Gruntiest of the Grunts!
“Guilty.”
It was hard to hold back the sighs of relief and the shuddering sobs that escaped everyone’s throats as the mallet fell down with a satisfying knock. The woman on trial had fallen to her knees as the officers grabbed her arms to escort her out of the courtroom. For a moment, she locked eyes with Barton. He stared back with such a steely hardness that it made her deflate. The man that used to provide so much warmth and affection was now a mortal enemy. He was sure he’d want to murder her where she stood if they were alone together.
Murder her, like what she had done to their child.
“She’s finally facing justice!” an older woman said, trying to shake his shoulder. He closed his eyes in annoyance and pulled his body back.
Barton stared up at the screen, showcasing their beautiful little family together. His sons— one biological, the other his step-son from her previous marriage.
He felt someone drilling a hole into him from the side, and he looked over his shoulder.
It was her ex-husband.

Jaydee Bennet Baron murdered her children. Their fathers, one from a previous relationship, the other from the current (though now permanently ended) marriage, are feeling lost, angry, and desolate from this act of betrayal from the person who was supposed to love those kids as much as they did.
That night, the two men meet at a bar... and wake up in bed together the next morning.
Could they find comfort in one another? Or will the drama from a new court hearing, a furious mother-in-law, and nosy paparazzi break up this new relationship?
