Thorn Darkblade

I know lots of things. Lots of things...
So, two of my games are on hiatus until summer due to player in school and such. So, this gives me time for ONE more game. I have multiple ideas, and I'll list them below. I am willing to expand on details of each.

nWoD- Fallout- Posted this once before, but, post-nuclear shenanigans in the American Midwest. Most likely Vaulters, or for a twist, Enclave. Custom merits and flaws to reflect Perks, pure mortal build, and all the ridiculous cheesiness of the Fallout setting (and even more. Ever seen a ghoul with a cheesehead?)

D&D 3.5- Ptolus- Monte Cook's City by the Spire: Lvl 1-20 in but a single city, with a sprawling underground, intense urban environment, tons of factions, politics, and more. Core 3.5 and sourcebook only, will possibly review more options, but don't count on it. High roleplaying, lots of setting bits, very much immersive.

nWoD Innocents- Through the Looking Glass- Wonderland. Neverland. Narnia. Many other names have been given to these children's dreams. But are they merely dreams, or a glimpse of something more? Listen to the whispers of the Cheshire Cat, and find out exactly how deep the rabbit hole really goes.

Exalted- Dragonblooded- The Lost Eggs: Another outcaste from the Threshold....but you were spared the Coin and Razor because of your skill. You've been recruited as part of a special operations team, trained in the Treshold, not important,

I voted for Lost Eggs. And are you saying BOTH Unmei no Kaze and Requiem of the Gods are on hold?

hehe, I've been trying to get into a nWoD game (or really, a WoD game in general) but very few come through here. Most are just based on WoD systems - including both the ones Thorn is considering. Innocents would be awesome, but I have no desire to play in Wonderland. I voted for Fallout, though, I think it'd be fairly awesome.

You sure on Wonderland? I'm goin American McGee's route on that one, :P

But, yeah, the Fallout mod I've been working on promises to be fun. Post apocalyptic Milwaukee. No deathclaws though. None at all. Just badgers. Heh. Heh. Heh.

And Isa, vote up top if you wanna see Innocents. I'm gonna let this poll run for a while, and discuss ideas with those curious. Some folks might change votes, :D

Putting my vote on Lost Eggs and Ptolus. Fallout seems interesting, except for the fact that i've never been able to play one of those games.

I still keep hoping that someone, someday, will want to run Mummy: The Resurrection.

"To dream the impossible dream..."

In the meantime, I play a lot of Exalted.

I keep hoping someone will one day run Vampire or Werewolf... I've been part of at least 3 games that never took off now. But I shouldn't complain - Glory of the Unconquered Sun is my first game to reach the second scene in my years on this site, at least I'm getting to play... and In Iron Halls looks like we're getting close to the second scene as well.

And read Mummy. Which is most emphatically not "a storytelling game of personal horror" or "a storytelling game of savage horror" or a "storytelling game of passion and horror" etc.

Mummy's tagline is, "Where there is life, there is hope."

Somehow, it never quite caught on in the WoD.

[QUOTE="Thorn Darkblade]Never been able to? Why not?

Didn't knew they existed until recently; and my time for pc games is currently limited to 3 matches of League of Legends per week.

I too keep hoping someone will one day run Mummy/Demon/Orpheus/Kindred of the East.
Add CthulhuTech, Dresden Files RPG and TfOS.

I don't suppose you're planning on running it as Pathfinder, are you? It's taken me quite some time to get used to the tiny differences and improvements, and I don't think I could possibly go back without totally messing up the rules in my head.

I actually haven't played around with Pathfinder. 3.5 is still solid enough with a decent DM though, and one who's willing to say 'No, fuck you, you're not making a million iron walls to exploit the economy'

It's not that I have any specific complaints about 3.5, it's more that the rules are very similar (of course) but the slight differences took me so long to learn that I have trouble going back. I'll trip over every tiny rule difference every time. S'alright though, you look like you have enough players as is, I might as well not fight for a slot I didn't vote for (my votes were for Fallout and DBs - I've still never run a DB, although I've made several for games I didn't get into).

Well, roll call for dnd, and preferred classes. Just a note, doing pretty much the core rules, plus the ptolus book. Chaositech and eldritch might will be allowed on a case by case basis, mainly because both were heavily incorporated into the original draft of the setting.

Also, druids and rangers, while not impossible, aren't exactly the best choices for a highly urban setiing. Bards and rogues shine brilliantly.
