Astera
Wingdrakes soar between the towering wooden structures, shipwrecks that seem to rise out of thick ocean mists and hover high above forest canopies, a bustling hub of life at the doorstep to the New World and the start of your new adventure.
Astera, envisioned by the First Fleet, continued by the following Four Fleets and the culmination of over 40 years of hard work. Serving as the Research Commission's base of operations: your new home where hunters, researchers, and technicians have all gathered to uncover the mystery surrounding the Elder Dragons.
Located between the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Wastes, Astera is more of a base than a village, built to support the Hunters and researchers as they explore the New World and its ecology.
It is built in three primary tiers, with large, chain driven lifts allowing for ease of travel between the floors, though there are stairs connecting the first and second tiers for those of a more active persuasion.
The Gathering Hub, located on the Third Tier, is only accessible by chain lift.
The First Tier:
The Tradeyard;
The ground floor of Astera, a bustling Hub of activity containing virtually everything an adventurer needs and more. Containing docks, supply areas, a meeting area, and an Ancient Tree; the Tradeyard is home to The Resource Center, The Supply Cache, The Arena and The Research Center, comprising of the ecological and botanical research divisions. Here you can stock up on supplies, gain information, and take requests from the various departments. here you will also find lodgings for hunters new to the area.
The Second tier;
The Canteen and The Smithy
The second tier contains The Smithy, the workshop where weapons and equipment are developed and improved. Its forges burn hot and bright, dawn to dusk ready to accept your request anytime of the day. A large wooden suspension bridge connects the smithy to the Canteen, run by a team of Palicoes headed by the Meowscular Chef, the canteen is here to serve even the hungriest of Hunters. 5+ a day keeps the Anjanath away so always remember to fill up before any adventure!
The Second tier is also home to the more veteran Hunters who call Astera Home.

The Gathering Hub
The Gathering Hub, Astera's premier Tavern, serving as a gathering place for the Hunters of the New World.
From here you can go on quests, have a meal, make connections or even enjoy a friendly round of arm-wrestling.
Built atop a ship that brought the First Fleet safely to the New World, it is Astera's highest point and is only accessible via the chain lift.
