About Me
-
Hello! Thank you for expressing interest in my idea! I put a significant amount of thought into this one (as I often do with ideas I really like). Anyway, about me! My name is RealisticFantasy but you can call me Real, ReFa, or any variation of my name works. Even "hey you" is acceptable. I'm 18 years old and finishing up my last year of high school. I'm not new to RPing nor am I new to RPN as I have 6 and 3 years of experience under my belt, respectively (I think).
I love, love, love RP but sometimes I lose all inspiration and disappear mysteriously. This usually happens when I'm in a depressive mood so I might not reach out to you and express this. I'll definitely try but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Sorry in advance. Bright side: I am almost always checking for notifications and will reply as soon as I can if you shoot me a message. Additionally, when I'm in the mood for RP, I'm really in the mood for RP. I love writing long, detailed posts and get super excited about plots I enjoy. I daydream about my plots and am constantly trying to come up with new ideas.
Anyhoo, I think that's all I have for you now about me.

What I Want
-
The most important thing to me is someone that can write detailed, longer, grammatically correct posts. I prefer posts that are 3+ paragraphs but I understand that sometimes inspiration fails you. As for grammar, this is a must. Again, there is some leeway because I suffer from I-can't-stop-to-edit-I'm-too-excited syndrome. But, if you posts are constantly littered with basic grammar mistakes, it becomes more troublesome than fun for me to read them.
Next criterion is contribution. I have lots of ideas but that doesn't mean I don't want to hear yours. The story is just as much yours as it is mind. It gets exhausting to be the only one coming up with ideas. Even if your ideas are just for a tiny snippet of conversation, it's more fun to bounce ideas off of each other than to just follow one linear plot. Also, take charge of your character! I leave the description of other characters vague so that they're open to interpretation. You don't have to ask if you can do this or that. Just do it. If I don't like it, I'll tell you and we can talk about it.
Next is friendliness/activity. I love someone who likes to chat about the plot and fangirl over our characters. Sometimes you don't feel Ike reply. I mentioned above that I suffer from lack of inspiration sometimes. I get really paranoid if you don't say anything for a few days. I've lost some really awesome partners in the past to permanent mysterious disappearance and it's the worst.
Last but certainly not least is commitment. The plot I have outlined below is a somewhat vague description of a rather long time period. I'd like for this to be long term and take place over several months or longer. That's why its very important that you communicate and contribute.
I think that's all I could worry about at the moment. But, RPN has been plagued by skimmers recently. So please tell me your favorite fruit in a PM along with any information about you that you think I should know if you're interested. I know it's silly but I have to make sure people actually read. If you can't read an interest check, how can I trust you to read a post?
As for the character I'm looking for you to play, I'd like my partner to play the prince described in the plot below. Let me know what you have in mind for him! Is he a spoiled brat or is he practically perfect in every way? Does he hate the world or is his revenge exact?

Plot

For the RP, I'd like to start at Mai meeting the "Great Beast" and go from there.
Then
Once upon a time, there was a magical land that went by many names. It was filled with variety of peculiar beasts, plants of magical qualities, and a diverse population. This great land was divided into several kingdoms – each of which had their own identifying characteristics. One of this kingdoms was called Raeyllis, which meant Lands of the Beasts in the tongue of its people. It was home to the most diverse population of magical creatures from dragons to snowbeasts to fairies, ranging from friendly to feral.
The young queen, Mai’vryn Bannighymn, had recently come into power following the death of both her parents. Despite her inexperience and youth, she was a beloved queen who ruled justly. The Bannighymn lineage was that of a long line of warriors. However, Mai’vryn found a particular affinity for diplomacy both with neighboring kingdoms and nature. This earned her the title of Däirae (Beast Tamer) among her people.
One of the neighboring kingdoms to Raeyllis was Mïrarl, which translated to Land of Magic. Many of the inhabitants of Mïrarl were born with an aptitude for magic. Despite this, there was rare legal practice. Strict rules had been put in place to prevent the spread of black magic. Royal rule had little tolerance for black magic practitioners and the king of Mïrarl was kind but firm.
The king had only one heir, a son whom he planned to marry with Mai’vryn of Raeyllis to maintain peace and stability between the two kingdoms. The plan was proposed to Mai’vryn and she accepted the marriage to commence in a few years’ time. The king desired, however, a mother figure for his son as his biological mother had died in childbirth.
The king spent quite some time searching for the perfect wife. As soon as he settled on a woman, they were promptly wed and the kingdom rejoiced. Shortly after, the king died mysteriously. No one gave his death too much thought considering he was an old man and prone to several health issues. But, the prince knew the new queen was to blame.
For fear of him persecuting her for murder and taking the kingdom from her, the new queen of Mïrarl cursed the prince. Her curse turned him into a terrifying beast. Unable to communicate and shown no sympathy, the prince was driven from his kingdom in his bestial form.
With the prince taken care of, the queen turned her suspicions to Mai’vryn. She feared that the queen of Raeyllis would begin to inquire about the prince’s absence. With her reputation as Däirae, the queen enlisted Mai’vryn to “tame” the prince who had started to torment the kingdom. She accepted the mission and started out immediately.
When her taming techniques failed her, Mai’vryn realized that the queen had sent her out on a suicide mission. Mai’vryn returned to the queen, wounded, and accused her of doing so. However, the queen convinced her people that the Däirae had grown delusional from exposure to the Great Beast. With the help of conspirators planted among Mai’vryn’s ranks, the queen turned Mai’vryn’s own people against her.
She was condemned by her people for threatening the queen unprovoked and driven from her kingdom with a bounty on her head. With nothing but the clothes on her back, the Great Beast was the only ally she can trust and the two attempted to restore balance to their kingdoms.
Now
As the prince and Mai’vryn grew closer and a bigger threat to her reign, the queen had to turn to more desperate measures to maintain control. The queen once again turned to magic, sending herself, the prince, Mai’vryn, and their allies to the realm of reality. Having no recollection of their true lives, the rebellion against the queen now posed little threat. Although she had much less control as a mayor in the Land without Magic, she was content.
In their new lives, the prince was a town sheriff and Mai’vryn an escort. The queen had crafted more standoffish and aggressive attitudes toward each other to keep them apart. But when the sheriff attempts to bust a local strip joint for prostitution and gets hooked up with his “mortal enemy,” he discovers that the process wasn’t what he thought it to be. The escorts are paid to service far more than just sexual needs.
As he and Mai’vryn begin to grow closer, the cracks in the illusion begin to show. Not that that means the road to the truth isn’t a bumpy one.
