Suggestion More Writing Contests

I love me a writing contest, and I'd greatly enjoy and would like to suggest monthly writing contests. Different themes, prompts, styles, etc. would be great to switch them up, but I feel like it would be absolutely gnarly.

I would recommend still having specific major contests, like the yearly Spooky Story contest, though.

I've tried hosting unofficial contests, but those aren't easy to organize and make sure that submissions come through.

Currently there is a contest being developed, though it isn't a writing one as the last one was a writing one. It takes us time to organize an event, then even more time for entries to be judged. With the update the staff are still fairly busy as many things need to be updated as well and we have a fairly large to-do list.

There will be other writing events/contests, eventually.

Quite a few of the staff (who aren't in full-time schooling) have kids, actually! Or... cats.... >_>
I wish we all had more time for site contests but real life comes first!!

With that said, we're always planning new things - so keep an eye on the announcements!!
