Everybody's gone, either dead or close too it. With the law at their heels, Dutch Van Der Linde (along with Micah Bell) headed for the hills in the opposite direction of Tahiti - once again seeking another place untainted by the modernization of the west and the unfairness that comes along with it. Along the way, with some smooth talking and promises, a few new troublemakers decided to join the cause. What are you willing to do for your new family?

Red Dead Redemption 2 - somewhere between the end of the game and the end of the epilogue. Dutch at it again with the crazy dreams and expectations of others. I would ideally love it if somebody could play the good ol' boy himself - but otherwise I can just throw him in with my characters/character. I know it's been over a year since this game came out, but I can't get it out of my head! If you're interested, please post below!

If you wish, you may choose to play multiple characters. Please just make sure to include 2 character sheets in your character post. If they are in the same scene/interaction together, you can write them together in one post. Otherwise please separate between the POVs within your post that is easy for us to understand.
For example:
Jane
Jane sat down by the river eating a tuna sandwich. She was only a few bites in when she realized she never really liked tuna to begin with. In fact, she had only acquired the sandwich because she found it sitting on the ground. Sometimes it pays not to do crystal meth.
Jack
Jack walked out of the house and his eyes were drawn towards movement in the trees. Out popped a dog. In an instance Jack knew his sole mission in life was to pet the random woods dog. He took of running and tripped over a rock and broke his nose.

Currently searching for Tahiti: (roles and who plays them will be posted here)

Rules:
- Please be kind to one another.
- OOC after a post in parenthesis ((like so)) and otherwise posted in the OOC thread. If lots of people like the idea, we can move to discord for OOC.
- Quality posts of 2-3 paragraphs.
- No Mary Sue or Gary Stu type characters. No time for that in the wild west!
- No god modding.
- Please be active, or let the group know when you are not going to be. If you're no longer interested in the story, kindly let us know!
- Some minor romance is okay.
- If you're not sure of something - ask!
- All characters must be approved by me before posting in main thread.

Name/any nicknames: Lana Nilson
Age/birthday: 25/ April 14
Height: 5'5"
Body type: Agile and solid
Ethnicity: Swedish-American
Family/relationships: Lukas and Alana Nilson-Parents/Alive
Job title/former job title: Former bar maid, current smuggler and enforcer
Background/how they came to be in the gang: Lana was born to Civil War Union veterans, Lukas and Alana Nilson. Strong believers in equality, the Nilsons raised their only child to be independent and to not take anything lying down. She was raised to be a fighter in every sense of the word. Of course, this behavior would lead Lana into trouble from time to time, though nothing truly criminal aside from maybe one too many bar fights. She steadily gained a reputation as a fighter in her hometown which eventually earned her the attention of Dutch and co when they passed through and she was offered a place among them. Always hungry for adventure and tired of staying in one place, Lana happily accepted.
Extras: Has a sweet tooth, can easily hold her liquor against just about anyone, first response to conflict is almost always to punch, weapon of choice is a pair of brass knuckles that belonged to her dad
Personality: To put it bluntly, Lana is stubborn. She doesn't like to take 'no' for an answer and doesn't like being told she's wrong, even if she knows she is. She also doesn't like to conform to society, especially when that society told her that her only job was to marry and have kids. She gets frustrated when men don't take her seriously, especially in this line of work. It's for this reason that she's built up a reputation in the 'underworld' of someone not to mess with.

CHARACTER SHEET:
Name/any nicknames: Nayaht "Red Stag"
Age/birthday: 20/June 8th
Height: 5'9"
Body type: Lithe and toned
Ethnicity: Wapiti Native
Family/relationships: Aati(Mother/Deceased), Pateya(Father/Deceased)
Job title/former job title: Formerly a Wapiti brave, currently an outlaw
Background/how they came to be in the gang: Nayaht grew up in the Wapiti tribe native to New Hanover and the Heartlands. As he grew Hayaht was subject to the encroaching of white settlers moving West. They traded and lived beside the Wapiti as it suited them. But, soon they found themselves being pushed from their lands and persecuted by the new white majority. Nayaht grew up pursuing the traditional lifestyle of his people. Hunting and surviving in the American frontier allowed Nayaht to become skilled with the bow and arrow and later the rifles that settlers traded to his people. Nayaht soon found his people being confronted by soldiers of the United States. The tribe was forced into a series of reservations and government enforced camps.

Nayaht and the tribe grew resentful and young men like Hayaht sought ways to undermine their oppressors. When Dutch van der Linde recruited Wapiti braves to his gang, Nayaht joined hoping to give his people a fighting chance in the new world. When the tribe fled in exile, Nayaht remained behind determined to exact revenge for the friends and culture he had lost.
Extras: Nayaht prefers the bow and arrow over a rifle but, will not hesitate to use what the situation calls for. When in the city, Nayaht dresses in western fashion but, prefers more traditional clothing.

Background/how they came to be in the gang:
Serena's story starts with a scared, pregnant 15-year-old girl escaping from Mexico. A young girl by the name of Isabella fleeing from everything she knew, leaving her friends and family behind, forced by fear. She was taken in shortly after giving birth to Serena, by a rich family who never really respected her, but they wanted the free labor. They clothed them both, made sure they were taken care of, so long as Isabella did everything the family wanted. Isabella and Serena were in that house for four years before her mother suddenly packed them up and they fled.

She didn't like living on the road, the nights we're cold, she went hungry, but the soon found themselves in a small town where her mother got a job as one of the few things she could being a single mother. Isabella began working in a brothel. It was here that Serena gained a lot of the knowledge she has now. Some of the men, the kinder ones, took a shine to her. They told her stories, bought her stuff, made sure she was taken care of. A few even became regulars simply because she once stole a gun, and shot the hat off of some guy.

They taught her how to shoot, Serena got plenty of practice stitching up wounds and such for them, it was a good life. And the other girls were kind too. They made sure she could take care of herself there in the brothel. Knowing how to use knives, how valuable information could save her life. And once again, more practice with stitches and medicine. When Isabella passed away, Serena was 15. For 6 years, Serena did the same thing her mother did in order to survive until the day Dutch van der Linde paid a visit. A large fight broke out, Serena grabbing a gun to help force the bandits out of the house, she had almost entirely headshots. Dutch seemed impressed, and since she had always wanted a way out, Serena accepted his offer to join him and his crew.
Extras:
- She likes spicy foods but has a major sweet tooth
-Absolutely hates Micha
- Serena will drink you under the table and will accept any challenge to do so
- She has no problem getting dirty, but she still loves her dresses and all the girly stuff she did before the joining gang
Media:
Idk if this works as a theme but it's a good song

Job title: She's a jack of all trades. Or so she thinks.
Extras: TBD.
[/div][/div][/div] [div class="tabsContent tabsContentPersona" style="display: none;"][div class=TextBox][div class=Text]Personality:Beatrice is known to keep mostly to herself, unless somebody feels the need to interrupt her or call her out on something. If that's the case, you had better step off or you'll be hearing it for days. She has a temper stronger than a fire and often get's mad at others for things that aren't in their control. While being opinionated in this case, she does have her moments where she isn't as rough around the edges.
When it really comes down to it, she would do anything for those who are important to her; those she has grown close with the most.
Likes: Peace and quiet, clear liquor
Dislikes: Things she is too short to reach.

[/div][/div][/div] [div class="tabsContent tabsContentBackground" style="display: none;"][div class=TextBox][div class=Text]Background: Beatrice was orphaned at the age of ten after her father passed away. Due to mental illness, their mother was no longer able to take care of them. She was placed in an orphanage with her brother for a short while, but they were separated when Beatrice was sent to preform the duties of a housemaid. Her first couple of positions didn't last her very well, as she had a habit of talking back to those who serviced her employers. She jumped from job to job in the service industry. She worked for in everything from a plantation house to a hotel. Sometimes she got in trouble for stealing small pieces of jewelry. It was only fair in trade for the hard work she was doing.
In her last position she was caught red handed trying to snag a pocket watch a man had left out on a table. That man had been Dutch Van Der Linde; instead of turning her in, he was amused by her ranting about how she was 'only trying to look at it.' The rest is pretty much history.
Dutch taught her to shoot a revolver, though she really has no interest in guns; she has assisted in small bank robberies. She watched her group of three grow larger nearly overnight. Dutch had quite a way of making people listen to him, and his ideals of what was right and wrong really appealed to people.

_ (47).jpeg
Name: Dutch Van Der Linde
Aliases: Archibald Smith, Hoagy Macintosh, Featherstone Chambers, Aiden O'Malley
Height: 5'10"
Body type: Stocky, Well Built
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Job title/former job title: Leader of the Van Der Linde gang
Background:
Dutch was born in 1855 to an unnamed Dutch father and an English woman called Greta. Little is known about his younger days. His father fought for the Union in the American Civil War and died in a battle (heavily implied to be the Battle of Gettysburg). Because of his father's death, Dutch seems to have developed a grudge against Southerners. Dutch also mentions that he left his home when he was 15 years old because he rarely got along with his mother, who died in 1881 and was buried in Blackwater, although Dutch only found out several years later from an uncle of his.

He valued freedom and liberties above all else and dreamed of living an independent existence. To attain these desires, Dutch began to resort to a life of crime. In the early days of his criminal life, Dutch had an "odd" partnership with Colm O'Driscoll, a fellow infamous outlaw and the leader of his own gang. At some point, Dutch met and befriended Hosea Matthews, a con artist who tried to rob Dutch who likewise tried to do to do the same to Hosea. Dutch and Hosea decided to partner up and later formed their own gang. Notable members that joined the gang at various times include Arthur Morgan, Micah Bell, John Marston, Abigail Marston, Bill Williamson, and Javier Escuella. At some point later, Dutch and Colm became bitter enemies after Dutch killed Colm's brother and Colm killed Dutch's lover Annabelle in retaliation, sparking a long blood feud between both gangs.

At this time, Dutch was an altruistic and idealistic rogue, believing the gang could make a difference in the world. He fashioned himself into something of a Robin Hood-like figure, taking money from the rich and wealthy who had plenty of it, and giving it to the poor and destitute who needed it. He saw himself as a symbol of the Wild West in its romanticized form, and a humanitarian champion of the people, opposing government control, supporting individual liberty and punishing general human cruelty and selfishness. His romantic image and charisma inspired his gang to believe in his anarchistic vision of a "Savage Utopia", and it was in the name of Dutch and his cause that they committed many violent crimes such as murder and robbery. By 1899, Dutch was reluctantly starting to realize that the way of life he held so dear was quickly becoming an unrealistic proposition and that the days of the Wild West were coming to an end.

Name: Rosco "Rocky" Raccoon
Height: 6'0"
Body type: Thin/Toned
Ethnicity: Italian
Job title/former job title: Bounty Hunter
Background: Rocky was born as Rosco Di Sabatini to Alfredo and Theresa Di Sabatini, a moderately well off Italian immigrant from Calibria, leaving his father's successful farm to strike it big in America. From the plains of New Austin, he, his father, and his mother lived on a farm where Rosco learned all about working the soil and how to tend and sell crops, as well as how to speak, read and write Italian a from his father, while him mother taught him fluency in English.

However, such happy times were not meant to last, as when Rosco had turned 13 years old, he encountered the man who would change his life completely. One day whilst harvesting tomatoes and other various crops, he came across three men who were currently on the run from the law: Arthur Morgan, Hosea Matthews and Dutch Van Der Linde. Asking the boy if he knew any shelter, he politely answered with a yes, and led him to the barn and house he and his family lived in. Being sure to keep the outlaws a secret, only delivering food to them when his parents were asleep. Soon, the three had left under cover of nightfall as soon as the heat had died down from whatever recent crime they had perpetrated. But only three months later, the three could come back with malice in their hearts and evil in their eyes.

Having been told hide and stay hidden after his father had heard a noise from outside, the three bandits came back with masks and guns, robbing the farm that had once harboured them. Although Dutch had a silver tongue and had tried to keep the husband and wife calm, Alfredo's temper got the better of him, leading to him getting shot twice by one of the men, his wife following soon after. As the three men bickered over whether or not they should have killed these two people, little did they know that their victim's son had seen everything unfold from inside the cupboard under the sink, weeping silently as the three looted the house and escaped into the night.

After the brutal murder of his parents, Rosco devoted his life to hunting down their murderers, changing his name and selling the farm to devote himself completely to justice. Years have passed since that painful night, and now the Van Der Linde gang was more wanted than ever, Rocky saw his chance to avenge his family once and for all, no matter what.

Name/any nicknames: Virgil DeSoto
Age/birthday: 30/January 18
Height: 5'9"
Body type: Stocky
Ethnicity: Hispanic
Family/relationships: Miguel and Vanessa DeSoto-Parents/Deceased; Marisol DeSoto-Twin sister/Missing
Job title/former job title: Formerly store clerk, currently outlaw and bookkeeper
Background/how they came to be in the gang: Virgil was born and raised in Chuparosa, Nuevo Paraíso. His parents owned a small trade store near the train station. He and his twin sister, Marisol, started working in the store pretty much from the time they could walk. They grew up speaking English as often as Spanish. When they turned 10, they began traveling into the United States with at least one of their parents to transfer goods or buy supplies for their store. Having always had a good head for numbers, Virgil eventually started doing more and more of the bookkeeping for the store. For a while, things were pretty normal, but then the rebellion started picking up. Chuparosa was controlled by the government, but that didn't mean anyone in the city was safe. The soldiers would often raid stores for supplies, wrecking shelves and supply houses or harassing and assaulting owners. Being near the train station, the DeSoto's store was often a victim of these attacks. Virgil lost track of the number of times he was beaten or had to watch his father get beaten or watch his mother and sister get pushed around by soldiers. Understandably, the DeSoto twins became fed up with the treatment and decided to fight back. Things did not go as they had hoped; understandably, they were not nearly as skilled or as armed as the soldiers. In the ensuing confusion of trying to fight off the soldiers, Miguel and Vanessa were killed and their store was set ablaze and the twins were separated, both dragged off by soldiers. Virgil was beaten to what the soldiers assumed was death and his 'body' was dumped into the San Luis River. He was found on the States' side of the river by Dutch and co who took him in and nursed him back to health, and he's been with them ever since. With the rebellion heating up in Nuevo Paraíso and entrance into the territory no longer possible, Virgil has no idea what happened to his sister and is unable to look for her. He strongly believes she is still alive, however, and he will one day return to his home country to try and find her.
Extras: He walks with a slight limp on his left side and walks with a cane (the kind that hides a sword inside)
Personality: Calm and calculating, it's rare to see Virgil angry. He can be stubborn, particularly when it comes to his disability; if you want to piss him off, then making a dig at his limp is a surefire way to do so. Still, Virgil has learned through hard experience that anger very rarely solves anything and more often worsens a situation.

Name/any nicknames: Prudence Simmons, Prue is preferred
Age/birthday: Twenty-Eight, 3rd of October
Height: 5'9"
Body type: Lithe, but athletic
Ethnicity: British
Family/relationships: Silas (deceased)
Job title/former job title: pickpocket/former member of London gang
Background: Prudence was born and raised in the seedy underbelly of London. Whitechapel area being her home. She never knew her father and her mother was a common prostitute that cared more about drinking rather than her children. She would have Silas when Prudence was seven and pass away due to complications after the childbirth. Leaving Prudence with raising her brother. This lead her to being picking up by Gabriel Townsfield. A man who ran a large and powerful gang in London. Agreeing he would take care of her brother as long as she worked for him. He taught Prudence everything he knew. Knife fighting, using her looks and charm in order to lure people in. How to gain information and use it to his own advantage. She was a groomed weapon, her brothers kept her loyal and fixated to Gabriel and his gang.

However, another rival gang sought to find weaknesses and saw Prudence and her brother as that. While they managed to kidnap Silas, Prudence evaded them. Under the threat of losing her brother, Prudence gave away vital information that would lead to Gabriel and his gang losing their foothold in London. Thinking she would get her brother back, Prudence had found out too late that Silas had been killed shortly after his initial capture. It didn't take long for Gabriel to piece together who betrayed them. Prudence was forced out of London and left to America in order to leave her old life and choices behind.

Under desperation or a poor choice of actions she was picked up by Dutch and the gang. Roughly half a year after coming to America. Choosing to stick with them for her lack of knowledge around the new country she found herself in. She has every plan to leave London in the past where it belongs.
Personality: Prudence is a frightfully stubborn and headstrong woman. She doesn’t take no as an answer that much and she is someone who fights for what she wants. She lives her life as it is in that moment, the past is the past and she wants to keep it that way. She doesn’t talk much about her life in London and its often an irritating subject when people push for her to open up more. Loyalty was nearly programmed into her and she finds it hard to think people can be truly loyal. That includes herself, everyone has a price it is just a matter of finding it. The woman is intelligent and uses that to her advantage, she is charming, and knows how to work people. She is best in a crowd, she is able to be perfectly comfortable in a room full of strangers. A smile on her face, her head high with confidence. Strangers are more relaxing to be among than people that could possibly betray her in the end. She is quick tempered and speaks her mind often, rarely holding back. While she prefers to remain an enigma to people. Traveling alone is lonely and often times she finds herself talking to strangers. Learning the stories of whatever interesting character grabs her attention. Being social is easy. Being honest and open is a struggle that she needs to overcome if she wants to have people watch her back. Her lack of trust in both herself and everyone else makes it hard for her to be open and honest. She keeps everyone an arm’s length away; be it for their protection or her own.
Extras: Her most prized possession is a picture of her and her brother when they were younger and visiting Paris
She searches high and low for halfway decent tea, but has recently given up and started to drink coffee.
Prudence is rather bad at riding horses, shooting guns, and general living in the West. She is very much a city girl.

Regardless, Amadahy raised Carrie to the best of her ability despite disapproval from the elders of the tribe and Carrie lived a happy, if slightly strained life with her people.

Life continued for Carrie until she was eighteen. Her tribe followed the bison in Tall Trees and settled there. One day, while on a hunt, the men found their herd slaughtered in cold blood with only their horns taken. Furious, they came home unknowingly followed by a gang, who then raided their territory. In the chaos, Carrie was seperated from her mother and captured by the gang along with several other women. The last time she saw her mother was from the back of a horse, bounded and unable to escape as Amadahy was forced to flee with the survivors of the raid, and to this day does not know if she is alive.

Carrie was subsequently sold to a man known as Sikes who, and his men, not only illegally kept slaves but also partook in tormenting Carrie by parading her through towns as a 'freak' for quick money, causing her to be publicly feared and abused due to belief that her skin was caused by leprosy or disease. While she was unable to fight back, she rebelled in little ways which while it would result in a beating, got her message across to her captor that she was actively unwilling to simply take it. One day, while on the road, Carrie managed to escape from the stage-coach while trying to release the other slaves. At this point, the convoy was raided by an outlaw gang, killing many of the slave-holders while Carrie fled in the mayhem, only to be caught by Sikes. Before she could be killed herself, Sikes was attacked by two of the outlaws and dragged away. It was then she met Dutch Van Der Linde. With both her thanking him for inadvertently freeing her and him being impressed with her gumption, she agreed them to join them. She does not know what happened to the other slaves but hopes they were able to flee.

Personality:
Carrie is a laconic woman who says little on the daily but will still voice her opinions clearly if in disagreement especially in regards to the treatment of others. She is a stoic induvidual, a necessity for her time in captivity so can be difficult to read unless she is particularly close to people. Despite this aloof wall, Carrie is a true companion to those she deems fit and is more talkative with friends. Those close to her get to experience the more snarky, witty and sharp sides to her personality. Regardless of all of this, Carrie’s kindness knows no bounds, and while trust is hard to be gained from the woman, once it is earned, good luck shaking her off. Carrie is a hard worker and loyal to a fault, but can fold under excessive pressure, and still struggles even after all this time with her newfound freedom with the gang.

Extras:
Has a deep passion for animals and resonates strongest with horses.
Was very close to Charles and hurt by his departure, and Lenny and still misses him dearly.
A very light drinker, it does not take much for her to become very drunk.
Prefers to sleep with a lamp on.
Enjoys Mr. Pearson's wild-game stew and wants to learn how to replicate it.
While a great horse-woman, Carrie is sub-par with firearms so prefers to use melee or a bow and arrow.

Meaning "bear" in Seminole, Nokosi, the mustang, is named as such due to his great build and protective nature. Much like the creature of his namesake, he is calm until provoked so there will be hell to if pay if done so. Regardless, he is a calm animal with a strong bond with Carrie. While strong and fast, his stamina is something left to be desired and he can be ornery; but he is a good horse.

Name: Micah Bell III
Nicknames: Rat, Snake
Age/birthday: 40's
Height: 5'9"
Body type: Has a gut, but in decent enough shape
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Family/relationships: Micah Bell Jr, father (deceased)
Job title/former job title: Second in command of Van der Linde gang
Background/how they came to be in the gang: Micah Bell III was born circa 1860 to Micah Bell Jr., a ruthless petty outlaw. When Micah was 17 in 1877, he and his father were on the run for the brutal double homicide of Roscoe and Jean Briggs, who were hung from the rafters with their throats slit. It can be assumed that he was his father's partner-in-crime throughout his upbringing, although evidence suggests that he also ran with his brother, Amos, for a time. Micah became acquainted with two outlaws named Cleet and Joe at some point, and also mentions being involved in a failed bank robbery down south with Norman.

In 1898, Micah met Dutch van der Linde in a bar at Crenshaw Hill. Dutch tried to sell gold that his gang had recently stolen, but the deal went sour, leading to an altercation where Micah stepped in and saved his life. As a result, Micah was accepted into the Van der Linde gang. Despite being an experienced outlaw who was respected for his skill in combat, Micah was generally disliked within the gang. Arthur and Hosea in particular saw him as argumentative, reckless and hot-headed, with Dutch alone taking a liking to him.[4]

After five months, Micah set his sights on a ferry in Blackwater. Although Arthur and Hosea had their own lead, Dutch chose Micah's option, which was a bigger take but also more risky. Unfortunately, the robbery turned out to be a complete disaster, and a huge gun battle with the Pinkertons ensued. Due to this, the gang was forced to flee, and eventually managed to lose the law by entering a blizzard on the snowy mountains of Ambarino. The failed heist notably caused the deaths of Jenny Kirk, Davey Callander and his brother Mac Callander.
Extras: Enjoys a bit of traitorous dealings with Pinkerton agents, random murder, and causing general chaos.

Body type:
Well toned, but slightly underweight
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Family:
He had a son with a woman in Valentine a long time ago, and use to visit him often, but they moved on a few years ago. He hasn't seen them since. And his parents sadly passed away years ago.
Relationships:
Dutch - Dutch saved his life when he was just a teen. Took him in, gave him a purpose. Desmond looked up to him like he never looked up to anyone. But something changed. After Blackwater, Dutch just keep losing it. Desmond watched as their family fell apart, what they did to Arthur and John. Desmond would have left too, but he didn't have a chance making it with normal folk. Not like the woman or John did. So he stayed, but...his view of Dutch certainly changed. Safety Hammer Safety Hammer
Micah - Desmond has never liked, respected, or trusted the weasel posing as a man named Micah. Especially after it was revealed he was a rat. Desmond has noted his guard down since Dutch didn't kick him out or kill him one. But it's probably for the best, Desmond has a chance to kill him now. ZoneyGirl ZoneyGirl
Job title/former job title:

An enforcer for the Van der Linde gang
Background/how they came to be in the gang:
Desmond was born up in the slopes of Ambarino to a couple down on their luck. They couldn't afford much, and the law was after his father, the snow seemed to be the only safe place left. But it was no place to raise a child. A child they might not have wanted, but pride kept them from getting rid of him. They struggled for the first year of his life up in those mountains until his mother got sick. Real sick. And they moved down and out to drier air of Blackwater. Down there they were better off. His pa got a job, a real job, not some sideshow gig or bounty hunting. But it still wasn't enough. Desmond was five when he first started working to help his parents. They wouldn't let him go and beg, and nobody would use a five-year-old as a farmhand. So he started stealing. Small things at first that nobody would miss, getting bolder the quicker he got. Eventually, he tried fo steal from the wrong man.

He was 13 and had yet to recognize the lawmen from the normal men, and he pickpocketed a Pinkerton. Got caught too, was being dragged away from his family's cart when his mother stepped in. She apologized for him, told the Pinkerton that he was always ill-mannered and didn't know much about how people acted. She offered to make it up to the man, give him some money if he didn't take her little boy away. And the man took her up on that offer, walking away with his mom. She was never really the same after that. About a year later she was gone, his father had started drinking heavily. Desmond kept working in order to feed himself and unfortunately his father's habit, but there was nothing much he could do about that. One night in a drunken stupor, his father went off the rails when Desmond asked about his mom. Old bastard snapped, started being the hell out Desmond. Turns out he killed his wife. Buried her out back in the yard, and nobody missed her enough to go looking.

Desmond a paper that night too. His father lay dead in a pool of blood, his face barely recognizable, Desmond realized what he had done just as a knock came from the door. Dutch playing one of his schemes, he didn't expect to see a bloodied 14-year-old. And Desmond didn't expect to be saved. An hour after getting him cleaned up and packing a bag, Desmond was settled on a horse with a kind man named Hosea. On that night his life changed, for better or worse, he wouldn't know. Their camp wasn't too far from his family home, another younger boy was waiting for them to get back. Arthur Morgan, a man Desmond soon grew to be good friends with. At first, Desmond's duties were just to deal with the horses and help keep track of the food. When they moved from Blackwater and a little closer to Armadillo, his duties changed. And Desmond helped rob a bank. Nothing more than a lookout, but he felt important.

As the years went on, people came and went. But him, Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur were the constants. He got a cool scar when he was about 20, through getting mauled by a bear and damn near killed wasn't an experience he would like to repeat, he looked like a badass now. Despite the being blind in one eye, but hey, now he never had to close an eye when he aimed. Things were going really well, his life as an outlaw was better than his short life as a law-abiding citizen. But then Micah came in and everything started going downhill. He was with Arthur and Hosea when it all went down on that boat. And the rest is history.

Dutch pulled Everton along on his slow descent into madness. Desmond watched as he and Arthur were slowly pushed away, how their family crumbled...but Arthur understood why Desmond had to stick with Dutch. Said so himself...Desmond ended up helping Charles bury Miss Grimshaw and Arthur. Convenient timing and nothing more. But one thing was for certain, the man would never look at Dutch the same again.
Extras:
- Desmond has an absolute soft spot for dogs. In fact, the camp has one because of him
- Is great at fishing and hunting large game, he always seemed to mess up on the small ones so he avoids them
- Loves strawberries and bourbon
- He respects the ladies, but no fedora tipping
- May have the tiniest wee little crush on Carrie ( Rumble Fish Rumble Fish )

Name/any nicknames:

Robert 'Bobby' McGee
Age/birthday:

March 19th / twenty-two

Height:

5'7

Ethnicity:

Caucasian

Family/relationships:

Deceased father, mother's whereabouts unknown. Sister Beatrice's whereabouts are also unknown.

Job title/former job title:

Store clerk, ranch hand, stable boy.

Background/how they came to be in the gang:

Robert and his older sister were abandoned by their mother when they were young after the death of their father when she could no longer take care of them. They stayed in an orphanage for a while before they were separated to do work for different families of higher class. Bobby learned the ways of a stable hand for no pay. When he was old enough, he was offered a wage by his employer but decided to take off instead. He got in trouble with the law a few times for theft and petty crimes. Soon enough he found a job working as a ranch hand. However, that didn't last very long - there was something about working for a living that wasn't sitting well with him, plus it seemed like everyone around him started to have a problem with him playing guitar all night and generally making a ruckus with things like pranks and jokes. Soon enough, he was fired and had trouble finding work for a short time after that. He tried to locate his sister for a brief period of time but was unable to come up with anything on where she was.
With not much left to lose, he set off again. One fine day he stumbled upon land owned by immigrants, the owner agrees to offer him room and board in exchange for a place to sleep and meals. Bobby quickly became friends with Rosco, the owner's son, and the two formed a strong bond over the time Bobby worked for the family. He had no choice but to stick by the boy's side after the slaughter of his parents by the Dutch Van Der Linde Gang.
What he didn't share with Rosco was that during the gang's first hideout at the farm, Dutch had offered Bobby a key to a new life - explaining how he felt the world had been unfair to the boy and how he deserved to be with a group of likeminded people - the promise of a better life that Bobby considered up until his employers were murdered in cold blood. The event didn't stop him from thinking back to the conversation he had with the leader of the gang - did he really owed a better hand than the one that had been dealt to him? Was the government and law enforcement to blame for all his problems?
Nevertheless, he sticks to Rosco - now Rocky - on his quest to find Dutch Van Der Linde years later. The perfect revenge plot in place.

Extras:
Bobby plays guitar pretty well and has a way with horses. He really likes strawberry jam.
