Purpl submitted a new resource:
Midkemia - Medieval world with magic - This is a medieval world full with magic.
Midkemia
Hello fellow RPers! This is my first try to create a RP world. I have not created the world itself, it is the world created in Raymond E Feists books, but i find this a very good layout of a world.
This world is old, full with old empires fighting its way back to power. You will be tossed in the midst of a power struggle in Triagia, the biggest continent of Midkemia!
Here is the layout of the world;
So that was the layout of the world! On to the in depth of this world then!
Races
Humans
Divided into six sub races.
Non-humans
Starting Points
There will be 9 starting points, one for each race. You may start where you want, no matter what race you chose.
Except the Mordehls, they may only start in Sar-Sargoth, and only rouge warriours may start in Sar-Sargoth that are not Mordehls.
The Quest
This is an open world. You may do as you please, chasing dragons (oh yes they do exist), finding treasures down in an old vault, hunting, killing, practicing magic, yes you may do what you want to do.
But beware this is not a RP where you start with an OP character that can do anything and has everything.
You will have to be patient, put down time to earn gold, upgrade your weapons, armor and so on.
If you are doing an action which i deem unfit for your character, well you understand yourself what will happen.
Armor & Weapons to be repaired from time to time.
Shops will be both NPC and player made.
If you want to rule the kingdom, you may chase the position of power anywhere.
But, you will start with what everybody else has.
The places that are put on the map and do not have any pictures on them, you may invent or put in yourselves.
You may create new places as you go along, but there will be no "super good killing spots" where you get all the things you need. This will be a game and a role play, it is not meant to give you everything you want from the start. You have to fight for it with the others.
I will create random events in the story, there might be anything from attacking dragons to a flood, you may chose to react to this how you want to react.
(More info will be added once i have done more)
The rules to follow are the following;
Your character is not over powered.
Your character does not know anything outside his "field of vision"
Your character does not know everything from the start.
The regular RP rules follows i suppose. There will be more rules coming out soon (Gosh i sound like someone running a slave camp)

Here is the layout of the world;
This is where we will be having the events. There are different races in each part of the kingdom, specifications will be given.
The Nothern Kingdoms, a place of snow, rocky places. It's inhabitants are Dark Elves (Mordhels) and Goblins (Their underlings)
The middle kingdom, or just The kingdom, is where men, dwarves and some elves lives. There are the west and east frontiers, both being governed by one king who sits in Rillanon, but the Prince who is situated in Krondor has more influence in the west then the kind has which can easy start a civil war. The dwarves live in the Grey Towers and the elves in Elvandar.
The empire of great Kesh was once ruling almost whole of Triagia. Then, the Keshian confederation decided to revolt. Now the whole south continent is in a revolution of some kind which makes it an easy prey for the kingdom to invade.
So that was the layout of the world! On to the in depth of this world then!
Races
Humans
Divided into six sub races.
With the Capitol of the west sphere being situated in Krondor, the people of the west sphere in the kingdom is toughened by years and years of battles with the Mordehls who lives in the Green Heart, the goblins who follow the Mordehls, Pirates and also the people of the Free Cities.
They people of the west sphere was those who advanced first while their brothers and cousins of the east were sitting back and dealing with politics instead.
They are a people of action rather than politics.
They work hard and think highly of justice.
They have many great warriors due to their history.
They are white, tall and often blonde.
With the capitol of the whole Kingdom lying on the islands to the east, Rillanon is a spectacle for the eye.
Here there are seldom any big battles.
In the east, politics is what you live for, you need a keen eye for backstabbing and advancing through ranks.
They rather have others work for them, being almost all noble in the East, they have big courts full with pages that make all their small business for them.
They are white, not as tall as their western brothers and also have more Dark hair.
Here, the Kingdom is despised. The Kingdom waged wars for many many years against the Free Cities, almost vanquished them from the planet itself.
They are struggling to get back on to their feet.
They also put a lot of effort into trade, which they have with Queg and the Kingdom, but only on their own terms.
Most of the people in the Free Cities are mercenaries, you can buy them for the right price.
Having a grudge towards the Kingdom, they try to stay away from their business and backstab them when they can.
Being taller than the people of the Kingdom, they stand almost as tall as the elves, with a keen eye and good horseman ship they make great archers and rangers.
The people of Great Kesh are a part of the oldest kingdom on the planet.
They are slave drivers, pushing their soldiers like dogs in war.
They are a proud people, the noble sit upon the others like gods.
There are nothing here for the poor, only the work of a slave.
Great Kesh is almost only made out of desert, placing the Cities around water supplies.
The cities that do exist are big and full of people, easy for some to just disappear some day, taken by a slave driver.
They are dark skinned, short stocky people.
These are people who were under Great Kesh's domination.
They break lose in order to govern the whole southern part themselves.
Unfortunately, their strength matches Kesh perfectly which puts the fight in a stalemate.
They are their brothers equals, striving for equality and justice in their country.
Little more are known about these people.
This is a pirate island.
Almost everything here is trade or piracy.
Roaming the bitter sea for any profit they are feared over all the Kingdom.
When they cannot steal, they make trades, and the trades are often gems since their Island consists of many mines of Marble, and other fine gems.
They despise The Kingdom, but have a neutral setting towards the Free Cities.
Also being rather dark skinned as their southern neighbors, normal length.
Non-humans
They are the mythical Elves, you have all read about them at one part.
They live in the great forest of Elvandar, where their magic is at its peak.
Rarely do they leave their forest, but when they do it is because of personal reasons.
They prefer the bow over any other weapon, but also have close combat weapons such as longer knives.
They have lived in the forest for a long time. The forest also has a twin in another province.
They are sorry for their brothers who have turned to the dark path.
They are like their brothers. Only dark skinned, and wretched.
They have turned to an evil cause and wants to get rid of their light skinned brothers. Their hate towards them is strong.
Living in the tundra lands, living off what they can they are a hard skinned race.
They are tightly connected with the Golbins, the Goblins sees them as their masters and they do not go to war without them.
The Dwarves are a proud people. Living down in their mines at The Grey towers they are making great weapons for any one who can pay what it costs, which is not a small sum.
They are very vigorous, having long lives.
Short and stocky, bearded and always ready to battle.
They live mostly with their own kin,but some dwarves prefer the company of humans rather than their own kin.
Deep in their mines, they sometimes end up digging up something that does not belong to the living worlds.
