t going to make up some pathetic excuse for it.

“After all, I love a new challenge, and I’d love to meet this little girl and do the same as I did to her relative!~” He sneered, Orion seemed to relish in this thought. The alpha intended to meet his new competition, preferably before anyone else was needlessly slaughtered.

Blaire
Blaire could feel the rush of emotions from the table. Some were confused and some were angry. She felt Orion's the strongest. She sat up straighter as he talked. Blaire loved any opportunity she had to show Orion her devotion to him. She moved her hand to rest gently on his elbow. It wasn't often that she touched him but she felt it was necessary. She looked into his eyes and smiled. "Whatever you need I am with you to the end of the line." She said softly.

Chika
Omega 20
Meeting

Chika remained tuned out of the meeting, not noticing the glare she received nor the exchange of words between others. What she could pick up was a threat. She peeped up from her phone, her facial expression would be mistaken for boredom but she was rather concerned. She shouldn’t care, her alpha has spoke his part explaining they would be neutral. She would respect that despite the fact that she disagreed. They should be making friends with the other pack not building larger walls. Everyone had there morals though, she was sure Aivan was doing what was best. She respected him,she couldn’t say that for the rest of her pack. “Glad to see you keeping your composure Shiloh.” To a stranger they might think she was being serious, despite her constant use of sarcasm her tone remained dull. Why is she even here? She was about to go back to her phone when she noticed a hand reach over to touch Orion. She examine the hand for a moment, then to the women it belong to. Since when did his type include pale flat ass clingy bitches. The girl was beautiful, even Chika’s petty thoughts couldn’t ignore that. She hadn’t realized she was staring until the girl spoke.

"Whatever you need I am with you to the end of the line."
The beta’s words cracked through Chika’s stoic demeanor as she let out a snicker. Pathetic...”Chika mumbled under her breath. If this was suppose to be his line of support they were in worst shape then she thought. As more of her pack filtered in it became clear that there was no need for her to be there. The sheer number of them was enough of a peace keeper. “If’ I’m no longer needed....” She looked around at everyone’s plate her nose turning up in disgust. “We have two other situations waiting for us at home, though I’m sure you would rather stay here.” Her last statement was directed to Shiloh, but she wasn’t too irritated just stating the obvious. She stood up ready to leave this dump but turned to face Orion. Should I say something? What can I say, what am I allowed to say? A simple goodbye, maybe something more friendly? She turned and walked away deciding not to say anything. She walked outside catching the end of the conversation between her pack members and newbie. She brushed by them bumping into Seth. “Sorry.” Her toned made it hard for anyone to know if it was sincere or not. “I’m heading home, there is enough people here to handle a situation without an omega.” She beeped her car clicker sighing at the the sight of her vehicle. She wanted a model S Telsa for her birthday but the pack lived out to far for it to be practical. “It’s hard seeing him like this...away from us.” She didn’t speak anyone’s name in particular but both Wahy’a and Nephet know of her feelings for Orion. “If you all want a ride...” she walked off towards her car.

Wedge straightens himself before speaking “my idea for dealing with the humans is vary simple. An old tactic but a good one, used throughout our packs history to end anyone following us when we migrate. The simple solution is we move our packs into a third, secret, home. We leave behind two or three of our best fighters in each house and they ambush any intruder. Then we simply find new permanent homes for the packs.” Wedge states before looking around the room at each wolf, knowing that working together and even sharing a home would be a hard sell.

Kody
Location: Northern Clan Home | Interacting: TBA/open

It was chilly in the Northern Clan's house. Kody was curled up on the couch under a blanket, phone in hand as he tapped away on some popular video game. Being an omega, he wasn't chosen to go to the meeting, which was completely fine by him. Meetings were probably overwhelming, anyway, what with all those people crowded together, arguing. He would much rather be alone than put up with all that, and, luckily, his wish was granted.

His stomach growled. A little startled by it, he missed a chance to tap the screen. He watched in dismay as his character's avatar was beaten to death by goblins. "There goes all my hard work training her. She's good for nothing," he sighed, setting the device upon the coffee table as he stood upright. If he was hungry, the only thing to do was to find some sustenance. He'd already taken care of all his chores around the house, anyways.

Kody shuffled to the kitchen, his stomach encouraging the endeavor, and opened the fridge. He wanted something sweet, but also bitter... Eyes landing on a dark chocolate bar, a smile tugged at his lips. "I think I've earned it," he muttered to himself, taking the candy and opening the wrapper. He bit in with a grin, enjoying the flavor as it came to him with a satisfied hum.

It was then that he heard a knock on the door, loud and clear. Swallowing rather abruptly, Kody pocketed the chocolate and wiped his mouth. No one could know. Albeit it reluctantly, he headed to the front door, peeking out through the peephole to see who it was before deciding whether he could let them in or not. They would just have to wait until he made up his mind.

Wind & Tempest
Wind moved through the darkened landscape, a child resting on her back as the silver and light gray wolf hurried through the alerting landscape of forests and mountains as the moon shone down upon them. Keeping an eye out for anything that could pose a threat to her or the child on the the she-wolf's back, the wolf quickened her strides as she moved. It was night and she had to be careful...wolf gods only knew what lurked here. Ears twitching as the child clutched her fur and murmured to itself, the wolf whined comfortingly before dashing headfirst down the hill that led to the house, coming to a stop as she dropped the bag in her mouth and adjusted the child to her front as she knocked on the door sharply, checking the watch around her wrist and shifting warily from foot to foot, cradling the child who also had a backpack on her shoulders against her shoulder. In the light, the woman was revealed to have sun kissed skin with long golden blond hair and turquoise eyes that gazed piercingly at the door. This was the house she had dropped her injured younger brother off at...he should be here hopefully.

Tempest was a stranger to the pack, only having joined a week ago when injured, his sister leaving him there before disappearing. He didn't remember much of the long journey by ship and then the long journey across land, the storm separating the remnants of Thunder Sand pack. The red-haired boy stirred as he heard movement from somewhere in the house, finding himself within some medical room. Getting to his feet, he made his way out of the place, looking for someone to talk to or anything he could snack on as he hadn't been awake long. His head hurt...the blow to his head had rendered him unconscious and the room spun around him as he staggered and leaned against a wall. "Somebody there?" he called out, closing his eyes.

Cassian Langston

The other Alpha's reply was simple- they swore neutrality on the situation. Cassian could see the way a burden seemed to lift from Ashleigh's shoulders, though her brow still furrowed in concern. Despite Aivan's stance, it was clear that the brunette still seemed to be worried about being attacked by this new, unexpected aggressor. As she should- for all Cassian cared, to a raving lunatic mad with rage, enough to kill one of their comrades on live speaker, no one was safe.

Orion's response was exactly as Cassian expected. Bloody and savage- quite literally, as he crushed the phone in one hand. Nothing new of their Alpha, though Cassian wrinkled his nose as anger came off of Orion in waves. It was clear that the challenge had stirred him up more than it should have, and that was at least a new development.

Blaire, as always, was quick to show her undying loyalty to Orion. The Omega on the other side snickered. Cassian allowed himself a snort and a sardonic laugh. Orion didn't care about anyone the same way he cared for himself. That loyalty was going to be a waste.
"The only loyalty a man should have is to himself," Cassian reminded himself. If there was anything the orphanage taught him, it was that.

His amusement didn't last long, though, as someone familiar came over- no, limped over. This time, Cassian's lips bared back into a snarl and his brow furrowed. Wedge, the Zeta. Kid wasn't even invited for all he cared, Orion never brought anyone but his Betas. The nerd had the audacity to act mighty regarding his "counsel", even. Orion motioned that he was free to speak his mind, but he figured whatever counsel the Zeta could give, it would fly over the higher caste members' heads.

And give counsel he did, mentioning a plan of his to get rid of their human intruders- by moving both packs into a secret home and ambushing any human intruder who came to attack their old homes. Cassian was a fan of bloodlust as much as his Alpha, but this?

He finally spoke up, addressing the Zeta directly.
"Listen to yourself, kid." He spoke sternly. "We run off, like cowards, and leave someone to pick up the slack in the old houses. Then, we 'simply'--" He mimed the air quotes. "--find a new, secret home. You know what we're going to have?"

Cassian glanced around the table. "We're going to have a bunch of wolves who'd much rather tear each other apart. And more importantly, the humans are going to be suspicious. An entire group disappears from their house when authorities threaten a stake out. Then, when people arrive at the stake out, they get killed, and the group never comes back. You're drawing unnecessary attention to us."

He allowed himself a quick glance over at White Mountain's side. One hated Orion, the Alpha swore neutrality, and Ash...well, he didn't know how Ash felt about him at this stage. Nevertheless, he turned back to the Zeta.

"What makes you think they want to work with us, much less live with us?"

And I thought I left the war overseas...

Slayde sighed as he sipped on his coffee. The phone call reminded him of Syria, reminded him of the Butcher and what that madman did to his victims.

I don't need another shit storm like that, especially not with pups back at the den.

As the others continued their negotiations Slayde kept his eyes moving about the room. He took his time to watch the face of his packmates, gauging their reactions by what their faces said or didn't say. Was Shiloh.......blushing? It took a few moments before it occurred to him that he was staring blankly at her, no doubt his eyebrow cocked slightly. Slayde, smooth as ever, sipped his coffee and kept his eyes moving, a half smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

Right now he didn't feel the need to push the matter with the Northerners or reach for his firearm, despite their constant aggressive bravado. Tensions were already thick enough with the threat of the humans, or this so called "Hunter", getting involved in pack affairs. Another sigh, this one longer, before Slayde drained his coffee.

Why can't we just settle this and go back to the den? It's way past hammock time.
Slayde sighed. Again. Even longer this time.
You're a Beta in the White Mountain Pack. Your duty is to protect them at all cost. Downtime comes after they are all back at the den safely.
As always Slayde watched Aivan more than the rest. Aivan would have the last say in anything with regards to the pack. And, as always, Slayde would support him, even if he disagreed with him. Because we're a family, dammit.

"Ma'am, can I get some more coffee?"

Wedge turned his attention to Cassius and snarled “the humans already know where we live. By taking out their attack team in an ambush we increase our survival rating, and send a message which I know my alpha is fond of sending bloody messages. At the same time we distract them in a compromised location while searching for a none compromised place to live. As for us tearing at each others throats. Well we are just going to have to learn to live together for a few days. Perhaps we could work on our packs alliance? Get to know the other side a bit?”

Kody
Location: Northern Pack infirmary | Interacting: Wind & Tempest ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Looking through the peephole, Kody's eyes landed upon the form of a girl with beautiful skin and intense eyes. She had a young child with her. This wasn't the first time a stranger like her had come around. Just earlier someone dropped off an injured male, who Kody had tended to and left in the small infirmary. He wouldn't be surprised if these two were hurt as well. And, if he were being honest, he didn't mind helping them out. He'd be needed, and that always made him feel good.

Kody opened the door, gesturing for them to enter. He didn't bother with worrying about whether he'd be scolded for this either. "Come in. I'll get some refreshmen--" Another person's voice echoed from the direction of the sickroom. His attention was redirected and he hurried off, waving a dismissing signal behind him. "I'll be right back." It was probably unwise to leave them alone, but it couldn't be helped. The injured boy was more important to him.

With a trained speed, Kody made his way through the halls to the infirmary. The guy whose head he'd bandaged up was leaned against a wall. He looked worse for wear. "I see you're awake. Take these," the omega requested, pouring some painkillers from a bottle and handing them out. He could practically sense the hurt the other male was feeling. That was one of the downsides of being an empath. "Do you remember what happened?"

Wind & Tempest
Wind didn't have long to wait as the door opened but it wasn't her younger brother standing there, rather a different person who stared at her before stepping aside and opened the door wider. As her daughter stirred, Wind quietly shushed the child on her shoulder. Before Wind could say anything, her arms tightening around the child in case they were attacked, yet this stranger only gestured for them to enter. Crouching down and picking up her bag, she stepped inside the home as the stranger began to say he would get refreshments when a voice came from somewhere further in the house. Excusing himself, the stranger left Wind who continued holding the sleeping child as she stood in the entrance of the doorway uncertaintly. What if her brother had been killed by leaving him here? She hoped not...she needed someone to watch her daughter and needed a shower before going to her new line of work.

Tempest's eyes opened warily as he heard footsteps around him, having shut them for a few moments to try to stop his pound head and ringing ears. Trying to stop the swaying of the room as he somehow remained propped up against the wall he leaned on for support at the sound of footsteps coming towards him, a voice causing him to slowly turn his head towards the figure that appeared. Another gentlemen who removed a pill bottle from somewhere and opened it before handing them to him, telling him to take them. Tempest didn't even stop to think of if the pills were poison or not as he immediately took them in his hand. "There any water?" he questioned as a hand clenched around the pills before being asked if he remembered anything. "Mmm..." He closed his eyes. "Death...screams...hunting and another storm..." his voice trailed off as he shook his head which only proved to make his head swim as he put a hand to his head, a groan escaping him. "I don't remember." Tempest didn't even think to ask where he was or who this stranger was...he couldn't concentrate.

Wind had started pacing, trying to keep Bone asleep and trying to figure out what she was going to do if her brother wasn't here. Bone was impressionable and still young, a toddler by human standards and could easily go off with anyone who told her they knew Wind or Tempest. Her bag dangled from her arm as she hummed to Wind, nervous and on edge about being in this house that smelled of wolves even though she couldn't tell how many were here but the house seemed relatively silent.

Kody
Location: Northern Pack living area | Interacting: Wind, Tempest, & Bone ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Kody could tell this guy wasn't all the way with it. There was a dazed, far-off look in his eyes and he was struggling with recalling what had happened. "It's okay," the omega assured him. "Don't force yourself to remember. As far as water goes..." He trailed off, turning his head to look back out into the hall. "Follow me. I'll get you a drink." There were also those visitors to deal with. "Some strangers showed up, too, so I'll conquer two birds with one stone, so to speak."

He headed out of the infirmary and back towards the entryway. The girl was pacing back and forth around the room. "Here, there's uh... the living area..." Kody pointed to the room just to the right. Through the archway lay two couches and a single armchair, as well as a fireplace and flatscreen television. "You all can wait there, I guess." In case it wasn't obvious enough in his uncertain approach to all this, they didn't get visitors very often. Especially not ones who looked like they needed help. And definitely not ones with bad head injuries.

Pushing away his thoughts to dwell on later, Kody made his way to the kitchen, pouring three glasses of water and one of milk. Did children still drink milk? He'd been obsessed with milk when he was a tot, but things could've changed. Not all children were alike, after all; some had different preferences. Pausing a moment, he proceeded to search the fridge to chocolate syrup. Once he'd found it, he mixed it in the milk.

Kody returned to the living area with the glasses of water and homemade chocolate milk in hand, albeit slowly so he wouldn't spill anything. "Here," he said, setting everything down on the coffee table. While he was at it, he picked back up his phone. His mind urged him to message his alpha, but he didn't want to bug him while he was at the meeting. Besides, this was surely something he could handle himself. "So, what's going on here?"

Cassian Langston

The Zeta, the lower caste had the gall to snarl at him? Cassian rose to his full height, shoulders bunching up in tense anger.

"And what does sending a message do? It attracts more unnecessary attention from the humans. Like it or not, all we're going to be achieving by going with this plan is enticing the humans to keep coming after us. We either deal with them for good, or we find a way to avoid them until we can."

A frown creased the white-haired Beta's brow.

"The humans are just as savage as we are. You ever feel what fear does to a human? It turns them paranoid. Maybe we can take out the agents they send now, but let me tell you- you won't be suggesting this bullshit once the ones with firearms get on our asses." He allowed himself a wry smirk. "Hey, maybe when they come rolling in they can come fuck up your other leg, too. Now wouldn't you like that, runt?"

"If you're so against the alliance, what would you suggest?" Ashleigh suddenly spoke up, though she recoiled somewhat as Cassian turned to her, a fierce glow in his eyes. Nevertheless, the Beta took a moment to recompose himself.

"Didn't take you for the one who'd want to hear more about the runt's plan, Ash," He grumbled.

Ashleigh muttered under her breath. "I don't, for that matter, but you're also being a dick."

"I don't give a damn about what these mountain runts do," Cassian jerked his head in the direction of the White Mountain pack.

"But I say we shift back and stay in the forest. Humans are brave, but also stupid. If they come in the forest and start attacking wolves on accounts of them being wolves, we have all the reason to start biting back. We're animals being attacked. And if they try to trap us, well," He grinned wryly, "there are humans who sympathize with animals like us. As I said, they're stupid. They're gonna end up arguing over whether we should be killed or not and all that is just gonna stir them up enough for us to either finish them off or beat a retreat if nobody wants to take them on."

He shrugged. "See? We don't have to deal with them knowing about our human forms. For all they care, we're gonna be a bunch of mutts in our natural habitat, and the agents are gonna be the idiots who decided it was a good idea to try and trap a couple of wolves."

Wind and Tempest
Tempest nodded slowly as he stared blearily at the stranger who told him not to stress himself out by trying to remember how he got here and what had happened to him. The stranger led him out of the sickroom and through several hallways, Tempest struggling to keep up and stay focused, pills still clutched in his hands. Hearing there were more strangers who had apparently just arrived, Tempest blinked slowly in response, not finding the will to say anything. "Thank you," said Tempest as he followed. As they entered what appeared to be an entryway, Tempest paused as a familiar scent...two familiar scents...came to him. "Wind?" he breathed out under his breath. He stopped and stared at the pacing woman, barely hearing the stranger point the living room out in another room next to the entryway.

Wind turned as she heard footsteps coming back to her, looking from the stranger to the figure behind her at hearing her name. She peered at the figure behind the stranger, her eyes widening. "Tempest?" she whispered, approaching her brother while still holding her daughter. The woman turned briefly back towards the stranger as he pointed out a living room next to them and she grabbed her brother, practically dragging him through the short distance before setting her daughter on the couch and sitting down, dragging Tempest down with her.

"Wind..."

"Yes you silly goose its me," said Wind, immediately tilting her brother's head back to check his pupils. "I should have stolen a flashlight," she muttered. Peering into her brother's eyes, she couldn't tell if he had a concussion or not before examining his head, carefully unwrapping the bandage and peering at the wound. "Soak under moonlight...that should take care of it," she said, gently prodding the wound and earning a whine from her brother as she began wrapping the bandages again around his head.

When the stranger came back, he was holding two glasses of water and chocolate milk. "Do you have pills?" The question was directed towards Tempest.

"Yes," Tempest said, opening his hand and taking one of the waters as soon as it was set on the coffee table, putting the pills in his mouth and then taking a gulp of water.

Wind turned to thank the stranger for helping her brother. "Thank you. Were you the one to find him and bandage his wound?" She then turned to her daughter and shook the sleeping child, removing the backpack from the child and shoving it in Tempest's lap, the red-haired male staring at his sister. But hearing that the stranger wanted to know what happened, Wind turned to look at her brother before looking back at the stranger whose house they were in. "Everything lies within a storm," said Wind with a sad sigh as she looked down at her daughter. "Bone, your uncle's here and you're going to stay with him for a while," she said as the toddler slowly opened her eyes, lifting a chubby hand to rub at them tiredly.

"Mama?"

"Wait, what do you mean Bone is staying here? I don't even know where here is!" Tempest shouted.

"We were separated when we were hunting for shelter and food after being separated from the other remnants," said Wind. "My daughter and I managed to stay together but Tempest got lost. It took me half a day to find him and when I did he was injured. I'm not much of a healer and I knew he needed help so I went looking and managed to find this place before leaving him here a few days in hopes he would be safe and would be helped, hoping that I'd come across a wolf pack." Wind dipped her head in thanks to the male. "If you helped him then thank you. We appreciate it...don't we Tempest?"

"Yeah...thanks," said Tempest. He set the water down before turning to his sister. "What do you mean Bone needs to stay here? We're strangers..."

"You're going to join this pack for your safekeeping," said Wind.

Shiloh listened in silence as the others talked, all the while trying to regain her composure and take control of the fear still felt. Finally, she rose from her seat and moved to the Northern Zeta's side.

“I don't want to be on the run again,” she said to him. Her voice was soft and it wavered a bit, but Shiloh took a breath to help keep it steady. “I don't want to leave my home. But… I've seen what humans can do to a wolf. And the den…” Shiloh shuddered slightly as she remembered that night. “Homes, however, can be rebuilt. Lives can't.”

Her attention turned to Cassian, the Northern Beta. Shiloh didn't like Orion, but Cassian scared her even more. Still, when he snarled at Wedge, Shiloh found herself stepping between them. Her instinct as Omega to protect those weaker than her taking over.

“We have pups to think of,” she said as she faced the silver-haired Beta. “Not just your stupid pride.”

Aivan listened to what these ones had to offer. To tell him what they thought what should happen. Aivan already had a plan brewing but he wasn't going to drag the other clan into it - they weren't capable of doing so now could they? Shiloh had reacted violently - in fear. He couldn't say he understood why, there wasn't any danger for them - not immediate at least - but he accepted that kind of blow-up from one of his packmates. Chika had scoffed at Shiloh before she left. He gave her a quick nod of his head as acknowledgement before turning to the packs once more.

Cassian and Wedge were arguing by now. Wedge was the most pacifistic out of all of the Northern Pack. Run away, he suggested, and send a message by killing the team. Aivan laughed at this and shook his head. "He has a point. They know where our territories are. They don't know who we are. If you kill them, then that would just tell them that we actually exist." Aivan pointed out with a lilt to his voice. "You kill one. Three more come back with weaponry that could devastate us." He continued with a matter-of-fact voice.

Unlike most of his packmates, Aivan was more willing to listen to Cassian instead of the pacifist. To shift and then to run to the forest, live off of it and wait until it all cools down. If they come in to kill, animal right activists would rise up in uproar - killing wild animals without reason? That would be a big scandal. Not to mention, no one would believe that 'werewolves' were still alive. And how would they make sure that they can differentiate wolves from werewolves? "And once more, that's a brilliant idea. Make the humans fight each other." He hummed.

What surprised him was Shiloh stepping into the scene and seemed to want to protect Wedge - the other pack's zeta. Aivan was quick to move forward and placed a hand on Shiloh's shoulder as if warning her to not meddle in the others' affairs. This was not their discussion to fight. "Shiloh, their problem is not ours. We have established ourselves as humans. Just keep the pups in their human forms long enough and they would pass us. There's no evidence against us." Aivan pointed out before looking at Cassian.

"I know animal rights activists live around these parts. Go to a protected nature reserve and they won't bother you. But the fact that the territory is empty is, as you say, very suspicious."
