The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment
I'm going to be running my game in a region with a celtic feel to it. One of my weaknesses as an ST is coming up with random NPC names on the spot, so I made this spreadhseet. I took 100 male and 100 female names from a book of Iirish, Scottish and Welsh names.

I tried to stick to less familiar names, (so you'll find no Seans or Caitlins), and I spelled everything phonetically, rather than traditionally.

As usual, when I make such game aids for myself, I like to share them in case others might find them useful.

I pick up Baby Name books on a fairly regular basis.  The last one I got was Baby Names Around the World by Bruce Lansky--from MJF Books, and available for around $5 at the bargin bin at Barnes and Noble. 50,000 names, both by culture and their popularity within it.

Great resource, and cheap as hell.

A long time ago, Dragon #72 published a set of tables for generating Old English names from phonemes, complete with their meaning. I managed to get permission from both Dragon and the author of the list to translate these into a list for Omnihedron and publish them to the net.

My Exalted page also has some other Omnihedron lists for generating more standard Exalted type names.
