Reinhardt
huh
- The blue moon finally emerges, basking the night in its mystical azure light.
To the ordinary man, this would appear to be some strange unexplained phenomenon.
But to certain kinds of people, such as mages, this a long awaited occurrence.
To them, the blue moon is a rare event that is of great value.
Why?
Because the blue moon's presence amplifies the world's ley-lines, which in turn, causes a sudden influx of mana. And with it being abundant, a mage's abilities would be enhanced, allowing them to do feats they could have not done on a regular day. Things like a person's magical research could get done much faster, and other related activities would be more effective and efficient.
However, an unresolved issue lies in the path of this anticipated event.
For the past few weeks, mages from all around the world have been mysteriously killed. No one knows what, or possibly who, is causing such deaths, but if such a crisis continues, then all the mages might cease to exist. With their numbers reducing faster than ever, the Mages' Association has ordered all mages to cease any magic-related activity to avoid further deaths until the issue is solved.
But with the blue moon emerging, will such an order stand still? Or will the mages reveal themselves, only to be dragged into the mysterious killings? - Hello everyone, Reinhardt here.
Back yet again with another fantasy RP! I've been engrossed in "Fate" recently, and it has inspired me to create this one. Note that this is not a fandom project, rather it will be a thing of its own, with a number of similarities and references from Fate.
This will be in a modern-fantasy setting, where mages live among ordinary people and do their magical stuff hidden from society's prying eyes. I plan to make it an escalating story that will not only make things fun, but will also keep us all intrigued. I will be keeping full control of NPCs and antagonists, but players who are interested in playing as the bad guys are welcome to join me!
Now, I'll be granting a fair amount of creative freedom for players, not because the setting and lore is empty, but because I think it would be a much better experience with player involvement. If you have suggestions, recommendations, and the like, do not be afraid to speak up and spark a civilized discussion!
Of course, not all characters are going to be mages. There can be ordinary people. One can even play as a mage's familiar. (Think like Fate's Servants) Or even something else, such as a person who hunts mages!
If you are interested, please post in the thread below.
Or, you can go ahead and check in on the OOC Thead! - A mage, who goes by the name of "Nergal", has decided to disobey the Mages' Association's order to cease all magical activity. He has announced that he plans to do something world-changing under the blue moon's presence. According to speculations, it is something bad. Really bad.
But with the Mages' Association busy with the issue of the killings, they cannot do much about it. Instead, they call out for volunteers who would see to it that this "Nergal" would be apprehended and stopped before he can do what he plans to do.
Now, this is where YOU come in.
If you are a mage, it is your task to find him, and stop him, before he performs whatever it is he is intending to.
If you are not a mage, then you will be dragged in into this mess, and it will be up to you to get out of it, or join the mages' cause.
