  A young woman with short cocoa-brown hair and amber eyes. Her left arm appears to be made of living ice, up to her elbow. Where ice meets skin, it dissolves into a pattern of arcane runes. Her default expression seems withdrawn or distracted, perhaps even unfriendly, but this is not intentional. Her voice is low and soothing.

  PERSONALITY

  Siv is calm and even-tempered, and often finds herself guilted into mediating conflicts among her family and friends. She'd rather be left out of it, but feels like her judgement is required to keep them away from each other's throats. Rather than constantly trying to consider what's best for this person or the other, or what the most diplomatic solution would be, Siverne often wishes she could just do whatever SHE feels is right and let everyone else deal with it! She prefers to sleep late, loves spicy food and drinks, and is terrified of lizards.

  HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY

  Second child of the Wesleton family, she was not exactly noted for her skill and understanding in her magical training. Her struggles with lessons were a concern for her parents, as she seemed to have some kind of mental limitation that was getting in the way of her potential. They discussed ending her education in magic and releasing her companion. Rather than accept her limitations and say goodbye to her closest friend, Siverne made a contract with a jinn, exchanging her left arm for an unfettered mind, capable of reaching it's natural potential. Her marks improved immensely overnight, and her arm was replaced with one fashioned by a creature of unknown motivation.

  RELATIONSHIPS

  Siverne's parents are Amelia and Haarburn Westleton, 52 and 58. Her siblings are brother Chelton, 27, and twin sisters Mina and Yelsea, 20. Her closest and most trusted friend is her companion, Yves Auclair (Played by Kaliii).

  Nora's Box: A pocket-sized ornate box with small semi-precious stones in the lid. When opened in the presence of a corpse, it allows the holder to ask up to five questions. The voice of the deceased responds through the box itself. They can only answer questions they knew the answer to while alive, and may refuse to answer. If the corpse refuses to speak or the questions run out, it simply plays music box chimes.
  Portal Clasp: This golden earring has no mate. The jagged hoop allows small portals to be created, no larger than sixteen inches in diameter and no smaller than five. Each entrance portal must have a corresponding exit portal, and portals must be placed in a location the user can see. Only one pair of portals may be opened at a time. Items or beings within the portal when it closes are left undamaged, on the side where most of their mass is located at the time of closing.
  Talos' Clap: A golden ring set with a dark grey pearl. Creates a thunderclap of sound, along with buffeting wind and rain in an instant, which can merely be a distracting noise, or can stun and knock a target back up to ten feet. This requires the wearer to be able to use their hands to direct the sound or blast.
  

  INNATE MAGIC + CONTRACTS

  Contract with the jinn Ruelis. Sold her left arm for enhanced concentration and magical aptitude. Left arm (only from elbow down) is immune to cold, and can chill things or keep them cold.

  WEAPONS + EQUIPMENT

  A weighted wood and gold cane, capable of giving a good whack, poking into mysterious holes, pointing at things, hooking and nudging things that no one wants to touch, and giving a short girl a little more reach. Purse containing notebooks and writing materials, a few small empty jars, magnifying glass, tweezers, needles and twine.

  Yves (Eve) sports a head of silver hair that is rarely, if ever, worn down. Her eyes are a blue so pale they could be mistaken for gray at a glance, and though they may seem piercing at first, there is a mischievous and kind look behind them. Her voice is a soft, ethereal tone, though can turn authoritative when need be. The alias Minnow was one she gave herself as a joke seeing as the fish has no teeth or a spine, and those who know her know that she has a bite.

  PERSONALITY

  Despite her colder appearance, Yves is a loyal and genuine person, especially for those she cares about. For her friends, she wants nothing more than to see them succeed, stays by their side through thick and thin, and would take the fall for someone without hesitation. An excitable young woman, Yves is not afraid to jump head first into a situation without knowing all of the details or caring about consequences, something that has certainly got her into trouble more than once. She is also very outspoken, not afraid to speak her mind and let others know what she thinks of them, their ideas, or anything else that may come up, though it is hardly ever out of malice. Though she tries to deny it, Yves cares greatly about what others think of her. She loves being out at night, be it to simply relax and gaze at the stars, get a drink, or whatever other activities she feels up to in the moment.

  HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY

  Yves was given up at birth to New Aeternum to become an Arbiter’s companion, and was placed under the care of the Westleton family. Growing up she felt as if she had a great weight on her shoulders. Not only was she charged with the protection of an Arbiter, but she also felt as if she had to prove herself as a human in a society of Aeternals. She worked very hard in her studies, putting in her best at any given opportunity, though it wasn’t easy. Her ambitions often clouded her judgement, leading to confrontations that sometimes earned her respect, though more often than not left a sour taste in other’s mouths. At the same time, Siverne, the one whom she is a companion to, struggled in her studies. Although she did her best to help keep her caught up she wound up becoming distracted by her own goals and desires, leading to her friend exchanging her left arm to a Jinn. Yves deeply regrets not being able to do more and having the situation so dire, but was deeply touched that Siverne would do such a thing not only to surpass her limitations, but to also keep her from being released from her role as a companion. From then on the woman vowed to do anything in her power to repay that kindness.

  RELATIONSHIPS

  Being a companion, Yves was taken from whatever biological family she had a birth. However that hasn’t stopped her from finding a new family, that being the Westelton’s. They include Amelia and Haarburn, the respective parents, Chelton the eldest brother, the two young twins Mina and Yelsea, and of course her arbiter and dearest friend Siverne (played by Paperstick).

  Always first on the scene, Lann tends to snag at one's peripheral vision with intensely knitted brows and a respectable stature. When accompanied by a measured smile—or at least nothing unbecoming—the goosebumps raised by first impressions tend to fade with the full picture. His uniform may as well be a second skin, but on the odd night out his clothing style and color choice are best described as 'decadent calico'.
  
  In motion, Lann's confidence meets eagerness in almost every gesture: vigorous handshakes rise as fast as they fall, a new friend can be given the lenience of an old one, and 'straight to business' is an understatement for anyone who lacks the status to slow his roll. The intimate movements between these frames are the sort of thing an investigator wants to keep hidden: a lopsided smirk when he has the upper-hand, uncanny rigidity triggered by any sort of surprise, and the slightest of a slump after realizing the workday just escalated into a workweek.

  PERSONALITY

  A creature of initiative and intensity, it's easier to see Lann as a human freight train than a man capable of being reasonably convinced of anything. By the time he's out the front door, hours of hard work and preparation have gone into forming a schedule, ensuring reliable results, and providing an—if not valuable—at least interesting and novel list to check-off at the end of the day. Where exactly he, and his companion, get all their energy from is a mystery; but to anyone on Lann’s warpath the duo are clearly better evaded than endured.
  
  Outside the rigidity with which he follows his motivations, Lann is reliably ceremonious, confrontational, and a tad self-indulgent. He'll spend an hour chatting up someone he's only met in passing like they've known each other for years, and has overcome his childhood need to always appear composed and self-serious just-enough that embarrassing himself for a good joke or to learn a new skill is worth the laugh.
  
  Outside of these tendencies, there are few who've seen Lann in varied enough circumstances to clamp on any other specific traits. He generally keeps his deep love of seeing loyalty expressed—no matter for who or what, to himself. When not guided by external factors like his lord, there's an unexpected spontaneity and humanist quality to his goal-oriented existence.

  Lann isn't one to let impurities spoil a bond, certainly not without exhausting simple solutions first—but shared blood has managed to complicate what is otherwise a recipe for success. Communication isn't non-existent; he accepts his mother's invitations to attend a quiet supper or prestigious gala, and never goes more than a few months without being included in some sort of correspondence from The Observatory hinting he's been spoken highly of by his father. Still, to those who've known the family long enough, it's clear something has soured their connection far more potent than growing distant with aging and distance.
  
  Otherwise, the list of peers who have at least a little to say about Lann's most recent happenings is never shorter than a mile; and over a decade later he continues to consider his apprenticeship's masters—a woodwind-focused troubadour and the region's most prestigious judge on territory disputes—as close as, well, family.

People might underestimate her, thinking she's just a fun-loving sidekick, but they're in for a shock. Well… Sora is a fighter through and through. With her lightning-fast reflexes and clever tactics, Sora is like a ninja in disguise. She can mostly hold her own against opponents who seem to have the upper hand.

  PERSONALITY

  Sora is like a burst of confetti in a dull room, a little ball of comedy ready to sprinkle laughter wherever she goes. With her, there's never a dull moment, as she always has something random and witty to say, leaving people wondering what delightful surprise she'll come up with next.
