I wouldn't call it a gimmick, but rather a preference. I was never good at drawing people, their looks were just too... plain. No my skills are more acute to drawing the things that go bump in the night, the things that we adventure to slay, the things we capture to fight for us. I draw monsters, and though I wouldn't say I'm 'good', I know I'm decent enough to get my idea onto a piece of paper. (Whether it ever gets finished though, is another story.) I'm currently tackling a little project, so what I upload now will be the first of many. (As of 4/27/2016) Just know that there are A LOT more from where these come from.

You know, if you think the way humans look is just too plain, you could always try to do caricatures and exaggerate all peculiar features, make them look like something you'd expect to see in an old horror flick with practical effects and whatnot.

To comment on the pieces themselves, I'd say they're good and the designs of the creatures are nice to look at. One thing about it tho is I'd hear my art teacher saying "The line is uniform, try to play with it some more." but I'm not my art teacher and I've no problems with the uniformity of the lines.

Truely AWESOME! The shading, the characters themselves of course, plus your confidence in the pieces makes fresh perspective!

Something I'm working for on an upcoming roleplay o' mine. While it's obviously still a work in progress, I think some MH fans can easily tell what it is.
