Rules!!
Okay, so these are the overall rules of the RP, and none of them are to be broken under any circumstances. In an RP like this where the nature of the game is competitive, it's very tempting to try and find loop holes through these rules, but I assure you that any such attempts will be found out instantaneously by yours truly. I'm not a veteran role-player with over 16 years of experience for nothing nor was I born yesterday.
Follow the rules, and we'll have absolutely no problems!
Rule #1: - No God-Modding.
This one should be obvious and a no-brainer, but still I see infractions of it all over this site with other GM's overlooking it at nearly every turn. I will allow no such easy street passes. If I find anything you do in the RP to be God-Modding, from trying to escape every mission without a scratch to trying to portray your character as better than the other player characters with an abnormally high kill count, I've seen it all and I tolerate none of it.
You are an equal to your peers in this RP, so get used to it.
Rule #2: - Respect your fellow role-players.
This rule is, again, a no-brainer. As long as you show respect to your fellow role-players then you and I won't have an issue. If, for whatever reason, you have a problem with someone then you have two options: sort it out yourselves or ask me to sort it out for you. There will be zero verbal jousting or dick measuring contests in my OOC threads between members. If I see any of that, I'll boot both offenders on the spot with zero protest or warning.
Rule #3: - As the GM, I am the driving force of the plot.
If you want a side-mission or think that you have a good idea for a mission which everyone could take part in, you must inform me of your idea and present it in a way that is clear and concise. If it is well thought out and fully detailed, I will likely accept it. If it is poorly conceived and ill-prepared when you tell me about it, I will likely decline it.
I have a solid story in mind for this RP, and though it is flexible to your ideas at times I will tolerate no changes in story dynamic on your end as a role-player unless it's cleared with me ahead of time. So for example your characters will not go AWOL without proper notice and discussion with yours truly, nor will they suddenly be familiar with introduced figures of importance such as the Dragon Squadron because you think it'd be "cool" or "interesting" for your character. Someone tried that in a previous version of this RP and they basically ruined the story I had set in mind by trying to become a co-writer of the plot without asking me first.
Needless to say, they didn't remain in the RP for very long.
Rule #4: - If you have something to say, then please say it.
I know my rules make me sound like a total stiff, but believe me I'm far from it so long as you follow my rules and don't push my buttons as the GM. If you play to the RP the way it's presented and asked of you, then you'll enjoy the experience.
If you have ideas, then be vocal about them. I'm open to them so long as you, as stated in the above rule, present them well. I am open to ideas for enemy squadrons, new locations, new ally NPC's or any such other kinds of characters which you think might benefit the RP. However, do not create them just to create them. This RP is designed for you to just willy nilly throw ideas at me. They must be of benefit to the RP, and not just cater to what you think would be fun for you. You need to include everyone in your calculations, so please keep that in mind at all times.
Thank you!
