Digital My drawing journey

AbsurdNerd

The Cupcake Queen
so, I've barely ever picked up a pencil to draw with in my life, and I'm thinking about buying some digital art stuff and start drawing. Now, I may or may not be doing commissions on here, I'll find out eventually. But my goal is that when I start drawing I'll post at least one drawing on this thread every day, no matter how bad it is. To basically catalogue how far I've come and let people criticize and support me as I improve. I'll also have a deviantart. If you wanna follow my art journey, watch this thread and stay tuned for my first picture...

Gonna go buy a graphics tablet today, I'm excited ^0^.

My critique would be to first of all STOP calling your drawings "godawful piece of shit." You are just starting out so you need to cut yourself a TON of slack. I would say there are probably people out there that cannot even make a drawing as good as yours, so imagine them seeing a higher level artist, someone they may even look up to calling their own work a piece of shit. We artists need to support each other and show pride in our drawings no matter how novice they are. It looks like a cute cartoon picture to me, I think you have some hidden or natural talent, please continue to practice, practice, practice, then practice some more. YouTube is an endless source of art tutorials and lessons. Good luck on your journey! :)

Thanks I guess. The poor line work is a lot less noticeable when you're not on 800% zoom though, so it looks better than I guess I thought it did.

I'll probably just be posting updates on here rather than drawings from now on, but occasionally I'll do one.
