what would you do if the one thing that pieced you together and gave you a purpose was taken away from you? how far would you go to get it back? what risks would you take? who would you trust?
and to what extremes?

among the population, lies a common fear. the fear of the unknown. the loss of control. the vulnerability. the ignorance. even towards one another, its races against races. entire nations against sexual orientations, presidents against their own people. possibilities like aliens, ghosts, and yeti, is far too stretched for the meek human mind to comprehend. and so when push comes to shove, everyone has one common factor the haunts them in their nightmares. the one thing that everyone hates and everyone will team up to destroy--everyone's biggest adversary--the mutants.
they hide in plain sight. they sit next to your children in their classrooms. they shop with you in your favorite mall strip. they hand you your bags when you go grocery shopping. until one of them slips up and ends up getting caught--how'd they get from one place to another so fast? how are her feet not touching the ground? did my eyes fool me or did he really just..shoot fire out of his hands?
but in the midst of living of the detestation of the world, comes a safe haven for those with special abilities. those who want to feel safe and still somewhat care about humanity, go to professor xavier's school for gifted youngsters where they learn to harness their powers to one day go out and live in the normal world again. but not all of them want to hide their true abilities, in fact, they want to show the world what they're capable of. so some of them join to magneto's brotherhood of mutants--unless he finds them of course.
possessing both very drastic values and beliefs, it made sense that both professors didn't get along. and of course the tension expanded to the children too. one house thought of the other as chaotic and reckless, while the other one saw its counterpart as submissive and ashamed. they never got along. never worked together. and for both houses, if one was seen mingling in any positive relationship with the other, they'd be shunned in their own houses.
one day, out of nowhere, both professors went missing. the students, and teachers of both groups searched for their head masters, but no one found anything. and so logically, the houses blamed each other. conflict broke out, and in the midst of that, they were shocked to find out that once upon a time, both professors had been allies--close friends, at that. and the last thing they wanted to do was to unify, but for their sake, it was the only thing they could do.
and it was exactly what they did.
okay so im so excited for this because the dark phoenix is coming out and i have an unhealthy obsession with xmen so i said, why not??? this rp is going to revolve around the students of both schools. i'd really like you guys to have a little bit of knowledge of the xmen (at least movie wise if not comic wise) but its okay if you dont. the plot is going to be about professor x and magneto going missing and so the students from both schools literally have to pair up to figure out what the fuck is going on. in the beginning its going to be a little loose because there will be drama. (but whos complaining though?? ) anyways this rp is going to be set up in episodes, and there will be npcs. there will be original characters who will serve as the leaders of both groups to lead the students in place of both professors, just so that its kind of more organized.
