Miscellaneous Roleplay Section

Dugym

One Thousand Club
I think there is need for a Miscellaneous Roleplay section.

I had two ideas that could fit under this section:

  • A Hosted Project that was used to train inexperienced roleplayers. There would be roleplaying within the boards.
  • A roleplay where the players decide the plot. Modern/Realistic wouldn't really work because Fantasy/Futuristic could become the focus of the roleplay.

We recommend that roleplays are sorted by setting, regardless of the content. Elves in a realistic setting would be realistic/modern, whereas a human settlement in a high fantasy setting would be more of a fantasy roleplay.

Generally, sections are added due to a surplus of roleplays of its type appearing on the forums, but they're pretty flexible.

Well if the players decided everything, including setting, where would that roleplay's interest check go? And what about a training HP for inexperienced roleplayers with roleplays inside?

For the first, it doesn't sound like you're pushing an idea so much as looking for a co-project roleplay, so that'd go in roleplay discussion and advice until you've all decided on setting.

Put a training HP where you think the majority of the games would fit (your most common genre, or possibly fantasy, as it's the most popular on the forums.) You can always advertise for separate roleplays in separate interest checks. :)

There are interest checks for all of the available genres/ methods of roleplaying on RpNation.  There isn't a specific way to roleplay in a hosted project.  The only difference between the hosted project and the regular forums is how the related threads are collected together.  Using the hosted project as the GM is another story, but there's a tutorial for that. ;)
