New Martial Arts Style

I was thinking of writing up a new style, based on the a bird's cutting swiftness, light weight, and sharp talons. Since I don't know much about martial arts, I decided to both post it here and let Skeptic Tank (my DM) work on it with me at home, since you folks come up with some good stuff.


So far I just came up with a few potential charm names, which give the feeling of the charm. I'm really sketchy on power levels, so I'll leave it up to you if you have any suggestions.


So far:


-Wings' Cover Defense (adding to Parry?)


-Raking Talons Onslaught (an offensive charm, don't know what )


-Brilliant Plumage Ruse (an attack hiding behind a defense? adds to Stealth? a counterattack?)


-Plummeting Kestrel Advantage (maybe lets you add your Athletics score?)


-Glorious Phoenix Supremacy (top charm, probably involves a huge firey form )

Before anything, do you know what kind of MA you are looking for? They are Terrestrial, Celestial or Sidereal? Straight-to-the point (like Immaculate styles) or indirect (like Obisidian Shards of Infinity)?

Me thinks, it must be a celestial style, since most of the animalistic styles are celestial.

You don't need to have it be celestial if you're basing it on an animal... all that matters is power and effects.

Some of the better ones based on birds:

• Storm Crow and its revision
  
• Wolf & Raven. Pay attention to the 2E fixes by Tony C later in the post. They balance the style so much better that I backported them to 1E.

Since there's already a thread here mentioning new martial arts styles, I was  wondering if you guys could look at one I've been working on, called Butterflies and Hurricanes Technique. It's not finished yet, but some fo the charms are on Lore5. I'd really like some feedback on them, if you have time.

I'm afraid it's Celestial, but yeah, chaos theory is where I got the basic idea from... I have the rest of the charm ideas semi-worked out in my head, but I'll write them up sometime when I haven't just drunk a bottle of wine.

Terestrial god 1: Hmmm?  If a butterfly flaps it's wings in the West, and there's nothing and no one else there to see it, is there still something for the Earth elementals in the Eastern court named Most Sagacious Tribunal of the 25 Cubic Meter Cave Just Over the Ridge from Ma and Pa Kettle's House to debate about.


Terrestrial god 2: *looks over its shoulder* Apparently for at least half the year.

Final charms are written up, just need to finish the tags. Prerequisites and stuff are laid out. Oh, how do I get the diagram of the charm tre on the page?
