NASCAR idea

Ten Thousand Club
Hello again you guys!

I've had an ide floating around and I really wanted to try it out.

It involves a boy and girl in their teens who drive for NASCAR. Both really great at what they do and both enjoying life, but both compete against one another almost every race. Thing is, they secretly like each other and when one gets injured, it shows. What will happen for this couple? Will they forget their feelings because their managers don't approve of the relationship?

So yeah, if anyone's interested just comment below or PM me!

Thanks guys!

I actually had an idea for a NASCAR story a year or two ago. I realize this is completely different from what you were proposing, but does this sound interesting?

* There is a woman driver. She's something of a tomboy, very gruff and no-nonsense, yet is relentlessly scrutinized by fans and the media for being a woman in a "man's sport".

* The crew chief is very young for the position, but is something of a prodigy. With him backing up the woman driver, they form a very competitive, but frequently unlucky team.

* As a show of faith to their driver, the entire pit crew start dressing in pink/purple firesuits and refer to themselves as "the girls" (despite all crew members being male), in order to deconstruct gender stereotypes and show that the scrutiny is pointless.

* Once the crew starts dressing in "feminine" colors, the crew chief actually gets into it quite heavily, and becomes almost a full-on transvestite.

* The driver and crew chief have clashing personalities, but find respect for one another, and a romance blossoms.

Ahahaha yay- do you follow NASCAR? Like, are you familiar with all of the terminology and so forth?

I'm familiar with a little bit of the the terminology but not that much anymore. @Odelay

I got one other idea, what if the team-owner is kind of a scrappy, seedy type of person like the lawyer Saul from Breaking Bad? What if the team seems to suffer from financial woes yet makes it to the track every week, and is plastered with obscure, dumpy sponsors?

I just set up this account so I need to make a couple more posts before I'm allowed to PM. I'll send you a message as soon as I can.
