Hello!
All who would like to join know I want to try and keep the genders even! Along side the roles! I don’t want a ton of creatures and no townsfolk/hunters.

Rules for the thread:
•Try and keep genders even please!
•Also try keeping the roles even as well. This just means I don’t want a ton of characters that are just creatures, then there be no hunters or townsfolk.
•Limit of three characters MAX. You don’t have to make three but you can not make more then three characters.

she can transform into a caladrius, a big bird (think phoenix) that has healing abilities. that means she can heal others, by absorbing the physical hurt and the feeling of pain, but she herself will only experience a part of the damage and pain that the one being healed experiences. it also works with illnesses, her abilities can speed up the process of the sickness and minimize it. she can also selectively choose how much of the physical wound she heals, and how much of the pain she takes, meaning she can choose to heal with no pain to herself (won't happen, she usually always takes the pain as well) or choose to soothe the feeling of pain but not heal the wound.​

but, if she heals someone of illness, it affects her fully, unlike physical wounds and hurt, which is only a part of the original severity. it can all stack though, and drains her energy, so healing too much or too many at a time can be dangerous for her, deadly even, since she can heal to the point of her own heart stopping.​

Joe has lived in Birchwood most of his life. His parents were originally from New York, but his mother was insistent that they move to a place that more "quiet" where she could raise her son "right". His father knew better than to question the woman's authority so they packed their bags and moved onto the small town.


Joe was the eldest of three boys. It was him, Dante, and Luca. The man had always been known to play the big brother role well. When little Luca was picked on in kindergarten, he was the first to throw fists. Bloody nosed and bruised, he was a scrappy boy with a smart-mouth when provoked. He did alright in school. He didn't love math. In fact, he avoided the thing like the plague and skipped class to play hooky with his buddies.


In high school, he started out playing baseball, but into one fight too many before getting kicked out of the team. Not to mention, his coach was pretty much riding him hard to get passing grades so he couldn't even play until he got those marks up. That's when, Joe met his lovely wife, Evelyn.


Evie was smart girl, a great math tutor with a patience of a saint and a pretty cute smile. Oddly enough, he found himself softening around her. Minding his manner more. Going to practice more. Picking fights less and less. His parents, especially his mom, who usually didn't like most girls, was smitten by this intelligent young lady. So it was decided, right after high school, that these two were to get married.


The young couple's relationship wasn't without bumps along the road. They butt heads over where they were going to live. Evie wanted to get a college professor gig and run off to the big city while Joe was happy just in Birchwood, working his way up from working a beat. But they eventually settled down in Birchwood after Evie was pregnant with their first son, James. A few years later, they had their twin girls, Milene and Alessia.


Through out the years, Evie went unto become the principal of their former high school after being promoted from a calculus teacher. The woman knew how to run a school.


Joe would make police chief at the age of 58 when Larry Rothschild finally decided to retire and abdicate his throne. For the time being, Joe's pretty much kept his eye open for strange things happening in the town. He's personally not a believer of the rumour mill that "magic creatures" are running a muck so he'll believe only when he sees it.

Powers: Lich immortality- since Rebecca’s soul isn’t actually in her body, but her necklace, she can eventually recover from fatal injuries. More damaging methods of death such as fire or severe dismemberment can take months or years to heal. Her necklace is immune to physical damage, but can be destroyed by supernatural means. This is one thing she can’t recover from.

Necromancy: Rebecca can raise corpses as zombies, reanimate them to ask them questions, and possess them to see and hear through them.

Mediumship- Rebecca can see ghosts and allow them to possess her to gain their skills

Knowledge: While not a supernatural ability, Rebecca’s centuries of existence have allowed to pick up a working knowledge of a vast array of subjects both magical and mundane.

Backstory: Being Jewish in 15th Century Spain was… better than you’d expect, at first. Her parents had made a decent living as silk merchants, and Rebecca grew up in comfort, if not luxury. She discovered a talent for death magic at age twelve when she accidentally reanimated the family cat, but kept her talents hidden, or so she thought until the Spanish Inquisition came calling.

And before you ask, yes, she did expect them- she got the legally required thirty days notice.

Knowing that she was very guilty of the charge of witchcraft they pressed upon her, Rebecca’s thoughts turned to survival. With the help of a friend, another witch named Juanita, she managed to put her soul in a necklace the night before they put her to the stake. A little over a year after the burning, she managed to claw her way out of the grave, undead and immortal. Over the centuries, she made her way to Birchwood, where she now owns and operates a Spanish restaurant, El Perro Rojo.

Other: once a year on April 9, the anniversary of her execution, she meets with Juanita for lunch. One year it’s in the mortal realm, the next it’s somewhere in the afterlife. They’ve done Heaven, Elysium, Valhalla, Nirvana, and many others over the years.
