Not receiving email notifications

I don't think I've been getting them for some time but I posted in the thread today and there was a reply some hours later that I received no notification for. I've double checked my settings and my spam folder but I haven't been getting anything.

Hmm, I see you have a gmail account.


I also have a gmail account and have had no problems getting all of my notifications via email. First off, let's do some basic troubleshooting. I apologise if you already know this, but it's just to save us trouble down the road.


1. When you followed a thread did you select 'watch this thread AND receive email notifications' (It's not default)?


2. In your contact preferences and do you have both 'receive email' options checked?


3. In your gmail inbox, did you also check the other tabs, did you double-check your 'social' and 'promotions' tabs?
