I'm not new to rp as a whole, but this site is confusing me! I was wondering, in the 1x1 section of the forums, if someone posted a forum and nobody has replied, if you reply are you in that roleplay? and if I were to post a roleplay thread, if somebody replies, is that the start of the roleplay and my turn to respond? I'm a little lost, i'm sorry!

So, typically what you do is you go into the relevant Interest Check forum (In your case it would be the 1x1 Interest Checks) and post your idea, or look for threads by other people with their ideas. Once you've contacted someone from there and you've agreed on an RP to do together, the one responsible for creating the thread for the RP would then go to the 1x1 section, (or, equally as commonly for 1x1s in particular, in PMs) post the RP thread there, and then link their partner to it so they can start making posts.

I hope that helps ^.^

As a rule of thumb, do not post in someone else's roleplay thread (that are in Roleplays section) before contacting this person first and agreeing to roleplay with them. It applies both for 1x1 and Groups (even more so for 1x1).

1x1 Recruitment section is usually the first place to look for roleplays and once you find someone whose thread interests you, contact them and then you can agree to roleplay in public threads or in Private messages. :)

I also recommend taking a look at this guide, it explains how to use the site: Comprehensive Guide to RpNation
