You'll be able to. The biggest obstacles when it comes to art is motivation. While you draw, think of things you can do to make it better like light shading and stuff like that, but not to the point to where you begin to get frustrated.

This is a pretty accurate representation of what many beginner artists feel compared to how the audience sees it

Haha! :) Alright, I'll do that. Thanks for the help. (^.^)

Ahhhhh, Tool. That takes me back.

I'd suggest trying out some nice drawing paper, anything above 100gsm, if you can get your hands on some. I suspect you'll be able to do some marvellous shading with it.

I know how hard it sucks to not be able to afford art materials, and I'm definitely not suggesting you run out and buy expensive stuff, but oh man, will you enjoy the effects you can get on thicker paper.

Also, a question about your shading; do you apply a variety of pressure all over your drawings for tone, or do you put down some pencil then smudge it to where you need it?

I usually apply a variety of pressure. The first one I used a blending stump on (that's on here) is the hand one, and even then I used pressure variety.

Ah, good, good. I couldn't entirely tell in all of them. In that case, I'd suggest seeing how far you could push your breadth of tone; dramatic shadows can improve drawings hugely ~
