A man walked up to a lamp post and held up a piece of paper to it. He stapled the paper to the post and kept walking. He put papers in mailboxes, windshields and asked business owners if they would put it up somewhere for customers to see. The most anticipated event of the year, that only comes by once. Hope nothing ruined it.

800 feet left to go. The feet going rather furious on the pavement sidewalks, rubber scraping minutely onto the concrete laid years earlier, Felix was nearly out of steam. 600 feet to go. He could've sworn this had been easier some time ago. His legs were aching. He wasn't sure if he had developed asthma or something in the past hour. Did he ever remember breathing this fast? 500 feet to go. Felix had a thought that one of his shoes were untied, and that any moment one of the small shops in Moonlight Springs was gonna have a new bill for their broken window. Had he slowed down in the past few moments? 400 feet to go. Maybe he should jog the rest of this as a cool down. He already put in a whole 3 miles, were these last few feet worth it? 350 feet to go. That was a new poster. The orange tint really started to mess with his tired eyes. It was so bright, and he was so dull. He just sorta wanted to rub his eyes. But he had 300 feet to go.

But then the thought of something came back to his mind. Why was he here? What grief did he harbor in his heart that he had to work for? His friend had been killed all that time ago. His childhood friend, one that would be running by his side today. Hell, it didn't bother him or give him any grief. It wasn't as if his death were some sort of filler, some character trait like he was in a story. It was just something to get him within those last 100 feet. He was pushing fast, fuel burning fast on an empty tank. He was close. And then he reached his destination. Home. And on the lamppost outside his cheap apartment, there was another orange poster. Interested, he examined it. Not much going on in this town anyways. Hunched over unhealthily on the lamppost, Felix read it over at an awkward angle. "Festival," he said, panting his words out like the dogs he despised.

Melody made her way over to the stall for the inn. Doesn't look too bad. Logo displayed properly, display table neat. She took a seat behind the table, idly pulling out a flyer to see the events for the day while she waited. There wasn't all that much, just the typical county fair stuff. Rides for the kids, a couple of local bands, things like that. Still, it was always nice to see the whole town come out.

Lukas walked out of his little apartment in a casual suit (as per the usual) to take a good stroll through town and see if he could find anything of interest to do. Walking through the streets, Lukas saw the usual: people walking around, drunks coming out of a nightclub, and loud kids running around. Lukas thought it was a little early to get drunk but decided it'd be best to avoid dwelling on the subject too long, unless he wanted to end up just like them. Every few steps or so, Lukas put his hands under his blazer to feel his guns, and every time he felt them there which gave him a sense of security. The air around town was very clear and pleasant and the sky was clear, the perfect setting for a little stroll to clear one's mind. Of all the things Lukas thought of Moonligh Springs, its peacefulness was the only thing that had kept him there for more than just a few nights as he had originally planned.

After a good few minutes of walking, Lukas came upon a curious poster, it was a (literally) bright little spot in an otherwise dull town. It was pasted to the window of a local shop, it said something about a festival that was going on later that day. Lukas was intrigued and decided to make note of the event before turning and walking away. In the distance, he saw the same poster on a lamp post with an exhausted man catching his breath next to it. "Hey there, you ok old man?" Lukas approached the man wondering if he was having a stroke or something. JokerValentine JokerValentine

As he returned to a slower breathing pattern, the male noticed he was not alone. He turned around slowly, facing this new soul that had made the remark about his age. That was something that Felix took rather personally, and overall it was a shortsighted comment. We all grow old, we all age, and one day this kid will be in diapers. Not before himself, however. "Old?" Felix said, a little raspy in his voice, "I just went for a run. Can't you tell?" He was wearing athletic wear. Worn out sneakers that had a blue stripe running right down the center of the tongue, black shorts, and a faded t-shirt drenched in his sweat that read "Bowling Green University". Even though his education there surely was a life and a half ago. Nonetheless, even if he was older, the comment was getting to him.

"But no," Felix said, wiping his brow, "I'm fine. I appreciate your... concern if that's the correct term to call it." It didn't feel like a concern to the male. It felt like an insult. It felt like he was being judged simply because his hair had begun to grow grey. Hell, this kid wasn't even that far behind him. What was he, 30? All comments aside, he too had seen the same poster, and was equally as intrigued by it. "They do this festival every year, and it's a big thing apparently," he said, looking back at the orange flyer. Felix could've sworn that this was the only way Moonlight Springs made any type of money.

Lukas held himself from laughing and only looked at the man with confusion, why do people always react so erratically to such simple comments? He shook the confusion off and simply responded with: "I'm glad you're ok, sir." A smile crossed his face in an attempt to look less insulting and hostile to the man who clearly wasn't happy with Lukas. "It's good to keep yourself athletic at all times, helps you live longer, too!" Lukas then looked past the man at the poster, and, sure enough, it was the exact same poster advertising the exact same thing as the one he'd seen. Looking around, he saw more, stuck to cars, windows, mailboxes, etc. Whatever this festival was, it was clearly something big around town and clearly something the residents were expecting.

"A yearly thing, huh," Lukas started, looking up trying to think of something. This man had probably been here longer than Lukas if he knew about the festival and the yearly tradition of it, so he might know things about this town. "How long have you been in this town, if you don't mind me asking?" Lukas started to speak up once again, "I've only been here for a week and have noticed that this is a very uneventful town; I never would have expected them to have festivals and the such around these parts."

Calming down, though still a little bit inflamed because of this man, Felix eyed the poster a little closer. "I've seen a few of them. It's annual, and it's the only thing to ever happen in this town," he said flatly. In this town, everyone was there, from the modern family to the archaic farmer. There were games, prizes, werewolves, singers, food, drinks, kid rides, tons of hay, tons of vampires, and Felix's favorite: people to talk to. He was rather sociable, that is if the person had respect for him or didn't act in an annoying and perhaps demeaning way. Then they'd probably get a fist to the face.

Felix found this new person to be rather interesting. Nobody really ever moved here anymore, they just left or got killed. Felix too was no exclusion. He moved some years ago following his friend's death. He heard a few rumors, some that would seem strange to the wrong person. Besides, he wasn't really allowed to talk about it. With enlightenment comes chaos, as some cannot handle the knowledge they attain. Such seemed the case with this man; he had his doubts that he knew anything at all. But the fact that he moved here so recently was somewhat intriguing. Especially because he couldn't think of any reason to come to this shitty town. "Why did you move here, of all places?" Felix inquired, looking this man up and down.

Lukas was intrigued, this town had a yearly event, and it was the only thing to happen here. He started thinking of possibilities: maybe this is the place he'd heard about where creatures live and maybe the event would lead him to some of those creatures. Letting out a quick smile, Lukas sighed and put his hands on his guns once again, feeling relief and security. He pulled his hands out and smiled a more sincere smile than the one he'd smiled previously. Maybe he would find something to do in this shithole of a town after all. "Well, I'm here looking for some... particular types of individuals," Lukas started, being very careful with his words, "let's just say that I have some business here to attend."

Stretching out his hand, Lukas looked at the man and gave him a courteous look. "My name is Lukas Schmidt, what's yours?" Lukas expected to learn more from the man and decided that it'd be better for him if he had something akin to an ally in this town if his suspicions were truly correct. Avigayil was on the outskirts of town, just walking in. It was a beautiful day in the forest, and she was content as she could be. Humming to herself, she looked around, basket in her hands, with a small mouse curled up asleep inside. She glanced at the mouse and smiled, "Almost there, sweetheart."

The mouse had been wandering the forest trail last week when an owl had come swooping down to grab it. It's next meal. Luckily, Avigayil had seen it, and just as it was flying away, managed to get him to let go. The mouse had broken her leg, and so Avigayil took her home to care for.

Now, it was time to let the little girl go, back to the wild.

*midnight rode her bike into the fair grounds and towards their stall, the wind felt good as she sighed and pulled up beside it, pushing out the kickstand and heading in, she started to carefully arrange things at the booth* "Hey Melody, how are you?" *she props a keg up on the table along with another, her handmade rootbeer going for a dollar a glass and three dollars for a bottle*

Instantly, as if he truly knew what was being hinted at, Felix's interest in the male peaked. If the man was hinting at what he thought, of course it could be many other things, he may have just made a new friend. That's always a good thing to have in the world, nonetheless in a town that has been rumored to contain the seasonal freak. Felix extended his hand, and gave him a firm grip and shook. Perhaps this man was worth a test of his.... alliance. Although he had to do it in a very under the radar way, he had had experiences with dealing with the public before, those that didn't really have a good idea of the world around them. "Nice to meet you, Lukas. Say, this may be rather weird to ask, but I am an Atlanta Hawks fan. I was wondering if you wanted to see some of my memorabilia in my apartment. That is, when I get changed out of these rags?"

Now it may be of wonder what would've happened if Felix talked to a normal person who just happened to be a Hawks fan, but as this was Kentucky they tended to like some other team. Atlanta was not usually appealing to these people, and so he had gotten lucky. But if this man had caught his drift well enough, hinting at the rather subversive question he was truly asking.

"Hi there, Mid." Melody smiled at her fellow witch as she took out the root beer. "You did make sure not to get that confused with any of your potions, right?" she whispered jokingly. "Wouldn't do for any of our patrons to suddenly shrink or something like that." Mel did trust her covenmates not to betray the secret, but it didn't hurt to have a little fun once in a while.

*Midnight chuckled as she pulled a few platters out of a bag along with some display stands, arranging them* "I might have added a secret ingredient but nothing that would cause any magical effects, just to enhance the taste like my usual brewing, nothing bad" *she began arranging breads and jams on the platters, setting out small samples*

Lukas noticed that the interest of the man had been peaked. While the man never revealed his name, Lukas decided that, considering his tone, there was some motive to his suggestion. "Why, yes I am," Lukas began, "I'd be quite interested in seeing what you might have." Lukas decided that whatever this guy wanted from him, it'd be beneficial to stick with him and have someone to rely on. Immediately, Lukas put his hands in the pockets of his blazer and briefly flashed one of his guns so as to indicate that if the man intended to mug Lukas, he'd have little luck doing it. A quick smile came upon Lukas' face as he buttoned his blazer back up and he turned to the man. "Shall we get going?"

Leslie arrived and met up with Midnight, holding a bunch of flyers.

"I'm putting these on the the table. They advertise the tavern."

Ethan walked down the street, shades and blue tanktop on. He walked by the shops, and noticed a flyer. Ripping it off the window it had been pasted on, he read it briefly, and grinned.

"This should be interesting." Ethan crumpled up the flyer and threw it over his shoulder. He would have to stop off at the store before the festival started, and grab some supplies.

As the last stragglers finished setting up. 4:00 came around and the local DJ started up music. It was nice music, that would get people into a happy mood. But something sinister lay underneath.

Penelope came barreling down the street on her skateboard. She carefully hung on to her supplies as she flew down the road. Carefully she managed to stop herself right before bumping into her table, which was right next to the inns table.

"I made it on time, nobody can tell me otherwise." She said quickly.

Penelope put her 'Henna and Glitter Tattoos' sign and placed her binder of designs next to it. She put the bag of supplies next to her feet. She was lucky that it took barely any time to set up.

People started lining up and Penelope wondered if she would meet anyone interesting today.

Carlos had been sitting in his room at W.O.L.F all day, but when time came for the festival he was out. A small smile was on his face as he walked around the large grounds to look at everything. There was lots of food everywhere, but a young girl caught his eye. She seemed to be running a temporary tattoo area and lots of people and children had gathered. He tilted his head at the group and walked over to her. Someone told him to not cut and he shook his head. "Ma'am, would you like assistance?" He asked her while several people glared at him as they assumed he was cutting.

Margo's grip on the steering wheel had made her knuckles white. She had a bad feeling about the festival, but she didnt want to alarm her cubs. She was sure that she was jsut being paranoid, nothing bad had happened since Georgie, the last remaining memeber of her pack, had passed away last winter. There was no reason for anything to start now.
She took a deep breath as she pulled into the parking lot, and tried to convince herself that it would be fine

" I have no idea what you are talking about." Penelope joked as she took her customers hand and began to ink it.

Penelope then looked up to the person that had spoken.

"Well Henna takes a lot of time and practice to master, but if you want to help with the glitter tattoos then pull up a chair." She said, nodding towards a folded up chair behind her.

"You ever do anything like this before?"

Felix nodded with a small smile and led the way up the stairs. The hallways outside the various rooms had the heavy scent of mold and cigarette ash. The wallpaper, once proudly a nice beige, had faded into a yellow. They were one of the cheaper places in town, and since Felix had limited money, he could only afford such a place. Perhaps once upon a time this place was much better looking, but now it was but a garbage dump for society. Felix went down the hall to the right, picking a door labeled "35," his aparment number. He quickly opened the door to his home, him and his friend, and paid mind to make sure nobody else was there.

Inside the apartment, the layout was rather simple. Various items, pictures, food waste, it all littered his room. His bed was made, but it was small and cheap. Going ahead, the male did not even bother to shut the door. He went towards his room. "Stay here for a moment," he commanded, going into his room to quickly apply enough deodorant to make people think he showered, and then got dressed in more proper attire. In a quick moment, he exited. 'Close the door," he said.

James looked up from his book to see that people were starting to walk around the downtown area of Moonlight Springs. "Hmm I should probably go get in uniform." James jumps down from his favorite tree branch and begins jogging towards the W.O.L.F. Cabin. James' first action was to put away his headphones and book. Then, he put on his W.O.L.F. uniform with his designated name tag. "Egh, the least they could have done was iron these so they weren't so wrinkled." James then walks out to join the festival and catch some litterers in the act. Who knows, maybe he will meet someone interesting.
