My 4th of July Canceled

This year I went to England to visit my family. [My father works in the air force.] Last summer I experienced the best 4th of July I've ever had, being poor all of my other celebrations were more than dismissable we never did much at all. Last year we went to a carnival, that was open to everyone [a lot Britsh there as well]. It was the first time I got to spend a lot of time with my little brothers. As well as some quality time with my step-mom.


Well this year it is canceled due to 'security concerns'. Which everyone I've consulted says it is pretty much bullshit, though I have no clue personally. My dad said something along the lines of 'This is the kind of thing our great grandparents etc. would frown at us for.' [about the fear mongering and such]

Aw, Roo (You're still Roo to me). You'll feel bummed out now, but you will have plenty of July 4's in front of you. Remember how you missed out on this one, so you'll enjoy the next one doubly so =).


The feeling will pass. Be bummed all you need! Get it out of your system! Just know it won't be the end of the world.


It sounds like the time with your brothers was the biggest draw though. You can't be with them unless it's at the carnival?

Well of course I can be with them, it is just a different environment which is nice.


I'm not all that upset now, I just wanted to vent for a moment. It's nearly 5th of july for me anyway xD
