My Liege, My King, My Salvation

Deadkool

A Sad Remnant of a Forgotten Time
Now, many of you rpg players are probably quite familiar with the "An evil, gloomy government is opressing the people, go save them, blah blah blah" now, what if you were the oppressors. King Galloran has tasked you with venturing into an uncharted continent, and clearing way for his army. Democracies will be toppled, Homes will be burned, Your king will have his prize.

For Ebera!

What system would this be using? I could see myself playing some kind of Anti-Paladin from Pathfinder, for example.

I was thinking 3.5, but I'm open to suggestions. In addition I've been experimenting with a tweaked version of the SPECIAL system.

I don't have the PDFs for DnD, but I do have them for Pathfinder. I know that system fairly well (not well enough to run it, but I'm good as a player) and I would like to give this a go.

Great, I'm thinking 2-3 more people. Personally I've been leaning on the SPECIAL system, but I'll look into Pathfinder.

I'd be interested in this if we were to do Pathfinder. I so rarely get the chance to play a classic Evil Wizard.

Would this be starting off at 1st level, or are you thinking of having us with experienced characters?

If we're supposed to be enforcers of an evil tyrant, I'd propose we start off at around level 5-8, it gives us a bit of power to back up our claims of "obey or suffer"

That'd be cool. Any special rules on Race, or how you want Stats rolled up?

I was thinking a dice roll system for stats, and for race, all the standard dnd races, plus a few homebrews I'm fond of. Also, if you'd like to use a homebrew, just ask.

Okay so, you've got your gods

Tricksters, the elite guard of Malice himself. If one is spotted on the mortal plane, the world is in great danger.

Warborn:

Resilient humanoid warriors. The Warborn do not grow tired, and can eat nearly anything from dirt, to timber, to bone. The Warborn live a minuscule two years.

Very similar to humans, but on their necks is a seed. This seed may be planted if it's host is dead, within six months, the Amar Kabal will be good as new.

Those who worship Santoran may be brought from the dead as a reawaken. The reawaken are personal minions to Santoran, and have the strength of two warriors.

Kahsund: The Kahsund, or tree people are humanoid, and green skinned. Their bodies are surrounded in razor sharp thorns.

Any questions?

Would it be possible to use moderately high point buy? I find rolling to be too unreliable.

EDIT: actually, for giggles, do you mind if I just port over my Wizard from Ixidor92's game and play a Lawful Evil version of him?

Well.. Okay..I'll modify the CS. You can bring over the stats, but roll for everything else.

Edited my post, you can bring over stats, but roll for your other stuff.

Also, this is my first time making fantasy races. thoughts, suggestions?

-scratches chin- changing it now. I'm a really horrible D&D planner, I promise I'm not as horrible as a DM.

What do yo mean roll for my other stuff? You mean my hit points?

EDIT: Without stats it's hard to judge your home-brew races, although personally I can't not play humans, lol.

Well, there goes the rolling system, I'm running on purely caffeine and adrenaline right now, sorry for my incompetence. Also, have a race in mind?

I'm thinking of either a elf or a human. Just need to make up my mind.

...what is the difference between a Wizardborn and a human who just learns Wizardry? I'd like to play a human wizard, if at all possible.

Well, human wizards are worse at wizardry than Wizardborn. Wizardborn look identical to humans.
