-Follow the site rules
-LGBTQ+ friendly, so no discrimination of any kind will be tolerated
-No godmoding or powerplaying
-Minimum 4 sentences per post
-Must have a discord for the OOC chat. If you don't have one, say so and I can help you set it up. This is important because a lot of talking and plotting will be done over there

-20 students per class, and only 2 of them can have entered through recommendation
-Remember that student quirks will start much weaker than the adult's, but they can grow stronger with time

Characters:
The focus will be on Heroics Class 1-A and character belonging to it. Well then. Here he was. Right in front of the gates of UA highschool, wearing his uniform, with the map he had received in his acceptance letter clutched in his right hand. It felt... surreal, to have gotten in, after seeing the sheer amount of applicants crowding the auditorium back when the physical part of the entrance exam took place.

Rihi had to take a second to compose himself. Breathe in, breathe out. Take it one step at a time. Then, when he was sure his heart wasn't going to beat out his chest, he took another look at the map and memorized the way to the Class 1-A dorms, the building where he'd be living in for the next nine months along with nineteen other classmates. He really, really hoped they all got along. Or, at the very least, that no one hated him. New people always made him anxious and paranoid to a certain degree, and if something went wrong there was no going home and locking himself in his room to avoid drama.

...He could lock himself in his room, thinking about it. But that should be a last resort.

Sighing, he made sure his backpack was staying in place before crouching and picking up a medium-sized rectangle covered by a thin, dark blanket. It weighed enough that he needed both arms to support it, so he grew a third arm from his hip to clutch the handle of his suitcase before heading towards the dorms. Rihi had arrived in the morning, and with classes starting the next day, he had all Sunday to settle in, but he still wanted to set everything up as soon as possible just in case something happened.

Quirks in Musutafu were a dime in a dozen, but the rare few quirks worthy of U.A. Academy is something to take special note of. For one thing, the prestigious highschool boasts the best heroics education in Japan, so Saiko considers herself fortunate for the opportunity. On the day she received her acceptance letter, Saiko promised herself that she will become a pro hero that even her idol, Captain Comet, will admire.

After checking that her uniform was spick and span, the optimistic student lugged her few belongings to the dorm. First impressions between classmates were all to important, so Saiko carries herself as though she without a doubt belongs here. She could tell from the entrance exam which pushed her quirk and skill to the max, that all of the students who passed are all exceptionally talented, but given their future careers Saiko was bound to meet interesting characters among them. The three-armed student caught her eye as she was moving in, and she waves a simple greeting. "Hello there. Are you one of my new classmates from Class 1-A by chance?"

Asuka looked up at the gates that towered over her as she approached the school would have a bit intimidating if her parents had not brought her to the gates of the school after she received her acceptance letter. They had been so happy that she had gotten in to MHA also renowned for being one of the best school in japan for producing high-quality pro hero’s.

The acceptance letter was a huge shocker to her because she was not really expecting to get in with how high their standers were and how tough the entrance exam unless you had recommendations from someone. She looked back over her shoulder as her parents and little brother all gave her huge smiles to show how proud they were of her. With a soft simile she turned back and continued on through the gates with her acceptance letter to find her way to her classroom 1-A.

Asuka took a deep breath to try and calm her frazzled nerves before shoving her hands and letter in to her pockets. The moment her left hand went in she felt something that should not have been there. Closing her had the object she pulled it out to look at it only for her eyes to light up. There in her hand was a protection charm from her parents and a good luck charm from her little brother. Having these charms made her feel so much better, so putting them back in to her pocket she pulled out the map and headed to the classroom.

Rihi didn't expect anyone to talk to him, so when a voice piped up from somewhere to his left, he nearly jumped off his skin. Thank goodness he didn't drop anything or it would have been a complete disaster. "Um, yeah! I'm from, class 1-A," he managed to stumble out at the girl, a classmate judging by her words and uniform. And, well, the fact that they were in the 1-A dorms. Other students wouldn't have many reasons to be here on moving day, unless senior pranks were a thing.

He really wished that wasn't the case.

The girl's skin was a little darker than normal... was she not from Japan? In any case, the confident way she carried herself helped ease his nerves a little, and thought his arms were too full to return her wave, he did at least manage a nod. "I'm, Keibatsu Rihi. Nice to meet you," he greeted.

Toki lightly bit her lip, her gaze rested on the gates of UA Academy. If she was being honest with herself, she wasn’t too shocked that she was here. Or rather, the shock had long passed since she got in through recommendation. Her main concern were the other students of her class. Tokino wasn’t the most social kid as she was more focused on her quirk and training, and she wasn’t quite sure how she would manage at a new school. Worst comes to worst, she’d decided to win herself a social spot in the class based solely on her quirk, a much more familiar topic.

Before she could concentrate too much on her upcoming class, she let her feet carry her towards the UA dorms, her luggage trailing behind her and her lip still worried between her teeth.

"It is nice to meet you as well, Keibatsu. My name is Cruz Saiko." As with her surname Saiko had distinct Hispanic features hinting at her mixed heritage, with long black hair, grey eyes with tinges of green, and fair olive skin. For a teenage girl she was slightly taller than average, and her lean athletic build peeking underneath the school's uniform was fitting for an action hero on a magazine. Saiko holds back a sigh of relief over finding the class dormitory on the first try, and she glances at the other UA students settling in. Perhaps it was a side effect from Saiko's quirk misleading others, because even with the help of a map her own sense of direction was atrocious. "Well, I am going to put all of my belongings down for now, but maybe I will see you in the common room later."

As Shizune walked up to the entrance of the school, she felt a towering prescence. Before she was accepted, the mere thought of U.A. shook her up, so for her to be standing right in front of it...it caused her to be very nervous. The path to become a hero and better the world was looming over her. She started smiling a bit, for she was grateful she was able to go to such a successful school, and that she'd able to make her parents proud.

The butterflies in her stomach grew the more she gazed at the building. "What kind of people will I meet?" "What kind of future is in store for me?" She thought these things to herself. But she couldn't let herself get too distracted. After all, she had a class to get to. So she opened up her map and started walking to the dorms.

Suzuki Toshio
Shuffling through the gates with his cases in tow Toshio looked around with a touch of wonder at being at UA and no small amount of worry that someone would pop out of nowhere and tell him that a villain's son wasn't allowed in. Seeing a few other students about he let go of his cases for a moment to slap his cheeks and check his map then marched off towards his dorm building, trying to keep up a more confident front he looked around as if daring someone to object to his presence though the nervous twitching of his tail gave him away.

Spotting a girl with a slightly gothic look heading the same way Toshio picked up his pace a little to catch up and walk beside her. "Sup?" He greeted her shortly with a sunny smile that had the tips of his feline fangs poking out. "You're a freshman too right? The name's Suzuki, Suzuki Toshio nice to meet ya!" Hopefully he'd be able to make a good first impression on as many people as possible and build a good reputation for a change.

Cruz. Rihi had heard that surname before - not related to Saiko herself, but it was pretty common in Spain. Same as how everyone there knew at least one Miguel. Was she from that country? She definitely looked the part. "Sure, I should, do the same," he said, looking down at the terrarium he was holding. The less time he spent carrying it around, the better. "See ya, then."

That could have gone better. But it could have gone much worse. At least he didn't say anything embarrassing, and Cruz seemed nice, so he was counting that as a win.

He headed towards the boy's half of the building. Thankfully, an elevator was there, which meant he didn't have to carry all his things up several flights of stairs. His room was located on the fifth floor, and after double-checking he got the correct one, he went in and started unpacking. First Pandora, then her food, then Rihi's things. It didn't take that long, and then he had the rest of the day free. He could always stay inside, check the schedule, maybe take a nap. But, he had promised himself he'd try to be less of a social hermit here. Heroes had to interact with a lot of different people to help, and he wouldn't be a very good one if he was left stumbling every three sentences. So, after deactivating his quirk and checking he was presentable, he went downstairs again, still somewhat scared but ready to meet his classmates, eyes seeking out Cruz if only because she was the only one he knew the name of.

Two hours. That's how late Gray woke up that morning—two hours later than he'd planned—and, as a result, his entire schedule had been thrown out of whack. Meaning he wouldn't be finished setting up the 1-A support project storage room before the first years got here like he hoped. Instead, he'd be carrying in boxes right as they were busy carrying in their own luggage and he was going to bump into someone or drop something important that would break or any other infinite variety of things that they were going to hate him for, he was sure of it.

Or, at least, that was the rut of thinking that Gray was attempting to pry himself out of as he brought a frankly way too heavy box of parts to the 1-A dorm. Realistically—he assured himself—it would be fine. They were just boxes; surely he could handle something as simple as bringing some projects from one building to another, right?

Gray realized very quickly that the answer to that question was 'apparently not' when his foot landed on a stray ball bearing on the ground of the support lab and sent him faceplanting into the armful of very sharp work-in-progress support items he was holding.

And—ignoring the obscene amount of swears that spilled out of his mouth—that summed up the entire process that brought him to where he was now. Which is to say carrying that same box of parts through the dorm's common room with a still-bleeding gash across his forehead (the band-aid he'd haphazardly stuck on it was too short to do much good) that he was beginning to worry would drip blood in his eyes judging by the ominous wetness on his eyebrow.

Needless to say, Gray was not having a good day.

~~~
Pip was having no such problem. In fact, if you'd asked him how he was feeling, he would've told you that this was the best day in his life—though, you could probably guess that from the grin on his face.
He travelled light, with most of his belongings in a green messenger bag slung around his shoulder and only a crumpled up bedroll in his arms (mattresses didn't tend to last that long with him anyways). Spike trotted cheerfully alongside him with one of his favorite toys—a bright blue ball covered in little rubber nubs—in his mouth. His tail wagged at a mile a minute in sharp contrast with Pip's, whose tail trailed motionlessly behind him, held just high enough so that it didn't brush against the ground.
His spikes folded neatly down as they approached the gates of UA—best to prevent any accidental stabbings, after all—and he took a single moment to stare up at the sign with an aching glee in his chest before following Spike onto the campus of his dreams.
A small boy stood just within the gates of UA. Behind him sat two over-stuffed cases of luggage, deposited there with the help of his oldest brother before Lan insisted the other " fuck right off for the next nine months or so ". As was traditional for the Chikara household.
Lan couldn't in good consciousness say that he was too surprised by the sheer size of UA. It was the top school for heroics in the nation after all; what expense couldn't they afford to spare?
The fact that his expectations were barely met didn't make finding his way around much easier however.
The place was swamped with teenagers of varying size and shape. Mutation type quirks that gave extra limbs and hulking figures not too difficult to spot in the crowd; Lan could have sworn at least three of the fuckers were taller than two of him stacked on top of each other.
His already sour frown deepened. No, he didn't hate tall people; obviously, but he would no doubt like for them to get the fuck down here with the rest of the height-peasantry. Perhaps a swift kick in the shins would do the trick.
But no, now was not the time for violence ( surprisingly ) , now was the time for him to get to his dorm. He could practically feel the wrinkles being pressed into all of his clothes in their bags- they would take so long to iron out again...
Lan brought the campus map closer to his face, and squinted as though it would do any good.
Why the hell was it so difficult to read anyways? All blurry and-oh.
He had forgotten his glasses again.
With a frustrated sigh, the boy felt through the pockets of his uniform until he picked out the simple pair of circular frames. Frames which were promptly dropped and shattered as some dickhead pushed past Lan as though UA was the airport from which the love of his life was about to depart.
" Watch where you're going ya hallmark mother fucker! " Lan snapped, but it was already too late , dickhead had disappeared without so much as an " oh sorry 'bout that " and Lan's glasses sat on the ground; crunched by hallmark dickhead's foot. He picked them up, only because he was not the type of ass to leave trash on the ground.
" ..Fucking fine then," the boy muttered to himself. So he couldn't read the map, ok. He could still read the signs scattered about just fine; he'd just have to wander around until he found wherever they decided to put the dorms and hope they were labeled.
Lan reached behind himself to grab the handles of the preciously mentioned over-filled cases. It was fine , he was fine. He wasn't even that pissed, he told himself.
Lan took a step forward, and the cases; despite their wheels, did not roll.
"..."
He yanked on the handles with all the muscle and body weight he could put behind the action. One rolled just a couple of inches.
Obviously, this was Tai's fault for making them look so light when he carried them.
Shoko would walk onto the grounds of UA, nervous and excited. She looked at the map that was given to her with her acceptance letter. From a first glance, UA looked so cool. But she could admire the buildings later, right now, she had to get to the dorm rooms. She took her two suitcases and headed off to the dorms.
After some time, she found the dorms, she looked around and say other students there around her age, so she just assumed they would be her classmates. Shoko looked for her assigned room number and once she found it was slightly impressed. The room was pretty spacious and had all the basic furniture she needed. After seeing this, she was thankful her mother pestered her not to pack her entire room. She set the suitcases on the bed and started to unpack. She wanted to get everything situated before classes started so after about an hour or two, she finally got everything unpacked and where it should be. Shoko then decided to look around the campus but it was slightly hard to get out of the dorms since it was so busy.
As she walked down the school hallways making mental notes of the path she took so that she would not get lost when she went back to her parents and sibling after she finished checking out her classroom. She had also asked her parent to help get hang the wall paper while she checked out the classroom.
After a few minutes of following the map she eventually came to the classroom 1-A. taking the handle she slid the door open she stepped in to the classroom for the first time and looked around. Asuka could easily see that that this place was meant to help those quirks, because of the books on the back wall of the classroom and the one sitting on the teachers desk. She could almost guaranteed the school library had to be massive with information. Looking up to the clock on the wall she realized that she spent twenty locating and exploring the classroom. Turning around she walked back out the classroom to go find her dorm room.
Ten minutes later finds her self in a crowded hall with other students trying to get moved in to their dorm rooms. Looking down at her map she began to weave in and out of the students with their supplies until she finally found the room she would be living in until further notice. Walking in she saw that her parents had brought in almost all of her stuff from the car minus a few boxes. She new the wall paper she had picked out for her sitting area and room would help minimize the noise of her budgies when they got excited so they would not annoy her neighbors and she would also have to set up her snakes terrarium as well. She was lucky all her pets were placed in her room until she could finish setting up.
Hi grumbled to themself, stepping onto the campus of UA with little fanfare or gawking. They'd be spending the next three years here, after all. There was really no point. The grandeur would wear off just as quick as it came, so wasting the energy was highly illogical.
Granted, what was also illogical was the hour they spent ironing their uniform in a proper manner, but they felt that energy went into something the least bit constructive... annoying Cora. Even the memory of his offense brought a self-satisfied smile to their face as they slunk quietly between people, golden eyes flicking between their possible new classmates and their quirks in what almost appeared to be saccades.
With their hands tucked into their pockets, double—triple—quadruple—checking that they had their extra tie on them, they made a sharp right turn to start towards the dorms, light footsteps carrying them with little sound and little notice. They weren't notable, after all, their hair wasn't any special color; black with red highlights in the light. Nothing stood out about their face, and anything strange about their arms was unnoticeable with the glorified concealer they were given. Average bag, average uniform, average face, average hair. Their only real defining feature was the feminine traits in a male uniform.
Hi navigated easily and quietly through the crowded space of UA, having "bought" a map off of a Gen Ed student and spent most of the previous night memorizing it. Granted, maps were never the same as the real thing, but they managed fine with the use of landmarks. With a few minutes off their estimation to spare, they reset the clock on their phone, and pushed through the doors of the dorm. Common room. Dorm hallways. Stairs. Kitchenette.
Like a hotel, they mused, shortening their gait and slowing their steps.
Other students swirled around them in a busy, disorganized clutter of bodies, prompting the slightest whisper of an irate hiss. Too loud.
Too close.
Suoh Hi hunched their shoulders and tightened their grip on the spare tie curled around their hands.
The common room had filled fast. There were students moving around with their things, some talking, some resting. He could see at least two individuals with tails, one with what looked like a scorpion sting and one with a dog trailing after him that did not look like any kind of dog breed Rihi had seen before. Part of his quirk, most likely.
He stepped out of the way to the boy's dorms, in case anyone was heading that way with cargo, and peeked into the kitchen area. It looked pretty normal, with the usual oven, microwave, fridge, etc. He hadn't seen a min-fridge in his room - did that meant students would have to share space here? The fridge was definitely big enough for 20 people to store snacks in. Mental note: get labels for his stuff. He couldn't fathom why someone would want to steal canned snails, but they were hard to find and Rihi didn't want to trouble his parents too much when sending him food for Pandora.
Sighing, he told himself to stop loitering in the kitchen and do something. Introduce himself. These were going to be his classmates for the next three years, after all. The nervousness had him active his quirk, growing a layer of dead skin around his fingers that he could pick at, like peeling off a reptile's shed. Soothed by the familiar motions, he took a breath and made the decision to go talk to the first person that didn't look busy.
Said person ended up being a girl with white hair and wings, feathers trailing down behind her. She wasn't carrying anything and didn't seem to be heading anywhere in particular, so Rihi cautiously approached her and tried a friendly wave. "Um, hi!" he greeted with a nervous smile, telling himself to fricking hold it together for five minutes. "I'm, in class 1-A this year. Nice to, to meet you."
Asuka looked up from her map when she heard some one talking to her, her eyes landing the boy before her.
“Hello, I’m Yuki Asuka also a soon to be classmate of yours in class 1-A… might I ask why you have a can of escargot on your hand?” she asked slightly confused. To be honest this was the first person she really talked to since she arrived in the dorm part of the school.
"Huh?" Rihi stared at Asuka for a moment, confused about what she was saying, and then looked down at his hand.
He had forgotten to put the can in the fridge.
Mentally swearing, he hid the can behind his back, even though there was really no reason to. How had he missed that? "I d-don't eat snails," he stuttered, looking at everything except the girl in front of him. Way to make a good first impression. He did not want to be known as the 'weird insect kid', even though snails weren't technically insects but mollusks and as such they were closer to squids than ants and the such and- wow brain not the time. "It's, um. I mean, my pet eats the snails, not me, and, it's easier to, get then canned than risk catching wild ones that mayhaveeatenpesticidesI'msorry."
Toki continued trekking along until she heard a voice directly next to her. She swiveled her head to face them, being met with the toothy grin of a boy who claimed to be a fellow freshman. Her eyes did a quick scan of the boy before her, not that she didn’t trust him- or at least objectively, she didn’t reallt trust most people- it was just that she had a bit of a habit of scoping people out before engaging in so much as a conversation.
It was then that she realized her whole plan to lay low probably wasn’t going to work, especially if she’d been approached so quickly. She should’ve known- she was at a hero school after all, and heroes needed to be outgoing enough to be an example for society. So instead of brushing him off, she provided a little wave, “Nice to meet you. I’m Fujisaki Tokino. Ah- a fellow freshman.” She extended a hand tentatively. She wasn’t the best at socializing.
IG42 IG42
Asuka looked at him. “I do not have a problem if you eat them in fact eating snails in some places is very popular like France. I’m not a fan of them but I’m not going to be rude about it. I like to eat cheese and pickle together. Also those are canned and not good for animals to eat because of the preservative and salt.” she said as she saw he was getting nervous but had no issue with it she like a lot of weird foods so she could not tease him for what he liked to eat.
“you mentioned you have a pet… might I inquire what kind of pet you have, as I have a snake and two budgies” she asked after a brief pause and changed the topic so that she did not continue to make him uncomfortable.
Cheese and pickles. That did get a small chuckle out of Rihi, and he started fidgeting with the can. "It's, fine. These are made for reptiles, not humans, so. Don't have, uh. Harmful stuff." And would probably taste weird without cooking. Not that he was going to, but still.
The talk about pets was a more familiar territory, and he perked up when Asuka mentioned having some. "Really? Did you bring them?" With his quirk being what it was, Rihi had spent a lot of time studying biology and different animals to try to copy heir traits. He'd had mixed successes, but it made him like them a lot, to the point where he'd spent his recesses off in grassy areas playing with bugs rather than with his classmates. "I, have a centipede. Her name's Pandora, she's up in my room," he explained. Kinda had to take her with him because his father didn't want to get anywhere near her and his mother had a very unstable schedule and would probably forget to take proper care of her. The school had said it was fine since she'd stay in her enclosure the whole time and not bother anyone, but he still was somewhat apprehensive about mentioning her to other students, what with most people not liking 'creepy crawlers'.
Asuka smiled a bit. “ yeah I brought them. I will be making my room escape proof for them especially for blacky my American eastern black racer, who I am hoping to get the American mid western blue racer to be her companion and my two budgies , scarlet and Loki. They have both had flight training so I can take them out and let them fly out side with me and are kept on an all organic diet to keep them healthy.”
“ Now Blacky seems to enjoy scaring the daylights out of people for no reason other than she can. She will take her tail and rattle it against some dry leaves in her tank to make her sound like an American rattle snake, she on the other hand his nonvenomous so I have no worries about getting bit by her. I will be put a small freezer in my room to hold her food I don’t think it would be fun to see other members of this dorm screaming because of deceased chick or rodents that I feed her in the freezer here.” She said sheepishly
"You'd be surprised. People with mutation or animal quirks sometimes have, uncommon diets. So, they might, like frozen rats," he recalled. The talk about Asuka's pets was very interesting; Rihi had only really had chances to look at birds closely when he was feeding pigeons and managed to catch one for a bit, and in those occasions he always had to let the bird go after a while. And he'd never held a snake, either. If Blacky was a constrictor, then it shouldn't be that dangerous to say hi, right?
"Could I meet them?" he hopefully asked, before remembering the can of snails. "After I, uh, put this away, of course," he amended, making a gesture towards the kitchen.
