Now that I'm free for the summer, I'm looking to add a few more roleplays under my belt! My official search thread is here, so feel free to look at all of my rules/things there if you're curious of my style, otherwise here's a simple list to introduce myself~
- My name is AwkwardSilence, but you may also call me Sil, Silence, or even Night
- I am a semi-lit to literate poster, so you can expect anything between two to four chunky paragraphs per character
- You can expect good grammar, but I post on my phone a lot too, so autocorrect loves to shank me in the side. I try to go back and edit as soon as I notice something!
- I'm into Naruto, but I don't know a lot of the attacks by memory, so you might find me referencing the wiki a lot, please be patient!
- I love any form of Canon x OC or OC x OC
- I prefer the female role in MxF but I am willing to double up (so I will play one female and one male)
- I have different OC's to choose from!
- Kind and considerate of my time---I do have a lot of replies to write, on and offsite, but I will try to get to yours from anywhere between three days and a week
- Have good grammar--I completely understand the occasional spelling error or mind slip--no one is perfect!
- Able to write at least two paragraphs--I hate being RP catfished by people who say they can write a ton and then only write five sentences and blame it on "writers block." I understand that writers block is a real problem, but I it's a pet peeve of mine to continuously be writing paragraphs more than my RP partner when they promise to write more. Like, one way to get out of writers block is simply to write! Okay, I'm off of my soap box, I hope I didn't scare you away!
- Willing to tell me when you'll be away for more than a week~ I will try to do the same with you!
- Be willing to write the same amount for my crush as your own character if we're doubling up. It's only fair
Alright! Now with those out of the way, we can get to the good stuff. Naruto! I love Naruto and have finished the series (not all the movies) and started Baruto, but I decided I really needed to rewatch it from the beginning. I just get so tired of fillers, lol, but what can you do? As far as what I'm looking for, it can be just about anything as long as it has to do with the Naruto Universe! I'd be interested in following the storyline, starting from the beginning, creating our own Konohagakure in the distant future (but keeping the technology and everything relatively the same--I don't want to do to it the same way I didn't like what Legend of Korra did to ATLA ;w; ).
As far as OCs go, I have a lot, and I can easily create more if you don't see any you like. I even have a few ideas for new jutsus, etc.! I will also put who my characters' crushes could potentially be~ Please let me know if you're just interested in playing a canon character, or if you'd prefer to double up as well, and let me know who your character is!
As it stands, if our characters need their own squad, my OC Myka will fill the gap, in which I ask that you be willing to play Kakashi as he is her main romantic interest. I will then also play another squad member (most likely Suzuko) to fill out the team. He doesn't have to have a crush in this case.
Subaku, Myka, and Suzuko all have really old forms. If I end up using one of them, I will probably end up making a new form for them! Please forgive any spelling errors or old crappy art because of this. ^-^;

Other Physical Traits:. Hanaru has a pair of fuzzy ears and a fuzzy little cat tail - both are because she is not completely human. She hides her tail using a special chakra-embedded talisman that she wears on her person, but simply hides her ears underneath her ninja headband.
Personality:. Hanaru is definitely not the most bright-eyed and optimistic teen - because of her past, she is highly untrusting and can come across as cold and aloof. She doesn't want to take the time to get to know new people, and thus it has to be done almost completely by the other person, so it can feel like a chore trying to get her to like you. She doesn't always hate everyone, but more often than not she feels like social interraction is a waste of time, and she grew up basically on her own, so she doesn't need to be around others to feel fulfilled. A true introvert, she is more likely to open up one on one, if you get close enough to where she can trust you, that is. She has a barbed tongue and lots of defenses to prevent herself from being hurt (both emotionally and physically), and she will be the first to speak up if she dislikes something, because she is incredibly blunt and doesn't bother herself with worrying how her words might affect others. Still, if you somehow manage to become her friend, Hanaru is completely loyal - even to a reckless degree, always putting herself in harms' way to defend her loved ones because she has a skewed view that her own life really doesn't matter in comparison to that of those she wants to protect. Sometimes she truly believes that her own soul cannot be saved, and thusly doesn't think anyone would care if she were to be killed - she has no problem with death, unless given something to prove and/or fight for. Definitely a bit harsher and more mature than those her age, a lot of the people around her don't really understand how she works or even bother to try and befriend her because of the hurdles they have to go through to do so, and thus she is a loner. She is most content when by herself, but it would be interesting to see if she could become emotionally attached to someone enough to want to just be in their presence.

Although they had no ninja academy or Tsukikage, they always attracted strong noble families from the Earth Kingdom (that's their closest border) who either hired ninja as bodyguards or trained their immense children in the art of ninjutsu, and strife was common in the small country. Eventually, two clans began to form as the eastern and western sides of Tsukigakure became split entities, the two noble families feuding constantly over land, ports, and supplies. In order to stop the civil war, it was decreed that Hanaru's mother, Itsuki (who was a young noble princess from the eastern side), was to marry the son of the western leader. They were married and had a healthy son (Hitsugi), and Tsukigakure experienced a breath of peace. Unfortunately, Itsuki's heart did not belong to the Western Prince, and when she found a mysterious man wounded on the side of a road and nursed him back to health, they fell in love and Itsuki was soon pregnant. When she was discovered, the West was outraged that they had been double-crossed, thinking it was all a ruse by the East to join the two nations, and the East was furious with Itsuki for being a harlot when she had never wanted to marry in the first place. What was even more unprecedented, was that it turned out that the man whom Itsuki had fallen in love with was not a man at all, but a Demon from the Otherworld. He had been expelled from the Otherworld for being a human sympathizer, and that was how he had met Itsuki. Civil war broke out between the two sides, bloody battles of which the island nation had never seen before, and countless numbers on both sides died. Losing terribly, the Noble Eastern family was horrified when Hanaru was born, and they called her a demon child who had cursed them all. Itsuki fled her family with her newborn baby, Hanaru's demonic father covering their escape. He was attacked by both sides, and died heroically protecting his lover and their newborn daughter. From Tsukigakure, Itsuki fled into the Land of Earth, and barely had enough to get by. As Hanaru grew, they were both shunned and become outcasts wherever they went because of Hanaru's demonic features, and Itsuki constantly apologized to the girl for having brought her into a world that was so cruel to her mixed blood.
As Hanaru got older, word had reached them that Tsukigakure had finally been conquered completely by the son of the western lord with the help of his son, and Hanaru's half brother. What was worse, was that with the land joined together, they sent out hired ninja and Hanaru's half brother out to look for Itsuki and Hanaru, and they had to run constantly in order to stay hidden from them, as their heads were wanted on a silver platter. With little resources and little money, Hanaru resorted to stealing and cheating, lying, doing whatever sort of sordid criminal acts she could just so that she and her mother didn't get by. She did her best to do these things without Itsuki's knowledge, but she did know. She also knew that they were out of options, and was forced to watch her daughter slowly become a high class criminal, as Hanaru found that with her demonic heritage, chakra use and ninjutsu came easily to her. Using her skills and chakra control to her advantage, Hanaru's image became swept with blood, breaking her mother's heart, although she still loved her daughter dearly. Hanaru built up a reputation for herself, and eventually was given the name None, as she never left survivors when she did her work.
The more rooted Hanaru became in criminal activity, the more things started to look up for her and her mother. Unfortunately, this time of mild comfort and happiness was not meant to last. Looking to bring his mother home, and kill his criminal half-sister, Hitsugi ambushed Hanaru and her mother, nearly killing the purple haired child. This near-death state triggered her demonic blood, and in order to protect herself, her demonic side completely took over, killing Hanaru's consciousness and also killing anyone they had deemed a threat. Hitsugi escaped with only a handful of men, but in her blind possession, Hanaru had killed Itsuki who had tried to snap her out of it. Itsuki died in Hanaru's arms after she had come back to her senses, still loving her daughter despite having been slain by her. Burdened heavily with the guilt of killing her own mother, the only person in the world who cared about her existence, Hanaru tumbled down a dark and endless path, losing any and all empathy she had left for humans, and she forgot completely how to forgive herself. Before, when she had taken assassination requests, she had still retained a bit of a moral compass, but after the death of her mother, she was shrouded in darkness. She no longer cared whether or not she lived or died, just so long as she didn't run into her half brother again - she had convinced herself somehow that despite everyone, she would never kill another blood-related family member ever again, no matter what. Needing something to blame for all of her life's misfortunes, Hanaru grew to detest humans altogether, although she made it her main goal to become stronger so she could murder the man who had caused her mother so much strife, and he who was responsible for killing her own father; the Western Prince who had become the Lord of Tsukigakure.
Hanaru's plans for revenge took a left curve, however, when she had strayed too close to Konohagakure, and she was captured and detained by the ANBU and taken to the Sandaime. He gave her a rather curious ultimatum; either she joined the village and tried to make a more positive outcome out of her life, or the ANBU assassinate her for her criminal status. Coming to the conclusion that she was not yet ready to die, Hanaru agreed to become a part of the village. She was always watched by at least one ANBU or Jonin at the start of her stay, but something inside of her begged for release from her bloody past, and slowly but surely she began to enjoy village life, and was allowed to attend to the Ninja Academy. Promising herself that she would not give up on her ultimate goal, she still was able to slowly start to forgive herself for everything she had done, and began to slowly let go of everything that had happened in the past. She would still, however, strive to set Tsukigakure and her mother's restless spirit free by killing her stepfather, and she would not let herself be deterred.

As a half demon, Hanaru's recovery rate is much quicker than that of a human's. Her body heals cuts and normally-fatal wounds within a matter of hours, although she can still risk bleeding out. Her speed and power is also amplified due to her mixed blood, and she doesn't have to perform hand signs in order to channel her chakra - she simply has access to it and only needs to mentally will her jutsus into existence.
Following Inuyasha logic, her demonic blood will overtake her body if she is in near death. As this is a last-ditch effort in order to save herself, she has no control over anything she does, and she'll take out anyone who could potentially be harmful towards her. It is not invincible, although it does amplify her speed and power, as well as her already large amount of chakra. The whites of her eyes become pitch black, her canines increase in size along with her claws, and she gains tear-streak tattoos under her eyes in a golden color.
Also following Inuyasha logic, she has one day of a month that she is completely human. She is significantly weaker in this form, although not unable to protect herself. She doesn't let anyone know about this form, and the day that it falls on is the night of the Full Moon.

basically my main go to for Hanaru is Sasuke -- they kind of have a love hate relationship, but it's based around respect for each others abilities first. It's a slow burn towards romance, but it's my favorite ;w;

Silver hair and purple eyes, she isn't too common a sight in Konohagakure. She wears a light purple loose fitting t-shirt that has a low-cut v-neck and black fingerless gloves. Her matching hita-ite is tied around her head as a headband and she wears black shorts and black sandals. Her left arm is completely wrapped most of the time, concealing a tattoo that she doesn't know where it came from. Her hair is mostly bluntly cut, having bangs and then two long pieces of hair in front of her ears that she sometimes pulls back to tie into a small bun behind her head while the rest of her hair simply hangs (and it stops at the small of her back). Her knees are also wrapped in bandages, and she has a belt that has her kunai holster on the right side and the scroll holster on the left.
Personality|:.
She's nice to her friends and mean to her enemies. When she is teased, she tries to shake it off with a quick-witted pun and a smile, but that doesn't always work. She will strongly defend those who cannot stand up for themselves. When hurt or beaten, that just makes her that much more determined to survive. Her only friend is planning on becoming a medical nin, but Subaku felt she'd much rather fight in the field than heal. Her nindoh (ninja way) is to do everything one hundred percent, and to live her life to its fullest potential while continuing to grow stronger every day.
A bit of clutz, Subaku never gives up despite her obvious isolation from most of the other kids in the academy. Although she always has a bright smile on her face, she still isn't one hundred percent over the death of Korin, her adoptive mother. She wants to be an ANBU partially so she can find the ones who killed her. This is a secret dream of hers, and it's heavily influenced by Matatabi's thirst for blood and revenge. Cats are vengeful creatures, and one can hope that such a sweet girl wouldn't succumb to such a dark desire for revenge. Subaku hates repeating the past, and though she does want revenge, she doesn't know whether or not she has the courage to carry it out - she really just wants to know the reason why.

When Subaku was a baby, she was orphaned. An ANBU agent by the name of Korin Naduko adopted her and raised her as her own. One day, her mom was called away for an important mission, and died. That's when Subaku found out she was adopted. She refused to talk to anyone for weeks on end, but eventually came around enough to go to the ninja academy. Her ultimate dream is to become an Incredibly strong and influential ANBU like her mother, and to not need anyone else's pity anymore. Unfortunately, she didn't really make any friends in the academy.

Attack Style|:.
Subaku's entire strategy is attack quickly and never give up. She sometimes struggles to see retreat as necessary, simply because she is a rather determined Kunoichi. She prefers her ninja sword over kunai because when really nervous, she can sometimes botch her aim. If her sword is knocked and/or taken away from her, she will hold her kunai as knives instead of throwing weapons.
Kekkei Genkai|:.
She has an even rarer Kekkai Tōta called Water Purge (based simply off of the Nature Release: Wind and Water). Her eyes turn a brilliant shade of blue and her pupils turn white. This Kekkai Tōka allows her body to either completely take the form of water, or allow her to breathe under water. Unfortunately when her body can turn into water, her chakra lasts only for about 3-5 minutes, because of how much chakra it uses up. For the breathing under water, that can last for 10-15 minutes depending on how much chakra she has at the current time.

Strengths|:.
She's good in water areas, and has a strong determination to succeed and prove everyone wrong. She also is rather smart when it comes to planning battles. She works excellently with ninja swords. Even though she uses water release style, some fire style jutsu comes to her easily for some reason.
Weaknesses|:.
When her Kekkai Tōka is in use, it uses up a lot of chakra, and when in use she is particularly weak to fire attacks, because they can still burn her in that form.
Subaku is unnaturally clumsy, and trips at the oddest of times (That's where her peers gave her the nickname Baka Baku). She struggles with aim on the off chance that she's nervous-- that's why she prefers swords.

She's a very unemotional person, only occasionally smiling when she's very pleased. There are only few select people with whom she shares her feelings with, which sometimes includes her squad. This being said, certain kunoichi of the leaf has always wanted to play Matchmaker, and Myka is very much so available!
Appearance:
Her previous ANBU uniform minus the mask, and then instead of the white-ish grey vest, she wears the green ninja vest. Myka's face has a lot of harsh edges and strait features, and her hair is a deep navy blue-almost black, and is almost always up in a pony tail that has been neatly chopped, although her bangs are a bit of a mess. Her singular good eye is a deep greenish Emerald, while her Kekkai Genkai eye is white with a singular black ring around a black pupil - that's covered up by an eyepatch. Her Hita-ite headband is black, and it's worn around her neck. She is left handed, so her ninja sword and kunai pouch are on the same side.
Personality:
She doesn't have one if you are not familiar with her. She tends to show the world her unemotional "dog of the military" side, but if you know her, she starts to open up. She is normally very stoic, and doesn't speak unless to us entirely necessary. Sometimes, she throws the occasional sarcastic comment, but only around people who are really close. Myka is definitely a person who doesn't trust easily.
History:
She was put into an orphanage the day after she was born. She grew up slightly under the Minamoto family's (a non-ninja bearing wealthy clan) watchful eye, and she became a strong shinobi, gaining the rank of jonin at a pretty young age (15). She had a Kekkai Genkai placed in her eye before she went to the orphanage, and no one knows why or how it is there. She quickly moved from Jōnin to ANBU, but by direct orders of the Hokage, she was asked to take on ninja students from the academy, and she reluctantly (although she wouldn't show her disappointment) agreed. So far, she has passed only one of the three groups that she has been assigned to.

Myka is a calm and patient ninja - often observing he situation first hand before carefully devising a plan to combat enemies and do it as swiftly and silently as possible. As a former ANBU, and having been one of the youngest in the current Core, she is incredibly talented for her age, and often times thinks as though she were about ten years her own senior.
Kekkei Genkai:

What it does--enhances her abilities and allows her to see without both of her eyes. She can sense people's movements through the earth. She only used it in times where she absolutely needs to be better than her opponent.
Signature Moves:
Not one for showing off, Myka doesn't particularly have any signature moves, except for the fact that she uses a lot of earth and wood techniques.
Her nickname was given to her though, because she uses the chakra in her palms to mold and form new weapons out of steel. Say, you give her a toaster and she could make a sword, and she can change Kunai into multiple senbon needles - that sort of thing. This takes up a lot of chakra, despite the rumors that seem to spread about her being impossibly full of endurance.
Strengths:
She has a very tactical mind, and tends to think before she leaps. She has expert precision, despite being blind in one eye. With her implanted Kekkai Genkai, she can 'see' with both eyes
Weaknesses:
She has an issue with pride, because she thinks everyone expects her to be amazing, so she pushes herself.
Because of the above issue, she sometimes feels that using her Kekkai Genkai is cheating, and doesn't use it in situations where it might be necessary.
She doesn't talk with people like normal people do, so she's very anti-social. This means that people avoid her because they find her intimidating. Which she kind of is.

A little bit on the shorter side, Zuko can often been seen wearing black, long, ninja pants and a gray, half sleeve shirt. His biceps and upper forarms are often wrapped, and he wears gray ninja saddles (his ankles are wrapped too. His dark navy blue hita-ite is either tied around his neck or his left thigh. His right leg has a kunai pouch fastened over it, and he hides scrolls in his large shirt. His dark blue hair - almost black - is semi-short and spiky, but smooth to the touch, and his eyes match his hair color.

Zuko is incredibly lazy for his age - it appears that particular trait is hereditary. He's often known as the 'lazy boy' and he often doesn't feel like he needs to try at most things because he's incredibly smart. His iq has never really been clocked, but he has the working brain of an ANBU agent almost twice his age. He's just too lazy to apply it. He's still very loyal youth, and he will protect his fiends and his squad even if he thinks it'll be a bore. His grades are awful, but that's because he thinks any form of school is a waste of time.

Nothing too much to mention - his parents are divorced - his dad being of the Nara clan and his mother of no distinct origin. They both love him, they just don't live together anymore. He doesn't care anyways.

Zuko would much rather hang back and observe a battle, taking control of the situation when necessary. He's more of strategist than a fighter, but he does have a pretty good fighting ability, especially when it comes to using his special ninjutsus. He has a ahort chakra supply so he relies on quickness and staying far away
