Modern, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Oh My!

SerenityAlec

There is nothing so important as a trifle.
Hallo, I am Serenity. I am looking for someone to play one of these plots with me via PM.

Romance is acceptable, but never required. I average about 3-5 paragraphs per post, and I would request my partner average about the same. My only limits are the ones employed by the site, and I only have a few simple rules.

  • Godmodding is never acceptable.
  • Neither are Mary Sues/Gary Stews, or perpetually miserable characters. Variety and complex personalities are what makes roleplaying worthwhile.
  • I will play any gender and gender pairing, and I would like to request the same of you. Personalities should drive characters, not what they have in their nether regions.
  • Doubling is possible, but never required.
  • Proper grammar and a decent command of the English language should be employed at all times. However, typos and mistakes do happen, and will be forgiven.
  • Please, do not start a huge plot shift (character is pregnant! Building collapses!) without asking my opinion first. We are partners, and should share equally in all decisions.

I prefer to play Character A in all of these plots, but I can more than likely be convinced to play Character B. ^.^ Please comment and/or PM me if you are interested. Thank you!

  1. Modern: Mad World: Character A has been in an insane asylum for many years. They have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and regarded as a lost cause. However, when B comes to work as a new Psychologist on the ward, they seem to be exactly the person that A has been hallucinating.
  2. Modern Fantasy: Change Your Spots: Character A has been the Alpha Shapeshifter in their town for a long time now, and has enjoyed this prestigious spot in the status quo. Now, though, a new Alpha (B) shows up and threatens to overturn A's previously undisputed rule.
  3. Medieval Fantasy: Dragons Aren't Pets: Dragon riders are becoming a rare breed. Only a limited number of humans have the strength of will and magical talent it takes to tame a dragon, and A is one of the few. The problem is, they have lost their ability to use their magic (for a reason we can discuss) and must now seek out B, an expert in such matters, for their advice. However, advice always has a price...

  1. Modern: Catch Me If You Can: This is based off of the book of the same name, written (and lived) by Frank Abignale Jr. (I will play either role for this.) Character A is a con artist who poses as whatever they need to at the moment, whether it be an airline pilot deadheading, a lawyer, or a wealthy businessman forging checks. The cash is pouring in, and they are living high and well, then Character B (a bank teller, stewardess or legal intern) figures out their secret. Blackmail is such an ugly word...
  2. Dystopian Science Fiction: Survival of the Smartest: A new colony being formed on a distant planet depends heavily on shipments of crops and metals from Mother Earth. Survival becomes difficult when the shipments suddenly stop and all communications cease. Two (or four) leaders have been elected to return to Mother Earth to assess the situation.
  3. Medieval Fantasy: Tick Tock My Clock: In the center of town, a tall clock tower stands. It was bewitched by a powerful mage of the kingdom to run forever. Suddenly, it has stopped. Since then, the seasons have never changed, stuck in a perpetual summer. The wind always blows the same direction, and rain falls for the exact same number of hours every day. Crops are withering, people starving, and the leader of the Kingdom is at their wits end. The royal Time Mage, Character A, has no idea why this has happened, but sets out with a mercenary hired by the King (Character B) to find the last known descendent of the mage who enchanted it.

Those sound pretty good; in particular, Catch Me If You Can seems interesting. Could I do that one with you, or is is private/closed/destroyed in the great fire of 2054?
