Taking place in an alternate version of the latest singleplayer entry to the Fallout Series, the post apocalyptic Boston and surrounding environs of Fallout 4, interested roleplayers participating in this concept are free to create or modify both new and existing factions alike, as well as modify/create their own locations and lore. Most notably, as the title suggests... There will be no Sole Survivor, no one (wo)man army that can decide the fate of the wasteland, and certainly no Shaun. When it comes to limitations upon your creativity, I ask that you simply don't take the helm of a faction that unfairly outclasses everyone else or disregards the prior established lore entirely. The starting date will be October 23rd of 2287. To add a nice degree of unpredictability to this, settle disputes, and to help decide outcomes of actions, dice rolling will be utilized. Aside from a few initial events to get the roleplay started, I hope little moderation or controlling of NPCs by your's truly will ever be necessary. For those having trouble deciding what you would want to be, maybe use the information contained within the link below to help you make your decision. If anyone has any initial faction claims, location claims, questions, or suggestions, please air them here.

The application thread is up. I'll make an out of character thread soon, but you guys can talk in the applications thread too.

But will settlements be marked on my map every hella day? Do I have three ways of saying “yes” and one way of saying “no maybe later” ?

What of legendary drops? Do I have the chance of getting a assassin’s Fatman from a mutant? Or a ghoul slaying gamma gun from a crab?
Will I get to pull a Chinese officer sword from inside the belly of a particularly beasty mosquito?

Only if Preston Garvey exists within a hundred yards radius of you. And you have infinite dialog options of your own creation that can be as sane or illogical as you please.

Dice rolling might be used to give loot that isn't usually just a single weapon to people if they defeat certain things. For example, if someone sacks Diamond City, they might roll to see how many thousands of bottle caps they pilfered. Or if someone destroys a supermutant camp, they might roll to find or repair the heavy weapons their enemies had since they're so destructive. It'll be a potentially optional way of determining what people get (aside from loot they'll obviously be able to find) that is luck based.

Usually, since this is a faction based roleplay, loot will be something valuable to a faction, and not to an individual. What you loot from some groups will also make sense. You won't find too many vaults with severed deathclaw hands in them, but you could find lots of technology.

Are you saying you're interested?

Bump. We're about to start in the next day or so. Any additional roleplayers are welcome.
