Never done roleplaying as a Narrator, but I have written a few decent fanfictions that people liked. I want to try being a Narrator in this roleplay I’m starting. Summary of my roleplay idea: Your soul will be transported into the younger version of your body in a world where a zombie apocalypse will begin in a year. You will also receive a class system with 7 tiers (which I will post below).
To progress through this tier system, you will need to write a certain number of well-crafted combat scenes and other engaging moments. The better and more frequently you write, the higher your power tier will be. The zombie world will follow a classic survival, combat, and trading genre.
Tier 1 – Novice Mage
Tier 2 – Apprentice Mage
Tier 3 – Adept Mage
Tier 4 – Expert Mage
Tier 5 – Master Mage
Tier 6 – Grandmaster Mage
Tier 7 – High Archmage

Mage Power Level Tiers (Adjusted)
Tier 1 – Novice Mage
- Can cast small elemental spells (fire spark, minor frostbite, weak shock).
- Magic is unstable and requires concentration.
- Very limited mana pool and slow spellcasting speed.
Tier 2 – Apprentice Mage
- Stronger elemental spells (firebolts, ice lances, minor lightning arcs).
- Gains weak support magic (small barriers, light healing, minor enhancements).
- Can imbue weapons with weak elemental energy.
Tier 3 – Adept Mage
- Can use area spells and enhance magic (fire waves, frost explosions).
- Gains stronger buffs (increased agility, temporary resistance).
- Magic shields are more durable, and spellcasting becomes faster.
Tier 4 – Expert Mage
- Can control multiple elements and mix magic types.
- Gains access to large-scale attacks (firestorms, ice walls, chain lightning).
- Can use runes, enchantments, and long-lasting barriers.
Tier 5 – Master Mage
- Can manipulate the environment with magic (earthquakes, blizzards).
- Summoning magic becomes reliable, allowing control over magical creatures.
- Defensive barriers are much stronger, and mana efficiency is significantly improved.
Tier 6 – Grandmaster Mage
- Can cast high-tier magic like time-slowing effects and battlefield-wide enhancements.
- Gains weather-altering spells and strong area-based magic fields.
- Can use limited teleportation and master high-level magical artifacts.
Tier 7 – High Archmage
- Can use legendary-level magic but at high mana cost and preparation time.
- Can summon powerful magical beings and cast large-scale spells.
- Can reshape local terrain but lacks true reality-altering abilities.
