Hey, just a small suggestion. Instead of making a newsletter every month, how about making it every 2 months? There will be more content to browse/choose from and the people working on the newsletter get a nice break in-between them. Schedules are the hardest thing to work around and I think that 1 month break would do wonders. You can also say the letter will get more looked forward to if it's not coming every month.
 
I don't wanna have to read two months of content in one page though :/

Haha. It wouldn't be two months packed into 1 newsletter. Just that you have 2 months of stuff to look through for 1 newsletter.
 
Mmmm I see the frequency as fine. Plus there are some users who look forward to newsletters (some in hope that they're nominated I've seen some beggars. Not a bad thing! Just shows how committed they are!) There would be more patience needed to wait for the newsletters to come out. 


And if it's in concern of the difficulty putting together the newsletter it's not difficult in the sense of writing it all up but rather receiving nominations for the categories. Much time is spent looking for threads under the criteria and if no user nominates then it takes a bit for the staff to find a thread and see if it fits the criteria.

I see. What I'm thinking is it must be tough to scour for something every month, so 2 months will give you some help and a breather. But if the helpers are already okay with monthly then I guess that's fine =P

I'm not sure how changing the schedule would necessarily help.  If the newsletter has to feature double the content for the span of two months, then there is still an equal amount of work that needs to be done.  Part of having the nomination forms is so that the folks working on the newsletter will have material they need to find.
 
We'd actually get to feature less of what's out there if we dropped the frequency, so personally I like the schedule the way it is.  It's not like we can't drop a month if Real Life and such gets too busy!

I mean instead of 12 Newsletters, there'll be 6. Instead of 12 RPOTM/MOTM, there'd be 6 in a year. So instead of having 1 month of suggestions to look at, helpers will have 2 months.

That makes sense. I'm only skeptical really, really good content can be found on a monthly-basis. =/.
