No notification (Glitch/Bug)

I have everything set to get my notifications through my email and through the normal feed, but for the entire weekend I got nothing off one of my roleplays.


I thought it had died, but I checked it today and everyone had managed to post an entire page and a quarter during the weekend, while I hadn't received anything.


It's kind of a serious bug, for me at least, since I was pretty much stalking my emails and the feed waiting for responses, and feel as though I should have actually checked the page myself but I didn't.


I'm using Google chrome, I've been able to get notifications on my email from watched forums, and two other watched threads, but not from the one single rp. Which, was meant to be sending me emails, and had worked before this happened.


Don't know what's wrong, this is probably a bug or a glitch, and hopefully it'll stop. But I feel pretty annoyed for thinking my roleplay had died on me, when really rpn had died on me and my rp was going fine.

It isn't a bug, it is just the way the alerts work.

I still get notifications through my email for all my rps, and I understand that some of my rps won't come up through alerts, I read that page before.


Whatever happening, for just this one roleplay, is only happening for this one roleplay, and there isn't anything wrong with the settings or anything I can change. It seems to be a bug/glitch for me.

To my understanding this just happened once with this one thread, so it's as Damaged said -


Alerts unfortunately go away if you hover over them but don't click into them, or if you don't scroll down and view all your alerts or a multitude of other reasons.


Mark all your threads read and see how that goes for a while

A tip to add:. If you did not click on the alert and are no longer receiving alerts/emails, I have found it helpful to unwatch the thread, then watch it again. This can reset the alerts. I hope this helps.

Notifications will not reset themselves if you do not read the very lastlast post that was made in the thread. So while you may have read the post hat sent the notification, it will not send you a new one unless you've at least scrolled to the ultimate post. This is a very common mistake with notifications, but it is not a bug.
