Character Personality:
Luke is the strong and silent type, never uttering a word. Instead he responds with gestures or shakes of his head when asked a question or when looking for confirmation on what to do. Generally composed at all times, the only time he ever makes a sound is in a fight where his vicious and sadistic streak bubbles to the surface, letting out wild cries as he destroys his opponents. These can be quite disturbing displays even to hardened fighters or veteran champions, and with his sheer size and strength backing him up, Luke is an intimidating figure. Luke also hates being made to look like a fool and will lash out at whoever seeks to belittle him. Even with this sadistic streak, Luke is highly disciplined and loyal, breaking away from a fight at his master's behest or if he is in danger.

  • Master Karateka: Luke ranks as one of the greatest martial artists in the world, if not the greatest unofficially, and has never been defeated in a fight.
  • Skilled Driver: Luke has been shown to be able to drive a car through dangerous and difficult terrain without a scratch while under pursuit. A similar person who drove in the same environment ended up flipping their own vehicle and completely totalling it.

Powers/Supernatural Abilities/ Mechanical strengths:
Luke possesses the strength, speed, endurance, stamina, reflexes and agility of a man his age, size and weight who engages in intensive regular exercise.
  • Peak Human Strength: Luke has vast amounts of strength, he has been shown to be able to lift a car with three grown men in off the ground
  • Peak Human Stamina: Luke has great stamina, able to fight master fighters with ease successively in a short space of time.

Reason for coming to the tournament: To win the Zirconiun Diamond to lure out Miyagi and get revenge

History:
A famous martial artist, Steve Hunt, travels to the desert for what he thinks is an Olympic-style competition. The competition turns out to be a trap set by Baron von Rudloff, an ex-Nazi general who is still bitter over the humiliating defeat of his martial arts team at the 1936 Summer Olympics by Japanese martial artist Miyagi, who bribed the judges with diamonds at the time. Steve wants to escape when his girlfriend and fellow karateka, Olga, is deemed unsuitable to continue as part of von Rudloff's team. However, when von Rudloff's sympathetic dwarf henchman Chico is assaulted by von Rudloff's fighters, Steve helps Chico, who sees the good in Steve and decides to help him and Olga escape. When Steve and Olga make their escape, von Rudloff sends Chico to travel around the world to recruit the best fighters for his team. Meanwhile, von Rudloff hires Ruell to kidnap Olga, who is now training with her teacher Lorraine, in an effort to get Steve back on his team. However, Miyagi learns of Steve's dilemma and offers him a chance to return, but as a member of his team. Steve accepts the offer and both teams begin their training for the competition.

Steve returns, but as a member of Miyagi's team. When the tournament begins, Steve finds himself at constant odds with von Rudloff. During the tournament, both teams score with Miyagi relying a lot on Steve. Steve eventually exacts his revenge on Ruell. However, in the final fight of the tournament, von Rudloff forces Steve to face Olga. However, Steve has come up with a plan that is set up with some of his fellow team members to help he and Olga escape. However, despite Steve holding von Rudloff hostage, the Baron's monster fighter Luke overpowers Steve and, along with the other fighters from both sides, Steve and Olga find themselves kidnapped and held in the Baron's underground prison. Von Rudloff also learns that his henchman Chico was responsible for helping Steve and Olga and is unhappy, with Chico attempting to tell the Baron there is "victory within defeat", which the Baron refuses to admit. When the fighters, now working together, make their break out of von Rudloff's castle, Steve follows the Baron to the deserts, where he takes on Luke in the middle of the desert in a final fight. Cornered, Baron von Rudloff finds a gun on the ground and, unable to accept defeat, shoots himself in the head.

After acquiring the amulet and his father's disappearance shortly there after, Chris found himself suddenly burdened by both family responsibilities as well as the responsibilities of being a superhero in New York. This forced Chris to grow up fast and whilst he's matured quickly in some ways, he remains over his head in others. He can be petulant and rash and not always entirely sympathetic when it comes to his actions.

Since he became into possession of it, Chris has become heavily influenced by his fathers journal, attempting to follow in his father's footsteps to capture and punish criminals above and beyond taking care of their victims. He has even sometimes gone as far as to consider himself as justice incarnate. However, after meeting the Punisher and seeing the ruthless vigilante in action, Chris realised he could never be like him and has started to rethink his position on the matter.

    • Enhanced Agility: Darkhawks reflexes and agility are enhanced beyond the capabilities of the finest human athlete.
    • Flight: The retractable glider wings under his arms allow him to glide on air currents. Darkhawk can also fly at speeds that let him fly from New York to California in only a matter of hours.
    • Superhuman Vision: Darkhawk has telescopic and infra-red vision.
    • "Darkforce" Blasts: He can fire blasts of destructive dark energy from his chest.
    • Forcefield: He can project a defensive force shield from his chest.
    • Horrific Visage: The face underneath Darkhawk's helmet is reportedly horrific, and has been employed to startle opponents in battle.
Weapons:
  • Claw Cable: Located on his right hand, the claw cable can be used both as a close range weapon or be propelled and used as a grappling hook.
  • Retractable Glider Wings: Whilst they are primarily used for flight, Darkhawk's wings can also be used as a bladed weapon in combat.
Reason for coming to the tournament:
Darkhawk has found himself drawn to the tournament by a mysterious force he believes may be his amulet [the Zirconium Diamond].

History:
Chris Powell was a teenager who idolized his district attorney mother and policeman father. Unknown to Chris, his father was a member of the Cabal, a clandestine group of former and current police officers who had turned to vigilantism to wage war on crime. The Cabal financed a powerful suit of armour built for them by Stane International called Savage Steel by taking bribes from crimelords such as Philippe Bazin, but after Mike Powell realized that the Cabal intended to execute criminals, he prepared to turn the rest of the Cabal over to the police. When Mike went to collect his last payoff from Bazin at an abandoned amusement park, he was spied upon by Chris, who assumed that his father was a criminal. Detected by Bazin's men, Chris stumbled across a mysterious amulet and was transformed into an android warrior. Chris defeated Bazin's men, and decided to use the amulet to wage war against men like Bazin.

Chris struggled to balance his career as a novice hero with his personal life. His father had vanished, and his mother was under considerable strain trying to manage the family alone. As Darkhawk, Chris fought the Hobgoblin alongside Spider-Man, but was distressed when Spider-Man berated him for being a vigilante like the Punisher. Spider-Man later apologised, realising Darkhawk was still young, and occasionally mentored him. Darkhawk did not fully appreciate Spider-Man's criticism until he met the ruthless Punisher in person and realized he could never be like him.

In battle with Savage Steel for the first time, Darkhawk lost his helmet and Savage Steel was horrified by his appearance. When Chris examined the face under Darkhawk's helmet, he too was horrified.

Chris was intrigued when he encountered Portal, a young mutant teleporter whose travels had brought him into conflict with Kistur, of the extraterrestrial Mahari. Kistur had found another amulet and used it's power for conquest, but was finally killed by Portal who took components of Kistur's android armour to wear for himself. Darkhawk suspected that Portal knew the secrets of the armour, but they were as much a mystery to Portal as to him.

Most recently Darkhawk encountered the criminal Tombstone, who tore the amulet from Darkhawk's chest, hoping to analyse its power for his personal use. Unable to resume his identity as Chris without the amulet, Darkhawk has found himself drawn to the tournament by a mysterious force he believes may just be it.

She also attended the University of Nothingham alongside Michael Rosen and Harrybo Scheddle, who she was also classmates with when she was younger. They were friends for a while (in fact she and Michael were kinda-sorta-not-really boyfriend and girlfriend for a while) but differing career paths separated them after they graduated. At one point Joanna was captured by a number of shadowy figures, one of which hypnotized her, and gave her access to her iconic(?) lollipop weapons, which she named herself after. Lollipop Lady was first sighted under her current alias being showcased as "a terrifying creature" by an unknown man. During the showcase she attacked Harrybo Scheddle, but he was rescued by Michael Rosen. Also she ended up with Michael's gold ring.
