[ powers ]
xxx↳ self-molecular manipulation bea has the ability to stretch, contort, shrink and extend her body. her limbs can alter their molecular structure to become malleable or change her height to become giant, or become as tiny as a mouse. when she's at a tinier height, bea becomes lighter in weight and can jump higher, and her putty-like body allows her to be much more flexible than an normal teenager.
[ drawbacks ]
xxx↳ fatigue if bea constantly changes her height, the teen will suffer from dizziness spells and loose her balance, possibly passing out if it was an extreme case; which isn't very useful in a fight.
xxx↳ diet bea must keep eating in order to handle being a different size or extending her limbs like putty, if she doesn't eat enough, she'll feel extremely ill and be unable to stretch or alter her size as easier as she usually can.
xxx↳ weight alteration the teen whenever tiny still has the same weight as if she was regularly sized, and bea has to be careful not to jump too hard or punch a fellow x-men by accident in case she causes damage.

Powers
power: Mana Manipulation - The ability to manipulate the mixture of magic and nature's life force known as mana.
- power limitations:
  • Blair's power is incredibly attuned to his emotion and acts on its own based on them, because of this Blair must keep a tight leash on emotions or less he'll lose control.
  • While Blair can manipulate mana itself into whatever shape he wants fairly easily, other applications of his power can be incredibly exhausting and physically tasking leading nosebleeds, dizzy spells, fainting, comas, and death.
  • Blair's lifeforce and powers are directly tied to nature's mana and can be weakened if the nature around him is damaged or if he's too far away from it. If kept to far away from nature too long, Blair will eventually wither away and die.
- power techniques:
  • Energy Manipulation [Main] - Blair can manipulate mana it's raw form to create energy blasts, beams, shields as well as weapons,
  • Physical Attribute Augmentation [Secondary] - Blair can use mana to temporarily enhance his physical abilities such as vision, speed, and strength

Biography
1) when did you first recognize your powers? where and what age?: I always knew about it, my mother told me that I would likely inherit because of my ancestry but I was never allowed to use it. My father hated mutants and my mother didn't want him to know what she and I were. Even to this day, I don't understand why she loved him as much as she did. I was 10 when I first used it, my mom had recently died and I was still incredibly torn up about then one of the upperclassmen at my school decided to make fun of my mother's death. My powers reacted and sent the boy flying into a wall and he got knocked out cold.
2) how did you feel about mutants before you found out about your powers? I always knew so I always had a rather positive view on them.
3) how do you feel about non-mutants and the general societal view of mutants? I hate it and I hate them. I understand the whole 'Fear of the unknown' shit but it doesn't give to them the right to hurt and abuse people who are different from them.
4) how do you feel about your abilities? I honestly really like my power, they are interesting.
5) how'd you figure out about your affiliation? After my dad kicked me out Magneto found me and took me, I have pledged my loyalty to him ever since.
6) do your family members know about your special abilities? if so, then how did that go about? My father knows, he found about about it a year after I knocked that kid out. He was drunk and was getting violent. He tried to hit me and i sent him into a table with an energy wave. He kicked me out of the house afterward

"i think i was eleven. my brothers always played rough with me, and sometimes i'd get upset. one of my brothers approached me, taunting me and i knew exactly what he was going to do. but i didn't want to be thrown around. he went to reach for me, and a barrier quickly formed around me, stopping him. as soon as i realized it was there, i was afraid of it instead and wanted to hug my brother." gen brushed back some of her hair, a sad smile on her face. "it went away. it was clear it came from me."
how did you feel about mutants before you found out about your powers? her brows furrow, as her legs noticeably stop swinging from the edge of the bench
how do you feel about non-mutants and the general societal view of mutants?; gen twiddled with her thumbs, silent for a moment as it was clear she was debating her words. "i don't hate non-mutants. they're fine. but i hate what humanity can do to one another." she glances down at her lap with a calming breath, ".i can see history repeating in the worst of ways."
how do you feel about your abilities?; "sure, at age six i may have fantasized about powers, but i've come to see my abilities as no more than a burden. a curse." she plasters on a small smile. "no changing that, though."
how'd you figure out about your affiliation (prof. x, or magneto)?; "for a long time, i had no affiliation. i didn't want to pick sides or get involved. i suppose it made it real to me." she glances down at her upturned palms, "i didn't want to hurt anybody, so i needed control. i didn't want to be feared, i wanted to help. so professor x seemed like the only choice."
do your family members know about your special abilities? if so, then how did that go about?; "of course. casey and ryder were the first ones to find out. it sort of went from youngest to oldest in finding out. everyone was fine with it until josh. and then my parents..." gen trails off, her eyes distant, "they were told by josh, and i could see the fear and horror in their eyes as they looked at me. from then on i was hardly let out for anything but school."

power; force field generation and manipulation
xx→ deflect + shield : the main use is obviously protection and restriction. gen can put a field around someone and not let them out, or put a shield around herself to stop an attack.
xx→ constructs : gen's force fields can adopt many forms and shapes, limited only by her imagination.
xx→ attacks : she could release a wave of force fields to crush stone. connected to constructs, she could create blade-like force fields and throw or fight with them.
xx→ penetration : gen is naturally unaffected by force fields created by other means, unless that person's shields are stronger than her own. she could walk right through one.
xx→ movement : gen can move her force fields on a whim, regardless of physics. this also gives her the ability to create a platform to carry and fly her, or she could be in a bubble and do the same (she can also do this to others).
xx→ selective : gen can pick and choose what can flow through her force fields. she could, theoretically with better control, block photons, rendering someone inside invisible, or block all particles (e.g. oxygen) and deny someone inside the ability to breathe. though of course, she isn't that developed yet.

limitations + drawbacks;
xx→ fatigue + energy : gen can quickly become fatigued with overuse or if under extreme stress (such as maintaining a barrier under constant attack).
xx→ time restraints : the fields last a maximum of ten minutes, and it is thus far unsure if gen can extend this time period with practice.
xx→ appearance : her barriers naturally glow and ripple with the patterns a child would see on the floor of a pool - the patterns that the sloshing water and sun combine to make. this means it can be seen when she's using them. she has been able to make them invisible once, followed by collapsing.
xx→ shatter : her barriers can be destroyed, and when they are, they shatter into sharp shards alike glass. she can't control the pieces at that point, and they can cause collateral damage.

☾ [1) when did you first recognize your powers? where and what age? I was 10 and pissed at my mom for going on a date only two years after my dad died. She was trying to talk all patiently to me, and I started mocking her responses. The argument died off pretty quick when my voice came out sounding exactly like hers.
2) how did you feel about mutants before you found out about your powers? Having superpowers always sounded like such a cool concept when I was like, 7, but watching all the conflicts between mutants and non-mutants or mutants v. mutants pretty much killed that. Mutants and the life they lived was terrifying to me... Now I'm living it too.
3) how do you feel about non-mutants and the general societal view of mutants? Being a mutant, I can't help but think society's treatment of mutants is ridiculous. I don't want to take over the world or be above the law; I just want to live a regular, chill life Just because there are people who choose to criminals doesn't mean everyone's a criminal, right? But at the same time, for as much as I wish I didn't, I understand where they're coming from and why they're so fearful. Feeling powerless is terrifying.
4) how do you feel about your abilities? Sometimes I feel as if I forgot what my actual voice sounded like years ago, and I'm just emulating the voices of everyone around me. I didn't have the greatest control over my powers when I was little and my most vivid moment of that time is just constant tears of frustration, both on my part and on the parts of others; kids at school would think that I was mocking them when my voice would automatically mimic theirs and didn't want to be my friend. My nickname in school was copycat.
5) how'd you figure out about your affiliation (prof. x, or magneto)? I'm the petty type, I'll admit as such, but I'm not vindictive. I don't want to hurt everyone because I've been hurt. The Brotherhood's vendetta against all non-mutants makes me sick, y'know?
6) do your family members know about your special abilities? if so, then how did that go about? I have three older brothers, an older sister, and a younger brother. Even before my powers, mutants were a thing talked about in passing with my family like mentioning that you heard there'd been an accident downtown. Something that warranted mild concern but didn't really affect our day-to-day -most of the time. Now, with my older siblings, it's pretty much an untouchable topic. They'll speak about anything but JustMutantThings even if it involves their little sister. My mom and step-dad are still the same although they're perpetually worried about my safety. I appreciate it. My younger brother took it with cautious acceptance; He'd seen how mutants were portrayed in the media, but he also know who I was and it took him a while to realize that having abilities didn't just change who I was.
7) do you have any siblings? and if so, do they have any abilities? If my older siblings have abilities, I wouldn't know. It's nothing short of a battle to get them to just text me. With my younger brother, I'm she come sort of his go to about advice ever since he had an incident with turning into a body of water in his classroom during a particularly stressful test. Our being the youngests and the only mutants in the family has made us closer, I think.

☾ [1) favorite movie genre? why? I Horror and Distopian; It's nice to imagine this reality where things are way more shit than they are here. Oh, you're perpetually stuck in a civil war? Well, it could be worse.You could be trapped in a cornfield with amurderous monster or stuck in a civil during post-apocalyptic world... Nah, I'm kidding. I like Horror, yeah, but mainly to poke fun at the characters and plot. I also have a guilty pleasure for buddy-cop/good-cop bad-cop comedy films. They're just funny.
2) would your room most likely be messy or tidy? I think I've caught residual neat-freak from my mother. I may be a mess inside, but I cannot stand my room being disorganized. I like for everything to be where it's supposed to be and to know it's there.
3) favorite school subject? I was majorly into history in high school. It's just so fascinating to learn how people advanced things in nations while also managing to fuck things up constantly sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. “I realized that I had powers at the tender age of nine. Well no, I realized it way before that, I just didn’t know the name for it. At first I thought that I had a hyper imagination and that whenever I touched someone I was only creating little stories in my head about their life. My parents and I thought that I was just a very smart kid and that learning Spanish or learning advanced gymnastics was just a gift from god, a reward for their parenting skills. Thing changed after I brushed past a family friend and….well let’s just say that after what I saw I knew that I was different. I decided to test it out of course and my suspicions were confirmed.”

Power Limitations:
Basil can not create plants from nothing, there has to be a source or some in his area. His power is powerless in areas in areas where there or no plants or at least where they don’t have the potential to grow (Barren land/infertile soil). His ability is weak against those with fire based abilities.

Power Techniques:
He can cause flower to bloom or wither at an accelerated rate or reverse the process. Basil can manipulate plants to act as weapon, for example using vines as way to restrain someone or sprouting a particularly poisonous plant. Basil can use them defensively as well, he can surround himself in wood or manipulating a plant to grow and act as a shield.

1) when did you first recognize your powers? where and what age?:
“I was ten when I discovered my powers. It was during a family picnic with my parents, my younger sister, and myself. My sister and I were playing in the garden while my parents were enjoying each other's company. We’d decided to climb one of the tree in the backyard. My sister has always been a clumsy girl so she’d slipped. She screamed and out parents rushed over. Before she hit the ground the tree’s branches as caught and cradled her before lowering her to the ground. And there was me with my hand stretched out and a look of surprise on my face.

2) how did you feel about mutants before you found out about your powers?
“I was a little apprehensive of course but they were still people. My parents had always taught me to treat others as you wanted to be treated.”

3) how do you feel about non-mutants and the general societal view of mutants?
“It’s sad, just because we are different doesn’t mean that we are monsters. Maybe with time their view will change.”

4) how do you feel about your abilities?
“I love my powers, with them I can help others and create life in away. Plus I’ve always had a love for flowers and plant life.”

“I understand that the both of them want to be treated with respect and equality but Magneto is too extreme with his methods. Professor X suits my taste.”

“They were and still are worried, but they accepted for who I am.”

“I have a little sister. Her name is Adeline and she’s a non-mutant.”

“I’ve grown quite used to them and I love them. I wouldn’t trade them at all.”
