Help Not getting notifs on threads I know I watch

Hi all,

Title says most of the story; I'm not getting notifications when people post things in threads I am certain I watch (and have checked to make sure I watch them). Multiple people will post in a thread and I won't get any alerts regarding it, as if they hadn't posted.

I haven't adjusted anything in my alert preferences, and have not seen any alerts from the staff regarding alerts. Also, I have spoken to RPmates who are experiencing this problem on other RPs (they will remain unnamed).

I saw no Help posts regarding it at the time of this writing, so I made this. I do hope this post hasn't been made redundant in the process of me writing it.

Did I miss something? What do I do to fix this?

The system only sends one alert and won't send you more until you watch the thread again.

Try it out and watch it for a while and see if thats the case.

As a quick followup:

Here is a quick peek of my alerts.

I'm watching the Questions go here! thread. You'll notice that after Kaerri replied it says "There may be more posts after this".

I haven't gotten a "more posts after this" alert, though. The last time I got one for the thread in question was two days ago, and I knew people were posting after because we were communicating on outside media.

Try unwatching/watching the thread.

The alert system has always been wishy washy for the past few years ande it seems the second version of the board software we use that is coming out in the forseeable future, fixes most if not all of it.
