Though he smiled in appreciation and gratefulness at both of their offers, Vulken's eyebrow raised slightly as Banshee explained her reasoning for requesting the presence of the Elders. While he would happily indulge in a cigarette or a bottle of liquor in a moment's notice, drugs were something he rarely got down with, especially something like Barbossan Flush. That substance was capable of tearing families apart after one use-- and he had done more than enough family destroying for his lifetime. If, at some point, his green-haired comrade somehow managed to figure out who was distributing the stuff , he'd be more than happy to help her bring them to the ground. "Flush, huh? That ain't nothin' to play around with. Shit's dangerous, especially here. My guess is someone's tryin' to kick us down as soon as we're trying to get back up." he wondered who it could be, which district this mess was coming from, but nothing came to mind. After all, things had to be way different than he remembered them being eight years ago. Once Banshee finished her note, seemingly anxious to get her message to the Elder's offices, she said her temporary goodbye.
"I'mma leave this in the office upstairs and shoot them some messages just to be on the safe side, but the moment I'm done consider me your big sis for any jobs you need done."
He nodded, and gently waved her off as she turned around and began to head upstairs. "Yeah, go ahead. We'll be waitin'." Just like that, she was gone as fast as she'd suddenly arrived. Becoming slightly annoyed by the cigarette in his hand, he held up an index finger at Anita as if to say 'one second', and walked over to the nearest trash can to discard it. As he walked back, un-balling his fist and allowing his palm to breathe fresh air after wiping it off on his pants, he couldn't help but crack a smile. 'Big sis'? Ain't no way you're older than me, but sure. I guess that can work. What an interesting character, much like the other new faces he managed to catch quick glimpses of around the hotel. At least they're actually doing something with their time here. We used to just kick ass and get our asses kicked.
Once he returned to his original partner for the day, she spoke to him with crossed arms, still looking forward. "Banshee's a Rookie, but she's put in more work since joining than some of our fresh Seniors. Feels kind of like she was already accustomed to gang-life from the beginning... I wouldn't know, though. I don't ask." he wouldn't be surprised if she was, but like her, he wasn't going to make an assumption so early after meeting her. He could definitely tell that she was a caring, hard worker-- a trait most people who chose this life typically lacked. Without speaking, he nodded, and the shorter woman looked slightly upwards towards him. "How do you feel about bringing her along? Then again, if stealth's your game, she's not the best candidate, and she'll tell you that herself."
He cleared his throat before speaking up, moving an unruly crimson lock of hair out of his view. "Oh, trust me, stealth ain't nowhere to be seen on my resume. She can definitely come with." they were going to need as much help as they could get. As much as everything else had changed, he doubted the Serpents changed at all. They were definitely still going to be as ruthless and violent as he remembered them being, and if a fight happened to break out, that modified... guitar-thing was going to come in handy for sure. "If she's not stealthy, she must be pretty strong, then, right? I'm looking forward to seeing both of you in action... Well, that's if we even end up in a fight, that is." he looked at her, maintaining eye contact as he spoke. "So, how you feeling about this? Excited to make some quick cash? It should be a breeze, as long as things don't get outta hand." Speaking of 'out of hand', Vulken realized that the cigarette he had just thrown away was the last one he had on his person. He quietly sighed with closed eyes, before looking to Anita once more. "Hey, mind if we run to the store real quick? I need to get...something. We can talk a little more on the way there."
