Filled with DETERMINATION
To say that the destruction of Mako Reactor 01 went as planned was to be criminally optimistic, but even Shinra couldn't fully anticipate the consequences of their own actions. As the green pillar of mako energy erupted into the sky, President Shinra felt smug in that all the pieces were falling into place, until the sky itself suddenly fractured, emerald cracks spiderwebbing across the skyline.
Eyes turned heavenward as people gaped and stared, uncertain what they were looking at, unknowing that Shinra's brash actions had irreversibly linked two entirely different fragments of reality, creating a pathway that would spell disaster for both realms. The people stared in awe, President Shinra standing by his office window and staring up at the sky, dumbfounded, uncertain what to make of this unexpected turn of events, he was reasonably sure that even his greatest spin doctors would be unable to pin this on Avalanche.
But a moment later, that was of no consequence, as a large reptilian creature was sighted, emerging from the fracture in the sky.
Eorzea would call it The Eighth Umbral Calamity.
Midgar would call it The Wrath of Bahamut.
As people on the plate screamed and ran, Bahamut spat streams of destructive light from its mouth, cutting through machinery and masonry with equal ease, ironically the people on the lower plate were - relatively - much safer.
It was because of this... chaos, that nobody noticed a figure dragging themselves out of Mako Reactor 01, a woman with short-cropped snowy white hair, long rabbit ears, and dressed in black and gold armor with a katana at their hip.
The Warrior of Light.
