Hey Matthew, welcome to RPdom!
Well, the first thing you should probably do, you've already done. You've joined one of the finest RP sites in the whole of the internet!
I suppose next up you could give a little introduction about yourself, your likes and dislikes and what (if any) previous experience you've had with roleplaying. And, let's be serious, you would be surprised what 'roleplaying experience' could mean. Ever acted in a play? That's roleplaying. Ever played a computer game where you've had to choose your character's interactions with others? That's roleplaying. Ever even read a book and wondered what a character might do if circumstances in a situation were different? That's a form of roleplaying.
So why not give us a brief list of your interests and what genres (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, humor, anime) you are interested in and we can look at directing you toward games that might spark your imagination. Alternately, you could browse the Looking for Players forum and take a peek at the games we currently have on the site.
