  There is nothing definitive about life after death, except the involuntary enrollment at the mysterious Nevermore Academy. While learning their curriculum, students may recover the memories of their tragic demise. But between the Dean's macabre demeanor and the tell-tale dangers of Final Exams, students must learn to rely on one another and their newly acquired ghost forms, or Spectres, to not only survive until graduation from the academy… but to earn a second chance at life.

  **No prior knowledge about the Webtoon needed.**

  Hey guys!
  First of all, if you haven’t read the webtoon series, I’d highly suggest reading it. It's in comic style and on Webtoon for free (Nevermore). The style is interesting (it definitely has some gothic horror to it) and the characters are complex and loveable.
  But if you don't feel like binge-reading the series, no worries!

  If you don’t want to read it or just forgot some details, here’s a quick summary of some things that would be nice to know:
  
  
  • Characters in the series are based on characters from Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories and poems. I’d prefer the rp to not include characters in the series.
  
  
  • After death, you’re required to enroll at the mysterious Nevermore Academy. There, students begin curriculum at the academy to recover the memories of their tragic demise, learn to be able to access their ghost forms (aka Spectres), and pass Final Exams (which are rumored to be dangerous). But what does all this get you? If you manage to pass the Finals, you get a second chance at life! But when no one can remember who they were during life (save for dreams showing glimpses here and there), how can you know who to trust?
  
  
  • Types of Spectres (ghost forms; ghost forms can phase through solid objects, levitate, and have various abilities depending on the form; to access their spectre students have to think of how they were feeling when they died):
  - dybbuk: an evil spirit, students who have this spectre were usually not very
  moral people while they were alive
  - doppelganger: able to copy themselves, usually associated with people who
  had multiple personalities while they were alive
  - lady in white: a female spirit dressed in a wedding gown, people with this spectre were betrayed by someone they loved when they died
  - guardian spirit: this form comes with the students’ weapon of choice while they were alive and a shield, students who have this spectre were warriors or trailblazers of some kind while they were alive and spent their last breaths protecting or sacrificing for those they cared for
  - cryptid: cryptids are animal spirits (usually wild predators), these people were usually adventurous and protective of those they were close to during life (sometimes protecting those they cared for), usually at peace with leaving the land of the living when they died
  - shadow man: not as much is known about this one but the character with this spectre definitely hid from things while he was alive

Neat concept~ Though since it's based on the webtoon, might wanna change your Thread Prefix to 'Fandom', so people know what it's referring to. Good luck!

Yessssss I was just about to give up hope. I tried to make it easy to understand for people who hadn't read the webtoon but no one seemed interested
It's definitely on my list of favorite webtoons
