Fantasy Murder: The Shadow's Grip

"We should just move on to the hospital, if that thing is waiting upstairs, we should not fight it on its own terms," said Issac. That's when the words changed, reshaping themselves till another new sentence was made. Eyeless jack could hear everything the group was saying, and he had already put in motion his plan the monument they walked inside the door.
It's cute how you think you can leave, I won't let any of us leave till one of us are dead.

"So you can hear me can you?" Isaac hissed. "Well then. I guess we have no other choice."


Isaac looked at Blake. He tapped his fingers on the HUD to get it to reverse and show her what he'd typed. Jack could hear him, but not see him --he'd surprised him the first time when he walked into Blake's room. The words read 'We can't go for the door. Jack may have rigged it or something, escaping the house may cost us. We have a better chance of forcing him to flee, or killing him.'

Hey when a person has to burp they have to burp. It's not uncommon... *holds her second burp in from the group of fun police. She gets up and opens one cabinet filled with candy* Ohhhh candy!!

"Candy?! Give me some!" JoJo exclaimed, butting in, "What kind is there? I ain't taking any licorice! Those are disgusting, let me tell you!" He said, stepping to Natsu's side.

Arya sighed and rolled her eyes.


She was twelve, but these two were acting like children.


Grabbing four apples and some chocolate, she went back to Nymeria, who was still sniffing around.


"Nymeria? What's wrong?"


The direwolf started scratching at the door.


"You want to go outside? Well these two will be busy eating, so... Alright."


Arya took a bite of her chocolate and opened the door.


Nymeria immediately started sniffing again, following the scent and slowly going in the general direction of @Cressy

Eyeless jack sighed, Issac and Blake were becoming more and more of a pain in the ass the longer they lived, and now, they stopped speaking, so he was forced to leave the room. Eyeless jack slowly sat him self down from the air, and onto Issac's bed. Eyeless jack swung his legs onto the floor, and stood, he reached his black skinned hand for the door, and slowly opened it, sneaking onto the stairs so he could watch the three.

"What in the-" *I looked up at the buzzing noise, noticing a semi-large bees nest. Could this day get any worse? I holster my pistol, and and sprint to my left, trying to get away from the bees. I finally got my hat back, and now I'm running away from bees. Great. I remembered I had read something back in the library, something about bees... Oh! Now I remember, bees detect movement which is how they find their pray. If I stand directly under a tree, they will mistake the branches of the tree moving for me. Causing them to lose track of me. I sprinted towards a nearby tree, and pressed myself against it. The bees swarmed around the tree, confused about where I am.*

Lia bolted off running, not sure what to do. Unlike Manco, she had no idea how to avoid bees.


"Crap, crap, crap!" She shouted, running around in a circle at first, not sure what to do. Lia got stung a few times on the back, much to her dismay.


After a moment, she saw Manco hiding behind a tree and took off running toward him, wondering if he had figured out a method to avoid the bees. Unfortunately, however, she tripped over her own feet and fell to the ground, smacking her head hard enough to leave a bruise.


"How do you stop them?!" She called to Manco, army crawling to try and avoid the bees. They didn't attack Renegade, not seeing him as the threat who had disturbed their nest.

Siegfried observed the group, they didn't seem to know his whereabouts until the damn wolf started heading towards his house, as well as a little girl. He sighed and went to his living room, he waited to see what exactly they were going to do

"OH MY GOD!" shouted a teenage male voice, it sounded to be a distress, and it was coming from inside Issac's house. For a monument it went silent, and then a misty figure appeared before Blake and Issac, he looked to be eyeless jack, but tan, and to have eyes with irises that were black. Looking from left to right, the boy looked panicked, and as if he didn't know what was around him


"My body, Oh, my body! You have to reclaim my body for me!" shouted the misty figure.

Isaac typed new words in to show her. 'We set the trap. Line guns can set mines'


The doors in Isaac's home were all pneumatic --that means they released a groan and hiss whenever they opened. The aural amplifiers on the armor betrayed the monster on the floor above. Isaac pointed upward to the ceiling, indicating he was up there. He pointed to Octavian, and directed him to the corner. Now, it stood to reason that Jack didn't fully understand the technology here, or how it was supposed to work. That meant, that he could plant the line gun mines near some of his contraptions and have them look like they are a part of the machine. Quickly, Isaac set a few mines around the ground floor and looked to Blake.


He typed one more message to her. 'Stay close to Octavian. I'll be the bait.'


The engineer was interrupted however at the apparition of the boy. Isaac didn't trust apparitions --the Marker taught him that.


"We can't trust you."

"So when you said everything did you mean all this, like the houses and all?" He asked softly.

Object shadow's moved around Issac's house, almost as if they were closing in on the boy. The boy looked from the shadow's to Issac, and back to the shadow's. The boy took a step back, putting distance between him and a shadow that was expending from a nearby decor table.
"We can't trust you." said Issac, only, this caused the boy to take another step towards Blake, and his eyes to only stay on her.


"You have no idea what you face, it's evil in it's purest from, a demon in the flesh." said the boy. Shadows crept closer to the boy, circling him. "No! YOU CANT TAKE ME!" screamed the boy, whispering could be heard faintly, as if the shadows were speaking to the boy. The boy took another step back, and a flash of white blinding light overtook everyone within the house,


"You must come with me child! You do not belong here, evil seeks you, I will guide you to the heavens," spoke a unknown female voice.


"I can't!" shouted the boy,


"You must! You do not belong among the living, you are dead child!" answered the voice, and with as quick as the flash came, it was gone, and so was the misty boy.

Isaac grimaced behind his helmet. Evil in its purest form? All he could think of was the Marker and its necromorphs --surely they were an evil most pure. Regardless, the engineer had fought evil before and he could do it again. He had to. He would not lose his comrade Space Marine, and he sure as hell was not about to lose Blake.


He nodded to Blake again, he was going to go ahead with his plan. Carefully stepping out into the hall, he looked for Eyeless Jack, careful not to betray the position of any traps he'd laid.

Arya followed Nymeria.


"It's alright." she said to Natsu.


"I'm just going outside with Nymeria for a while, you can stay here."


Arya stayed behind a little to stop Natsu, while Nymeria took her time to find the exact location of the scent.


Once Arya had talked to Natsu, she started following her wolf again.


It didn't take long for the direwolf to start scratching at the door of a house.


"What's in here...?"


Arya had always trusted her wolf's instincts, so she knocked on the door.


"Hello? Anyone here?"

Octavian stood in the corner, with Blake behind him. When the mines went off, any sort of explosion or shrapnel could most likely be tanked by his Power Armor. He completely ignored the misty boy, and the strange voices, and the shadows, as the monster was more of a threat. He kept his gun aimed up at the ceiling, ready to send his bullets through the floor, and hopefully catching the thing by suprise. He had noticed the doors made a noise when opening, and that could help him. He noticed Blake dropped the Lasgun. He had no idea why, but that didn't matter right now. He had hoped the mines worked. If they did, this "Eyeless Jack" was going to be "Legless Jack", and then "Dead Jack", as Octavian blasted him full of holes.

"I guess the cats out the bag," started the demonic, and harsh voice,


"I am something, far different then anything you mortals have seen." stated the creature, only, the creature continued.


"and so is my brother, but i suggest you do not meet him, his much, worse then I am." the voice laughed, a laugh that sent a chill into the air.


"You wont find me, because I wont be inside this house, I'll see you all at the hospital, only then will you see me in my true appearance."

Blake slowly stood up as Jack finished up his speech. She waved with her arm to catch Isaac's attention, and then pointed upstairs. "Check it," she mouthed. She didn't trust the creature's words; she wanted to make sure the whole building was safe before she got out of cover.
