Fantasy Murder: The Shadow's Grip

"Ah, good grief," JoJo sighed, following Arya and Natsu from behind, "Someone here with us or somethin'?" He asked, scratching the back of his head and a hand on his hip.

"I was just going outside with Nymeria... I don't always need someone with me, I can take care of myself."

Eyeless jack's voice cut through the air through out the house,
"I guess the cats out the bag," started the demonic, and harsh voice,


"I am something, far different then anything you mortals have seen." stated the creature, only, the creature continued.


"and so is my brother, but i suggest you do not meet him, his much, worse then I am." the voice laughed, a laugh that sent a chill into the air.


"You wont find me, because I wont be inside this house, I'll see you all at the hospital, only then will you see me in my true appearance."

Isaac cursed under his breath, Jack left.


"Dammit," he cursed again. "Stay there for a minute, I'm going to disarm these traps." The engineer went around disarming the mines, and stocking them back in the line rack cells. Making one final sweep of the house with the heavy weapon out, he made sure it was clear.


When he finished, he went back to Blake and Octavian. "Ok, all done. So what now? Are we actually going to the hospital like he expects?" he asked, looking back and forth between the two. It meant less than ideal conditions to do so.

"Dammit..." *I said under my breath. I ran over to Lia, and tried my best to carry her to the tree. I wasn't exactly the kind of person that goes off and helps random people, but this is one of those moments I do help out. When I picked up Lia, I grunted a bit. I kept moving, trying to avoid the enraged bees. I set Lia down right next to the tree, and I sat down next to her. I inhaled, and exhaled. "If we stay under this tree, the bees will forget about us. Since they use their senses to find their pray, they will mistake the tree branches moving for us." I rubbed my forehead, and sighed.*

"Oh, but you see, monster in the shadows, I have seen worse than you, before. I have seen true daemons. True creatures of the Warp. You are sub par. You aren't even worthy of the title, Daemon." Octavian spat. Was this "Eyeless Jack" really so egotistical and cocky that he thought that none of them had ever seen anything like him? He was pretty sure Issac had seen demons, from that haunted look he sometimes had, and Octavian himself remembered the battle right before his appearance here, when the hordes of Chaos charged his position. He wondered what that Chaos Lord would think, of someone like Jack. He'd probably tear him limb from limb, and rip out his skull for the Blood God, Khorne. ((The scary part being that Khorne is real.))


He felt something grab his armor, and looked down slightly, to see Blake hugging his armored arm. For a moment, he wished he didn't always have this armor on. For a moment or two, he wondered if it'd be possible to take it off. ((I shall edit the lore a bit, to make the Space Marine a bit less OP. As canon space marines are rediculously muscled, have two hearts, and three lungs, can breathe underwater, don't need sleep, and are all around badass. So, he's basically just a normal guy, except extremely skilled in combat. And the suit moves itself or something))

We can never be too sure in an environment like this where we're trapped and being constantly watched. Who knows? That guy from before said he was sending a monster to fight us, after all."

Instead of giving her an answer, Lia was surprised when Manco sprung into action and picked her, carrying her over to the tree. "Th-Thanks!" she said, shocked that he had helped her. "I had no idea this place had bees. That caught me off guard. It startled me a little too. I used to be allergic to bees when I was little." She frowned. "I don't know if I still am, but hopefully not anymore. Otherwise, I'll be in trouble," she said, showing him a few stings she had gotten on her arm. She winced. They already hurt.

Blake let out a loud audible sigh as she stopped hugging Octavian's arm and rubbed her forehead. This was a bit too much for her to comprehend right now. They were dealing with something a lot more complicated than Shadows now, and that bothered her. But the soldier pushed that sense of doubt to the back of her mind. She still needed to perform her duties. She slowly stood up and adjusted her coat before walking over to retrieve her Lasgun. "One thing is for sure: we HAVE to go to the hospital eventually," she asserted, picking up her weapon. "I still have a job of protecting survivors, even if I'm wrapped in a mystical mess of demons and being trapped in a test facility. You two may have not been spooked by Jack, but those survivors out there won't fair as well. We HAVE to kill him as soon as possible."


She gasped as her stomach suddenly began to grumble. "...but first, let's find something to eat, as well."

"He left us here. That means we have a little time to recoup. Whatever that creature is, it is self-absorbed and will wait for us to come to it," Isaac said. He faltered for a moment as his PTSD assaulted him with flashes of long hallways and breaking grates. Things always waited for him, he just had to face them head on.


"Let's wait here for a few. Octavian, take a rest --you didn't get a chance to earlier. You should fit comfortably in the living room. I'll... I'll stay here for a minute. I can make us some food," Isaac said going to what must have been a fridge. "Just try and calm down for a bit. Don't drop your guard, but really --staying wound too tight will get us killed," he said as he pulled a few things out.


"Let me know if anyone has food allergies."

"Agh, what a pain," JoJo murmured, taking a chocolate bar and eating it as he leaned against the wall.

"Are you talking about me?"


Arya looked up at the man, raising her eyebrows with a serious look.


"Am I a pain to you, ser Cheater?"

Siegfried heard the knock and sighed, he was found so there was really no point in remaining silent


Siegfried opened a little hatch that allowed people to speak through the door


"Uh..yes? There is someone."


But he then noticed they had already left. Phew.

*I looked over at her arm, and noticed the bee stings that she was talking about. The fact that she is possibly allergic to bees is bad, so we need to find something to help with the pain, and the stings. "I might have something that could help you with those stings..." I said. I moved my poncho so I could open my satchel that I kept under it. I rummaged through the supplies that were inside... I then pulled out a small bottle, it's what I would use for any wounds I would get, such as scratches, small bites from animals, etc... I handed the bottle to Lia, and said, "Here, if you use this on the stings, it should help stop the pain. And possibly get rid of some of the poison from the bees."*

Arya slid Needle back into its sheath and paused for a bit.


"You know what. I'm going to see what Nymeria smelled, and you two are not coming with me.


If you do, I'll put a hole in both your bellies."


She gave the two a stern look, then turned around and walked back to the house.


"Come, Nymeria."
