She is shy and uptight, always doing the right thing and exactly what is expected of her. There is a way to live life and she is going to check all the boxes on her path. Her parents are in her business and have high expectations for her. She is attracted to other women, but that is buried deep down, underneath all the rhetoric of her family.
The first day of college is a simultaneously daunting and uplifting endeavor. MC looks at the experience as another way to please her parents and more 'life boxes' to check. MC believes that there is a rhyme and reason to life and one must always follow the path -laid out by her parents. Until she meets YC. Then everything comes falling down around her. YC is confident or dominant and shows MC a new side of life. This brings her out of the regimented life that was created for her and with YC's help comes to realize many things. (IE. She's really into girls! -amongst other things-
