Our story picks up almost exactly where the original anime starts— thirteen years after the end of the Third Shinobi War. The survivors of the eight year conflict have had adequate time to settle in this new, no longer war-shaped Konohagakure, though for some the trauma of the conflict has set scars that follow them even into peace time.

Though their parents certainly weren’t so lucky, this new generation of budding shinobi our story will be following have grown up knowing little of what war entails. Little, besides the stories their parents may or may not have whispered, maybe even the idle chatter of civilians on Konoha’s streets of the most prominent heroes to live through the fighting.

These children have known nothing but peace, of resource abundance and only civil disputes. Shielded as they are though, they have still been raised with the same steady conviction as their parents before them— to pick up the gauntlet and prepare for trouble. War could always be around the corner, after all.

Roleplay Rules
Post should be regular. In order to keep the story advancing, members are encouraged to post once every four-days. If you feel you will be unable to meet your requirements, please do let everyone know in advance. Failure to post in a two-week period is grounds for removal.

Write in 3rd person & follow proper grammar conventions. Please do not write in first person. Additionally, all posts should, to the best of your ability, should follow grammar rules for ease of access for your fellow rpers.

No one-liners. While this roleplay will *not* require multiple paragraphs per post, it is still necessary to keep your post lengths within reason. Do not post simply to post, try to contribute to the story in some way. Give your fellow rpers something to work with.

Don't control other players' characters. You should not be describing how someone else's character acts or thinks. This includes killing someone else's character.

Combat is a discussion. It's important for all participants in a combat scene to discuss what they want. Talking about who should win and how difficult the fight should be helps avoid getting in a loop of endless dodging and tanking.

No canon characters or relations to them. In this universe, Naruto and co. does not exist. Our genin are filling the gap that the main characters did in the initial story. While you still do have access to every clan, do not make your character have a relation to people that, again, for all intents and purposes do not exist.

appearance: Towering over most in the Leaf at 6"0, Koda cuts an intimidating figure in mosts eyes. His sharp features and often downturned lips only accentuate this. His hair is a shock of dark copper that tends to get redder with continued sun exposure, eyes a light hazel normally a bit sunken-in from lack of sleep. Koda has a tendency to wear dark clothes, turtlenecks particularly, and anything long-sleeved and fitted when off the field. He also has a tendency for thinking himself far more fashionable than he actually is.

personality:
Koda isn't actually 'lazy' per se, though he certainly does enjoy making that small facet of his personality a larger than life aspect. He's actually quite driven, easily motivated by either his loyalties or his own well-hammered resolve. He is the type to be relentless in his pursuit of 'getting the job done' though he tends to forget about himself in the process. Deeply sensitive and empathetic, where Koda might not exactly be in touch with his own emotions he is in touch with those of others. He's just kind of awkward about it, struggling to provide the correct words where necessary, show that he cares audibly. His actions are where his affections shine the brightest.
history

pt. 1 -- Birth

Koda’s mother was a shinobi of Kumogakure, and was one of the few left on the front-lines shortly after the Second Shinobi World War was declared over. Being so close to the front had given her no shortage of action but it also left her and her team weeks out from messengers who might’ve communicated news of the surrender. As a result, Koda’s mother, her comrades, and a number of Leaf shinobi would fight a battle for ground for an additional three-weeks.

It was a sleepless, evenly matched battle in which neither side would give an inch. The only bit of ‘give’ came when Koda’s mother-- previously holding off two Leaf shinobi on her own --suddenly fled, taking refuge in the nearby bushes. Though unaware why one of Kumo’s kuniochi had left the fighting, Konoha forces led by head-jounin Taro Tsueno nonetheless pressed their advantage. And thanks to this, the battle finally came to an end with two-losses on the Leaf’s side and all five-shinobi on Kumo’s.

Once they discovered a newborn was the reason for the Kumo shinobi’s sudden shift in demeanor, the remaining Leaf shinobi were unsure one what to do. Should they attempt to hail a Kumo squadron and return the baby while knowing his mother’s still-warm corpse was their doing? Kill it to spare it a worst fate? It was Taro who ultimately made the decision to pull back to Konoha rather than continue to press their advantage. They would leave the child’s fate to a superior. Only once they’d arrived back home did they discover the war had already come to its conclusion. And left with no choice but to deal with what he felt were the consequences of his decision, Taro would end up raising the boy.

pt. 2 -- Childhood

Having little knowledge on children and how to go about raising them, Taro early made the decision to treat Koda as an adult in most respects. So he kept very little from the boy growing up, least of all of his unclear parentage. Though Taro told Koda of this with the very best of intentions in mind, knowing early on that his mother had been one of the enemies looked at with so much hatred in the Leaf seeded in Koda early a deep dislike for Kumogakure and himself in some ways by extension. He never told anyone of his heritage, fled all reminders to it at all cost throughout his early adolescence.

Though Koda was too young to have directly seen the war that had cost his mother her life he still grew up quite accustomed to the traumas of it via his father and close wartime crew. Though around his friends Taro put on a strong enough front, at home his shattered mental state was difficult for Koda to ignore. He grew quite accustomed to the man’s chronic nightmares, his paranoia and the depression that would walk hand in hand with him always. Though he loved his father, Koda felt at times more like a care-taker than a son. And so it was almost a relief for him and Taro both when the Third Shinobi World War came to a sudden start. Though Taro tried to be properly mournful about leaving his son behind, it was hard to disguise his eagerness for the distraction of war, for the constant movement and blood-shed his mind had become far too accustomed.

Though his father had early on stressed that he wanted Koda nowhere near the life of a shinobi, that choice Koda always felt was his and his alone to make in the end. And though nervous of war, of the adverse effects it had on one’s psyche and the world, Koda admired his father and the other shinobi he’d been raised around far too much to do what he saw as the cowardly thing– nothing at all. So when war-time inevitably lowered the official academy enlistment age to five (an unprecedented and highly disputed decision) he sprung at the chance to join.

His time at the academy was a blur for Koda, who obsessively threw himself into his lessons with the hopes of joining his father as quickly as possible. He made little friends during this time, though there was an academy teacher who he forged something resembling a friendship with. And upon his graduation three years later, it was this teacher who was one of the few to express their concern for the boy. Was he sure he wanted to go any farther than this?-- the teacher pulled him aside to ask one day --There was nothing wrong with putting off graduating a couple of years. Did he know what war entailed?

Though he didn't think it then, instead only feeling a strange urge to lash out at this teacher who was attempting to baby him in his eyes, the answer Koda gave was full of naïveté. Of course he knew what he was getting into. His father was involved in it, he'd heard first-hand from him. Only a coward would run from their duty. Hide behind a class of students just to keep themselves from the conflict. And this answer accomplished what it needed too in the end-- his teacher, hurt by his comments retracted her concern. And Koda found himself on his first squadron, preparing for war.

pt. 3 -- Wartime

Koda's first squad out of the academy was under the leadership of Shouma Senju, son of the Leaf's infamous 'Searing Steel'. Shouma felt he lived in his father's shadow, craved the recognition that came with an accomplishment that would rival the man's. Finding the moment, the right place for that was difficult though. And being assigned a team of snot-nosed brats rather than a posting in the war-zone made his dreams feel that much more unattainable.

The team got moved to active-duty relatively and were assigned a simple enough sounding beginning mission-- communications transport between different camps. While they found battle rarely in those beginning days apart from a couple of close calls, it was still a high stress situation for Koda and his two teammates who grew used to constantly being on the run, never really stopping. But their squad leader didn't see it that way, boring quickly of the "monotony" of their task. So when opportunity for difference came, he flung himself head first at it with no concern for his team of inexperienced genin.

In the chaos that ensued, Koda and his squad-mates got to witness firsthand the brutality shinobi-- the single most powerful beings in this world in Koda's eyes then --could accomplish without morals to hold them back. It was a slaughter Koda and his one remaining team-mate barely made it out of with their lives. And Koda’s team-leader wasn’t so lucky, being left in a coma he’s suspended in even to this day. This event set in Koda the deepest of resentments for the ego of shinobi, for his own powerlessness in that moment of time.

Though his teammate and him were given the option of returning to the Leaf following this traumatic experience, Koda alone refused. He wanted to be with his father's camp, no matter the dangers such a posting incurred. And the higher-ups obliged.

When war-time finally came to and end Koda was fourteen, and a good deal harder, colder than he'd been just years previously. And now he finally understood firsthand the psychological scars his father and so many other shinobi carried.

combat style/focus: Koda is a close-combat, nintaijutsu fighter who imbues his fists or (on some rare occasions) a blade with storm release or lightning chakra for greater effect.

Notable Jutsu
Storm Release: Thunder Tentacles -- user circulates storm-based chakra throughout their body, before pushing it out to form a protective, blob-like monster about themselves of equal mix lightning and water. Clear to the eye and not easily penetrated, any weapons or human-limbs that attempt to enter are either dulled or electrocuted respectively, upon contact. User can send forth tendrils of varying sizes ('tentacles' as one frightened shinobi called it) out to interact with the environment. These tentacles are sticky, per the water chakra, and not easily severed. Though they'll typically have a numbing effect upon contact, Koda will use the tentacles more offensively by sending pulses of extra lightning down the ropes to literally 'fry' opponents in contact.

Storm Release: Thunder Ropes -- derived from the above 'Thunder Tentacles', these 'ropes' are the less chakra-heavy alternative to their parent. Imbued with storm release (lightning and water) based chakra for frequently lethal effect, these ropes have the same qualities as the tentacles used in their parent technique. Koda will use them offensively, or simply to immobilize enemies (/particularly annoying genin under his charge), imbuing the ropes with enough water to give body and stick and the barest amounts of lightning to numb.

Lightning Release: Static Shield -- defensive ninjutsu; user circulates lightning based chakra throughout their body before pulsing it out defensively, damaging those in contact or close proximity of them. Only for individual use; allies in close contact would take damage too.

Genjutsu: Copper Color -- yes, Koda totally expels extra chakra to ensure all of his lightning based techniques are coated a warm copper color akin to his hair. Worth it in his eyes.

Naoki is a young, lean individual with pale skin and striking silver hair. Like most of their clansmen, they share the classic Hatake traits, with sleepy grey-black eyes and teeth that are on the fang-y side. They wear a short-sleeved kimono decked out in Hatake colours over mesh armour and hakama pants, with standard shinobi sandals.

Levelheaded, if a little withdrawn, Naoki tends to hold themselves at arm's length around their classmates and teammates. Ever since they arrived in the Leaf, they've always known that they would be called home someday, and to make it easier on them when that day comes, they've simply decided to not get attached. (Which they're failing miserable at, honest. Naoki is easily endeared -- though they try not to show it.)

Hatakes are known for their loyalty and Naoki is no different; when they care about someone, they're practically handing that person their entire heart and soul. Naoki holds their precious people close, putting their livelihood over their own to a self-sacrificing extent. Family is the most important thing in their life, and they miss theirs desperately; longing to return to a home they can barely remember. Despite their creed to keep their distance, Naoki has one exception: helping classmates out with their training. (And receiving help in return.) After all, helping out a comrade with their studies doesn't make them close, right? Right. They wish to grow as strong as they can, in order to be of most use to their family when they finally return.
Born in Kurikami, a Hatake village in the Land of Iron, Naoki spent their first few years in relative peace. Little did they know, tensions were brewing under the surface, and the haven that they had called home wouldn't be safe for much longer. Naoki's mother, Hatake Kiari, disagreed greatly with the way her Clan Head's ran the show, sticking to outdated traditions and isolationist tendencies, and attempted to overthrow her. This would kickstart a bloody coup, which claimed the life of Naoki's older brother, Ori. Fearing for Naoki's safety, Kiari and their father, Ryuchi, bundled Naoki up and sent them to the Leaf to stay with their estranged Uncle Kumo and his husband. They were six years old.

Naoki never expected to stay within Konoha as long as they have. Initially told they would only be staying for a few months, those months have slowly crept into years. Their Uncle Kumo homeschooled them for the first year, before signing them up for the Academy when it was clear their stay had been extended. To this day the bitter civil war in Kurikami continues to rage. Every month, Naoki's family send them a letter to let them know they're okay and still alive. Their biggest desire to to become strong enough to return to the Land of Iron and put an end to the civil war once and for all.

Hari is a large, dusty-brown she-wolf with golden eyes, capable of joining Naoki in combat. She is an intelligent creature capable of speaking the common tongue, alongside walking on water. Though young, she is still growing and can currently carry one Genin-sized person on her back.

Lightning Release: Redirection | rank - D
Within a small range, Naoki redirects any natural lightning or electric techniques of a similar level and absorbs it into their sword, gathering the pent-up energy before releasing all it in one fell swoop at their position by stabbing the ground. This causes a shockwave to release at their location, blowing anyone other than Naoki back and zapping them with electricity. However, this can also backfire on them -- if they absorb too much lightning within a short time but don't have a chance to release it, the jutsu will overload and stun them instead. In their current state, it takes 4-5 D-Rank jutsu in order to cause a shockwave or 2-3 C-Rank jutsu. Any jutsu more powerful than that will cause an overloaded explosion.

CHILDHOOD
Akane idolized her mother from a young age and would follow her everywhere, even sneaking into her office when she wasn't allowed a few times. Due to this, Akane was exposed to war talk quite frequently and even witnessed her mother breaking down in tears in private. She was aware of the toll of war in a way many children were spared, due to the war being fought outside of the Land of Fire's borders. Akane's bright disposition was worn down by this, and she developed into a rather somber child.

WAR TIME
Akane's rigorous training allowed her to move through the academy classes quickly, until she graduated at age 10. She was immediately placed on a squadron and sent out to the field. Akane's team primarily handle reconnaissance and supply shipments. Although they didn't see front line action, they did face many dangers. They often had to move through hostile territory, and even occasionally within enemy borders. During a reconnaissance mission, Akane's squadron discovered a company of soldiers preparing to attack one of Konohagakure's camps. There was not time to warn their allies before the attack without something to delay the enemy. Akane was crucial in this delay, utilizing her clans adamantine sealing chains to create a barrier capable to preventing the enemy from breaching the camp. This feat earned her the rank of chunin and a reputation that persists to this day, at the cost of some severe chakra exhaustion that left her hospitalized for several months.

AFTER THE WAR
The war left Akane with a great deal of trauma. In the aftermath of the armistice, she struggled to accept that the war was over. She often took missions to patrol the borders, paranoid of an attack. Her position as the Hokage's daughter and a war hero put an end to this, when Akane was designated as a diplomat. She was sent primarily to Iwagakure, in a a show of good will and respect. Her time as a diplomat, helped her accept that it was a time of peace. She began working through the trauma, and that bright personality began to reawaken.

PRESENT DAY
Akane has taken a break from her diplomatic work to act as a genin squad leader. She chose to switch career paths to watch over her young cousin, who she requested be placed on her team. Akane is very protective of her squad and hesitant to take on combat missions with them. She feels 12 year olds should not be endangering their lives. She often speaks openly against the use of young genin in battle and is pushing for restrictions against it.

Akane has always idolized her mother as the pinnacle of womanhood, strength, and compassion. Her mother had always accepted her, even helping her transition once Akane made her gender clear. Shoko is a very calm and collected person, never one for showing much emotion. She is very hardworking, despite being deemed a prodigy, there have been times where she has burnt herself out. She is one for always accomplishing her goal, going to any length to get a mission done. She never spent time around people her age, so she isn’t very socially aware, making her very socially awkward, never getting jokes or pranks, always being the person to kill the mood, but she does try her best in social situations, usually with the help of the people around her who know more than she does.

Shoko was born into the Uchiha clan and a family of shinobi, so it was pretty much destiny that she would become one. But what people didn’t expect was her to be deemed the Uchiha clan prodigy. Ever since she could walk and pick up a kunai, Akui, her father trained her. He wanted her to be the best, a war legend, a feared shinobi, basically like him. There were mostly two reasons for this, one his remaining PTSD from the war, since he fought in the front lines. And two, because of the title she held as a prodigy. Training almost daily, Shoko knows her way around the different weapons and hand-signs that shinobi used. And her father’s training was pretty harsh, not giving her much of a chance to do anything else, unless her mother said so. Her mother was the only person her father would ever kneel to. But it was quite harsh because during a sparring session, Akui slashed at Shoko’s left eye, resulting in the scar she has today. Although her being young, she got into the academy and was on par with the rest of her class.

However when a new clan head took over and the news got out that their two eldest sons were killed during a mission, their youngest son had started to hang around Shoko. In the end they because friends of sorts, he was Shoko's first ever friend. She taught him shinobi skills while he took her out to play or just go do normal things children would do, letting Shoko experience so many new things that she never got to. But this all started because her father wanted her to become the right hand to the future clan head.

Lightning Release: Electric Pulses - This jutsu creates an electric shock that continuously pulses, growing in strength the longer her opponent is attached/in contact with the metal of a weapon or metal of any kind.

Body Flicker Technique - A ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination.

Lightning Release: Electron Technique - After the hand seals are completed, a crackling, sparking sphere of yellow electricity appears in the user's hands. The user can than toss this forward, where it will hit the target and electrocute them. Being a lightning Jutsu, it is quite powerful for its rank. However, it swerves as it flies through the air, making it difficult to aim and making it more likely to miss the farther the user is from the target. It is a very basic Jutsu.

Yuna is pale, the kind of pale that's more likely to burn than tan no matter the heat. Her face is cat-like, narrow eyes a disconcerting shade of yellow usually hidden behind the shades common to those of her clan. Though dark tinted glasses are typically the only tint-color worn by Aburame clan members, Yuna tends to go against tradition in a way her parents will only half-heartedly scold her on. She'll go for mismatchen yellow lenses, red, blue some days, to match her shoulder-length, wavy hair. And cares little for the inevitable stares she'll get as a result. Yuna's small at 5"3 though most her height is dispensed in her legs. So at least from a distance, she has the allusion of looking tall, one only helped along by just how skinny the girl is. One can hardly tell this though from underneath the hooded-coat she'll often wear. Said garment, most commonly seen amongst those of her clan, is a deep navy-blue and touches just above her knees.
traits: bit of a know-it-all, brave, insensitive, go-getter, judgmental, confident, blunt, straight-forward, logical, stubborn, a bit self-involved, independent, condescending, out-of-the-box thinker, not conflict-adverse if you get my drift.., contradictory.

personality: Yuna is pretty confident, rarely needing assurances in her abilities and not tending to to beat herself up too hard over failures. She has the utmost of trusts in herself 'getting' it at the end of the day and isn't easily disheartened by failure. She tends towards optimism in this way, only really applying pessimisms in situations to be humorous. This is likely a side-effect of the Aburame's nurturing home-life. In large part because of her background though, Yuna has a tendency to be a bit self-absorbed. While not self-absorbed in the shallow, mean girl way, she can tend to put herself and her interests first. She often has to be reminded of the importance of the collective rather than simply herself. So, it is likely that being a team-player will likely be difficult for her in the beginning.
history: Yuna was born just a year following the Third Shinobi World War's conclusion. A much cherished child in her family's eyes, and the last of the three cousins born of the Aburame main branches brothers, Yuna was spoiled from a young age. This was owing in part to her birthright as the clan's heiress but also because she was the only female of the three youngest cousins.

It was normal for her growing up to get her way in most affairs, her uncles often conceding to her every word, her grandparents softening even at the mere mention of her name. The one matter Yuna had no say on was becoming a shinobi, as her father was, her uncles and aunts. But Yuna never really dreamed of doing so. Her duty towards the village-- and loyalty above all else to it --had been hard-coded into the girl young. And the presence of her koichu hives, installed so long ago they felt just as much part of her as a limb did, only further solidified this for the Yuna.

Though academy enlistment certainly was the end goal, her parents were in no rush to put her in early. They felt strongly that their daughter should have the childhood they'd been deprived, and so were lax on talk of shinobi work or even early training. While initially Yuna hardly noticed this as she was more concerned with running wild with her cousins, as she grew older and academy-enlistment begin to take her best playmates this changed. Initially it was the loneliness that pushed her towards interest in her parens work, but once she'd joined the academy class it morphed into a competitive streak.

Rie can be described as someone with little words, but with a lot of emotions running in her heart. Extremely passionate about her goal of becoming a ninja, as vague as that is right now, she uses every ounce of her feelings into her responsibilities, believing this dream of hers fully. As for her results and ability, Rie's calmness is almost shocking as she can remain focused in a lot of worrying moments, and her resourcefulness is worthy of recognition, able to quickly find solutions at times, though her perfectionism brings to her unnecessary turmoil, both before, during and after. Her social life finds itself unattended to for plenty of reasons, busy being loyal to her objective, being more timid to others, and having a general disconnect with other due to her stoic nature and harboring a hidden stubborn mindset despite her usually respectful attitude, she has had almost no proper friendships, making Rie feel a little lonely sometimes.

Backstory
Born in Konohagakure from a mysterious mother who was a ninja who defected from Kirigakure and a medic-nin father from the Leaf, Rie was always under the constant chemistry between them, her mother would spoil Rie and tell her tales of ninja born from the Land of Water while her father would admonish both of them yet again as he guided Rie through a more sensible path. Due to this, she learned of many things at her age that many wouldn't until years later, though Rie herself never felt like it was an issue, even if she did get ostracized at school for it, she didn't seem to fully care or understand, as her dreams of becoming a ninja formed at a young age.

Both of her parents started to train Rie a little early, at her 5th birthday, though it was framed as a present for her, seeing as she was always looking forward for her mother's next tale of ninjas and having a clear wish of becoming one, Rie does have a light intuition that it could be something else, but still, she gladly started to train. And thus, when Rie's time on the academy arrived, she did have a bit of a prodigy status, due to her home tutoring, something Rie learned during her studies was of the Will of Fire and of the Tree, the idea of each villager having their own function to keep the will alive enamoured Rie, who was always alone, and thus, her dream takes a more solid vision, though it remains vague.

As for now, Rie continues to strive forward towards her uncertain future, her mother always supporting her with a mischievous smile next to her worried father who will always be there for her, both of them having her back. Rie's path to the future might be uncertain, but it's traversed on with a steady rhythm.

Strengths
Rie is an incredibly skilled ninja for her age, having started to train for it since early in her childhood, she has a lot more technique in play on her abilities. Rie's speed is easily her best asset, she knows of her limber body and her flexibility and she uses it to the best of her knowledge. Her intelligence and ninjutsu follow closely, having trained since a young age, Rie's tactical thinking and her chakra control have been developed well. While able to hold her own well in close-quarters, Rie has found that she works best under stealth and ambush.
Weaknesses
Rie's Achilles heel is her lack of physical strength, she relies on speed and other tools to properly cause damage, as well as stealth to get her an upper hand, as her punch does not pack a lot of bite. Her chakra pool is also below average, while her control can be impressive to some, Rie needs to be mindful of her remaining energy. Rie also doesn't have any proper way of fighting long-distance battles, except for ninja tools.

Kazunori needs to choose between following all that he has known or venture into the unknown for a better answer, for him, someone who is constantly anxious of the unknown but who truly is ambitious for something better, it's a hard question to answer. To take his mind off, Kazunori's outgoing self likes to go out and try to just have some fun, always liking a good night out, of course, some don't like his snarky sense of humor, his brash insensitivity or his selfish way of being, but he tries his best to be charming and entertaining. Some people can be surprised as to how flippant he can be, changing his persona completely towards certain people, his responsible side born from his upbringing showing.

Backstory
Kazunori's childhood was filled with doctrines and learnings that he had to learn and forget at the same time, born to a set of shrine families within the Land of Rivers, his particular family was revolting alongside others in the middle of his birth, Kazunori's mother and father were on opposite sides of the scuffle, both arguing over something he could never properly understand or discover as Kazunori was far too busy constantly changing his thoughts to the wish of each of his parents, having to learn a lot of things on his own. Given the state of revolt, Kazunori was very neglected during his childhood, having to keep learning about religion and to keep meditating, and thus, in a desperate attempt at attention, he began acting out of order, pranking his elders and having a bad temper, all to be noticed under an already troubling time.

Soon enough, news reached him that the revolting families would be effectively kicked out of the sect, they'd need to find a new home. Kazunori's heart fell into deep guilt as one of the reasons stated for their expulsion was the sheer lack of respect from his family, and as hard as he cried, his father never blamed him, as hard as he said sorry, his father kept only pointing the finger at himself. As they left to seek new land, Kazunori's guilt increased day-to-day, feeling sorry for his single father, who never raised his voice at him over it, the child would resort to returning to his religious worship, always meditating as they traveled, even forging a more fluid understanding with his chakra, all for spiritual forgiveness.

Eventually, after his journey took plenty of years through cliffs, deserts and forests, they would find home at an old rundown shack at the outskirts of Konohagakure, slowly but surely settling in as his father found a place with proper education for Kazunori, a ninja academy, while out there for him, it was an easy way for his son to get acquainted with the village and it didn't require too many payments. And now, Kazunori finds himself stuck with a choice, part of him is terrified of change and wants to return to his homeland, all that happened after leaving was deep suffering and uncertainty for him, and the other part of him wants to find forgiveness in a new life, as he remains in the path of a ninja. To find even some respite, Kazunori likes to return to his old self and pretend nothing has ever happened, something that he also is afraid of doing due to the trauma of reliving his past, but alas, he hopes to the gods above that he can finally find happiness.

Description
An unique style where certain objects (named Kyōkun) can be freely controlled through a receptor (named Hōi-jishin), having their own chakra reserves that are intrinsically connected to the user. It's history is unclear, but allegedly, it's a variation of Chakra Threads developed by a religious authority, passed down to many shrine family bloodlines. Reportedly, the Kyōkun need to be created in mind for chakra and introduced since birth to properly connect the user to them, though the possibility of a Dōtokuteki being developed through adulthood hasn't been hypothesized. The user can effectively set a Kyōkun to a jutsu, having it activate through it at the user's will without the need of hand sign, being able to save chakra and time with the cost of prior preparation. Certain Kyōkun can be remade by the user, though it tends to differ from the object, it's a process that usually takes days. The Hōi-jishin is another object that is essentially the Kyōkun's conductor, requiring the user to have it held and focused on its chakra to use the Kyōkun.

Kazunori's Dōtokuteki consists of a set of 6 talismans inscribed with prayers as a Kyōkun and a Shakujō for his Hōi-jishin, when utilizing it, his Kyōkun surround Kazunori in a circular formation.

His Shakujō also gives him a weapon to fight with, though he has to be careful to not break it.

Strengths
Kazunori shines in long-distance combat, having incredible range and power thanks to his moveset. His higher attunement with his chakra lends Kazunori's ninjutsu a good amount of strength, as well as an above average chakra pool. While not as intelligent for actual battles, Kazunori's experience in traveling can be useful in more environmental tactics.
Weaknesses
Kazunori is barely capable of pulling up a fight in close-quarters, any advantage over him in such a fight can spell defeat. He needs to be mindful of his Kyōkun and his Hōi-jishin, if either are fully broken, Kazunori's main fighting style is effectively shattered, as he relies on it to bypass his lacking knowledge on hand seals. Any weakness of the Dōtokuteki also applies for Kazunori, like surprise attacks, exhausted Kyōkun and a limited Ninjutsu pool.

Akiko is well-known around the village for her friendly and cheerful personality. She's made it her mission to spread a little bit of joy each and everyday, whether that be by having friendly conversation, giving someone a gift, or helping with some work. She has a tendency to bottle up the emotions that might cause problems for others, keeping up a smile and cheery attitude no matter the situation.

Akiko refuses to get angry, even when she has every right to be furious. The most she expresses is sadness when she's been wronged, feeling bad that things happened the way they did. When it gets to be too much, she will break down in sobs, usually over her inability to prevent someone else's suffering.
Akiko was just a baby when the Third Shinobi World War claimed the lives of her parents. Her teenage brother, Masao, took custody of her in the aftermath, giving up his career to become an academy teacher so he could safely support Akiko. He often relied on his family for help looking after Akiko, especially her aunt, Umiko, and cousin, Akane. The family adores Akiko and absolutely dotes on her, and she loves them in turn, dreaming of becoming a great ninja like all of them. They've tried to gently steer her away from the path of a ninja, seeing how gentle-hearted she is, but Akiko is determined to follow in their footsteps.

Akiko struggled greatly in the academy, much to the surprise and disbelief of her teachers. She was the Hokage's niece and related to so many war heroes, yet she couldn't control her own chakra and struggled to learn basic strategies. She refused to give up though, and with the help of her family and some additional tutors, she learned to turn her artistic pranks into a combat style, while slowly mastering the fundamentals of chakra control. She was late graduating, but she's finally succeeded in becoming a genin and has started down the road to becoming a ninja.
Big brother / Guardian, Masao Uzumaki
Masao has always been there for Akiko, devoting every moment he could spare for her. He always found time to cook with her and make crafts together, encouraging her to pursue her creative interests. It's thanks to his support and encouragement that Akiko is so comfortable being herself.

combat style: Akiko's signature techniques all revolve around traps and pranks. She tends to do best when she can prep an area for the target to enter, but when she can't prep she'll rely on weighted chains for binding opponents, as well as various bombs made to disable those struck by them.

Akiko has terrible chakra control, which played a huge factor in her graduating late despite having such skilled family members to teach her. Although she would never admit it, it's a source of frustration for her that she lacks the signature Uzumaki skill with sealing techniques.

Hisako wears a armless turtleneck and the common ninja pants and shoes. Sometimes he throws over a dark grey jacket. Around his neck he wears his headband.

Hisako doesn‘t mind saying out his thoughts even if they seem harsh. He is a helpful person but doesn‘t like to be told how nice he is or he will immidiatly tell you otherwise and starts to pout. He gets flustered easily and isn‘t a fan of compliments. He just doesn‘t know how to respond to them. He gets confident in things he knows and that include fighting or cooking. It‘s were he feels the most confortable. He isn‘t really a people person and has a hard time holding a conversation. While Hisako is more on the sideline in conversations or group of people if he gets involved in the talk he sometimes can come off as a bit too proud. This narcisstic side of him often comes out if he is involved in things he is good at and he will be adamant that he is the best in this. While he does trust his teammates and friends he will often suggest solutions were he is the sole person involved just becauce he thinks he can do it best. He needs a good talk and smack on his head, While he will pout about his solution not really accepted he will accept his teamates words and trust them that things will work out with them involved.
Hisako was born to a smaller family of the Uchiha Clan a year after the third Shinobi War. He is the youngest sibling and had two older brothers. With most of his family members being Shinobi he developed the dream of becoming one himself. Since he was young he had always been together with his father and learned alot from him. After the death of the head of the Clan his father, as being a relative to a former head, had been promoted to become the new Clan leader. Hisako himself didn’t feel much pressure at the time as his siblings were supposed to be taking over. With this he wasn’t able to have a lot of time with either his siblings or his father and would hang around his mother often, taking up the hobby of cooking from her when helping out in the house

His dream of becoming a Shinobi had been supported by his whole family and he had received not only training from his father or brother from an early age.

It was a day after Hisako was accepted into the academy when the news about the death of both his brothers reached the family. His father became stricter and was almost taking him out of the academy but with now being the new heir of the Clan he couldn’t do it as it wouldn’t be accepted by the Clan. His father showed his conflict often when being strict to his son and setting high expectations towards him only in the interest of having him not die on a mission like his brothers did. His mother on the other hand started to completely ignore him, not being able to look at her youngest son. At that time he also started to become friends with his cousin, Shoko. Over the time he started to be around her alot getting teached the things she learned. In exchange he dragged her around to either play with him some games as children do, showing her that there are other things besides training. Over the years they developed a deep friendship.

Hisako slowly losing the former good contact to his parents was seemingly saved when his uncle swooped in and started to take over the father role. Being nice as his father was and teaching him instead of telling him to be careful with a stern look. Through his Uncle Hisako also learned to use a Kunai connected to a steel wire, his future favorite weapon. So his new people of trust became his Uncle and Shoko while his parents started to slowly turn away from him.
Father, Goro Uchiha
a strained relationship. While his father still loves him it's visible how he and Hisako grow apart. It does make Hisako sad that his father distances himself from him but he doesn't give up and always trys to build up their relationship like it used to be.

Mother, Yui Uchiha
In the beginning they had a good and healthy relationship but with the death of his two brothers she became distant and didn't want to look at him out of fear she will only be reminded of her other sons or that she will be as sad as she is now when hisako should die.

Maiko is a confident girl that knows where her strenghts and weaknesses lay, at least thats what she believes in. She doesn't know that sometimes her harsh behaviour can come off as mean and that she is hurting someones feelings. She tends to be dramatic and put on a show if she wants, besides she loves to break the rules and be different. While being a rulebreaker she does have to be told when it's time to be serious. If that happens she does listen to the person who is in charge and sometimes comes up with a good plan. While she acts liek she doesn't care for anybody she does so and can even tend to be a bit selfless throwing herself in the way of danger to protect someone.
Maiko grew up as a only child and was always very protected by her parents and having every wish fullfilled by them in hopes of seeing her having a good childhood. When she said she wished to go to the academy tho her parents, especially her mother, were concerened. She tried to convince her to stay in the village and work at the flowershop dispite Maiko allergies against the flowers and her haitng to be in there. It was her father that put her into the academy and risking a bad relationship to his dear wife. When her motehr noticed how happy Maikon was after her first day at the Acedemy she couldn't stay angry at her husband, espcially her kid and she accepted it. In her childhood Maiko just had learned a little bit Shinobi knowlegde from her parents, like healing knowlegde form her mother who was a medic-nin or some weapon usage from her father. Unlike other she didn't went into the Acedemy with knowlgde and atarted out a bit fresh.

A very close relationship. Both are a good team and she got her rulebreaking side form him. Together the two are the troublemaker of the Yamanaka Clan.

Shizuka is overall a very polite girl. She greets everyone politely and helps without hesitation. More often than not, you can see her smile softly to herself while she observes the people around her. Sometimes she even hums to herself. If you want to talk, you can always turn to her. She will always listen, even if she can’t help. At first, Shizuka always acts a bit shy but if you give her some time, she will get more confident around somebody. She can be louder, often laughing and making jokes. Shizuka can also get very sarcastic or bitchy. And yes, she likes to prank people. I mean, her skills make it more than possible for her. She also likes to meditate and learn new things.
Shizuka doesn’t talk a lot about her past. She is from a stricter household and got sometimes punished because she didn’t behave the way her mother wanted. It led to her a rather timid personality facade. Her father was very loving and protected her from most of the harm. He trained a lot with her but kept her age in mind. For Shizuka, it was always a game, some silly finger games, and so on. Over the years the family kekkai genkai came and they focused on that.
Her family is a rather small clan with a non-offensive kekkai genkai. They aren’t the wealthiest people but can live a bit above the typical standard.
Mother, Haruna Miyazaki
Haruna is very strict and always looks serious. She never wanted Shizuka as a shinobi but she got the kekkai genkai, so she couldn’t keep her home. In her opinion, her daughter should always be home and taught about how to keep a house clean and her future husband satisfied.

Father, Asuna Miyazaki
Asuna is a very loving and gentle man. He likes to joke around and always bend the rules for one. He protected Shizuka and made sure that his wife did not have too much control over Shizuka. Like Shizuka, he is a shinobi and has the kekkai genkai of the clan.

Grandfather, Tohai Miyazaki
Tohai is the head of the clan but will soon retire and give his position to Asuna. He hasn’t much time to spend with Shizuka but made it always clear that any person in the clan with the kekkai genkai should be shinobis. He was once too a shinobi. kekkei genkai: Basically it is a technique not everyone in the clan can master. With this technique, they learn to hide like a chameleon, just better. If done properly and with many years of practice, they blend in with the surroundings, suppressing their chakra too. This can only be accomplished if the person can manage to blend their chakra with the nature chakra. They can’t use the nature chakra but only sense it and adapt to it. While in hiding, they can still run fast and jump, but can’t do any ninjutsu or genjutsu. With enough care, they can learn to mask their scent and noise too.
Shizuka is not very far from this technique, hence why she meditates a lot. She can blend with her surroundings but you can still see her blurred. On occasion, she loses her control and makes herself unwillingly seen again.

Minoru is the sole inheritor among his siblings of his mother’s pink hair. But where hers is closer to a bubble-gum pink, his is a slightly wavy dark salmon. He typically keeps it at a short, manageable length just above his shoulders. Where his hair is a relatively bright color, his eyes are a dark, pitch-black. They are often shadowed from lack of sleep, his skin reflecting his conditions and the elements quite easily. Minoru’s wardrobe isn’t anything spectacular. He doesn’t yet have a signature look yet, per se, in his mind, but he’s rarely seen without a dark brown, worn and possibly leather jacket atop whatever sweatshirt he’s donned for the day.

Minoru is the type to rarely crack a smile, is the often too serious and uptight kid who respects authority to the fullest and will rarely step out of line. He’s certainly not a tattle-tale (like one blue-haired girl I know…), but he’s also not the type to stick his neck out often for others. He prefers to focus on his family, himself, and any who get in the way of these interests Minoru will take great pains to removing. Stubborn and determined in this sense, once the boy gets it in his mind that he's going to accomplish something very little can stop him. Though his quiet, earnest exterior doesn't suggest at it, Minoru possesses a lot of inner resentment and anger. Though it has yet to boil over on an unsuspecting person, he does have flashes of unexpected anger on occasion. He's quite good at shoving those emotions back in, while also knowing this is quite an unhealthy way to cope. In addition, Minoru holds grudges rather easily, and finds it difficult to forgive others.
history
Minoru’s family doesn’t originally hail from Konohagakure. But following a string of bad investments in the small fishing village from which Minoru was born, the family was run out. In their most desperate time of need, Juro and Kohaku Isobe (Minoru’s father and mother, respectively) found safe haven in Konohagakure.

Free from his debts and safe to start a new life, Juro found success at first. He worked the counter at a small noodle shop, and with time was given managerial duties at a pay high enough to provide for his then family of four (his wife, oldest daughter, a then baby Minoru). The Isobe family flourished, and the twin’s births– Rika and Suzi –were only further testament to the family’s happiness.

As time passed though and stress came with it, Juro fell back into the old habits of his past. He began to frequent illegal gambling dens in the shadiest parts of town. Convinced his frequent losses were just bridging the way for a big, eventual win, over time Juro again squandered what little savings the family had. And so very quickly, the Isobe’s found themselves back at square one– poverty.

By the time Minoru was four, his oldest sister eleven, and the twins barely a year, his father had fled town yet again. A distraught Kohaku never fully recovered from her husband’s desertion, from the stress of debtors at her door at all odd hours. Her grief took her far from home, far from even her own young children.

Fearing asking for help would only end in the siblings being separated and placed in Konohagakure’s problematic orphanage, Minoru’s eldest sister took on the mantle of parent. She acted as Minoru’s mother for a good chunk of his life, taking on the odd jobs needed to keep the family afloat and working towards paying off their father’s substantial debts. It must've been exhausting and thankless, but the older girl rarely complained. So it was a surprise when one day, even she disappeared. And the job of looking after what was left of the Isobe family fell on Minoru’s shoulders.

Putting aside thoughts of what he saw as his sister's abandonment of them, Minoru followed in her footsteps in becoming the family's sole provider. He took on a couple of jobs sweeping floors, cleaning tables, doing whatever he could to keep the family afloat. His later attending of Konohagakure’s ninja academy was another of the logical choices Minoru had taken to making. While the school did drain a good deal of hours that could've been going towards money-making, in his eyes that lost time was a worthy investment. If he could just get past the exams, become a genin, he was guaranteed an amount of money that would only grow with his experience.

Juro Isobe (father) - Minoru only vaguely remembers his father. He far from romanticizes what memories do remain though, recalling even the happiest of moments through only the darkest of lenses. He’s positive like that.
Kohaku Isobe (mother) - Minoru still sees his mother on the occasions she does make an appearance at the Isobe’s flat. And the years have not been good to her.
Chiyo Isobe (oldest sister, would be 20) - Minoru loves her, misses her, and most adamantly hates her. It’s best not to get into the topic of his oldest with him.
Rika Isobe (younger sister, 9) - the oldest of the twins. Naturally quiet and a bit shy, though quite precocious when she does get comfortable enough for talking. An avid reader and a bit of a know-it-all even at nine-years-old.
Suzi Isobe (younger sister, 9) - the youngest of the twins, though she does tend towards acting as if she’s the oldest. Tends to be a bit mean-spirited at times, though admonishments are usually enough to coax a half-hearted apology from her lips.

For instance, he can harden his fists and other parts of his body to a certain degree, sharpen his nails, etc. While his not being clan-born means he doesn't have a great deal of chakra to feed from, what chakra he does have Minoru has enviable, even for his age, control over.

Ashi is that cool mom all the kids in the neighborhood feel comfortable around. She has a way of putting people at ease and making them feel safe. She's always willing to listen and will never judge. Even if you were to come to her to reveal some crime you committed, she might call you an idiot first, but in the end she's gonna talk it out with you and determine why you did what you did so you don't repeat it.
Ashi had a long career as shinobi, mostly handling tracking missions. As she got older she began to specialize in search and rescue, often being dispatched to locate lost civilians during disasters. Once she hit her forties she decided it was time to slow down, turning to instructor work. She's taught two genin squads since the shift, all members of which have gone on to become successful chunin and jonins.

Ashi is a family woman first and foremost, but she didn't get married until her thirties, having her first child soon after. She would have waited longer, if her husband, Tosa, hadn't declared he would retire from fieldwork to raise their children. It was a surprise for everyone except Ashi when the stoic man became a house-husband. Still, Ashi took plenty time off during her pregnancies and the time after. Between their savings and support from their families, the couple was plenty capable of handling the loss in income, and time with the children was much more important. The only reason Ashi didn't take a long-term break while the children were growing was because she cared too much for her work.

Tosa and Ashi seem like an odd pair at first. He's rather gruff and unfriendly, while she's outgoing and a caretaker. Tosa's rather soft with his family though, especially Ashi, who he is incredibly affectionate with.

Ashi often relies on her heightened sense of smell during combat, utilizing techniques to obscure her opponents vision. Due to being so reliant on close-range techniques, Ashi does have a disadvantage with long-range combat and will avoid it whenever possible.

A synchronized attack where Ashi and her ninken perform the Passing Fang, rotating their bodies to deliver a series of rapid body blows to a target. In order to coordinate their attacks and leave no opportunity for the target to defend, Ashi and her ninken synchronize with each other as much as they can: breathing in unison; using the Four Legs Technique; using the Beast Human Clone. As the users cross back and forth for this attack, the surrounding area is damaged as well, crushing rocks and shaving sections off the ground.

Ashi performs a Combination Transformation with one or more of her ninken, taking on the form of a massive wolf with the number of heads equal to number of participants. It is rare for Ashi to perform this technique with all three for the Shiba Trio. The form allows for significantly more powerful attacks, as well as jutsus, than the team is normally capable of. It is best used when the opponent is cornered as it can be difficult to coordinate attacks.

Ashi currently has a team of 3 shiba inu partners, trained specifically for search and rescue. Their names are Kan'i (female, red), Ryōsei (male, black and tan), and Soboku (male, sesame) and they are the fourth generation of ninken partners Ashi has had. They are going on a decade old now.

Ashi's first ninken partner, Jōmon, passed away while she was in her 20s, due to old age. Her second generation ninken was Chūbu, who died in battle while Ashi was in her thirties. The third generation of ninken were a trio named Shinshu, Mino, and San'in, who retired a few years after Ashi switched to training genin. All of Ashi's ninken are decedents of her first partner, Jōmon. Her children's ninken are descended from either her or her husband's ninken.

Hifumi bears the stereotypical traits of a Hyūga, with brown hair kept long, pale purple eyes, and fair skin. She keeps her hair tied back in a high ponytail and her bangs cut short and blunt, to ensure it stays out of her face. She dresses in simple clothing in shades of purple, always seen with her short-sleeved hoodie. Hifumi has no interest in appearances, only care to be comfortable and able to move freely. Still, she doesn't actually care what she wears, just throwing on whatever her family provides, as long as it's simple and comfortable.

She saw no happiness in the expectations they had for her, and so she chose to walk her own path in life, even if everyone around her was against it.

Despite all this, she does want to make her family proud. Not by being the perfect Hyūga princess, but by showing them her strength and value as who she genuinely is.

Haruna is a stern mother who expects Hifumi to train endlessly to succeed as clan leader. As a result, the pair are often in opposition, as Hifumi simply wants to enjoy her life the way she's comfortable living, regardless of expectations.

Hiroto may not be as stern as Haruna, but he's just as demanding of Hifumi. Rather than confront her though, he prefers to direct her through more passive aggressive means, such as leaving "proper" attire for her laid out in her room, piling texts upon her bed relating to clan traditions and politics, and otherwise invading her space with reminders of what's expected of her.

Hifumi and Hideki have a bit of a tense relationship. Hifumi loves her brother, but he's completely faithful to the clan traditions and constantly pressures Hifumi to follow them as well.

As a Hyūga, she is capable of expelling chakra from every chakra point in her body, which can be utilized in both attacking as well as for defense. Although she is competent with the Hyūga Gentle Fist style, she lacks the Byakugan vision required to target chakra points in her opponents, limiting her use of it. Being a close-range combatant, Hifumi struggles against long-distance opponents and can only defend against such attacks until she can close the distance.

Hanami has also a strong nose and sharp ears and eyes. She can get quickly overwhelmed if there is too much going on. Because of that she is not the loudest person but if angered, Hanami can get quiet explosive. Hanami is a very emotiom driven person, focusing on her feelings and instincts. She doesn't see herself as the pack leader of her team.
history: Hanami had a good history. She grew up in a loud clan with many animals and people. She tends to try to spend some alone time, especially from the younger ones. Her family always knew that she was unlike the other children, since no of the ninken had any interest in her. Instead one of the lone wolfes in the forest of Konoha stumbled upon her, immediately bonding with her.
