News Merger Occurring on Sunday

Alright guys,


We have another round of downtime coming at you. This Sunday, July 20th, the site will be going down for an indefinite amount of time as we merge with our lovely sister site, Roleplay Zone. Now, this will bring in a few things.


Firstly, the rules will be changing, but until they are updated, we are still running by our current rule list. Please note the rule changes will not be enough to warrant allowance of inappropriate things on our site.


Secondly, we are getting a new roleplay system, IN ADDITION to our current standing roleplay system. For those of you who have seen RpZ's roleplaying system, that is what is being added to our site to work along side our current system.


And lastly, please, as we have asked many a times, do not make wild allegations on the site changes. If you have questions or concerns about the future of our site, ask the staff directly. That is the only way to get 100% correct information about what's happening with the site.

Marvelous! I can't wait for this merge. I saw RpZone's roleplay system and I love it. Good luck merging the sites, I hope everything goes to plan.
 
Okay. Question for any staff member who sees this: Is the site going to be down for more than Sunday? Or just all day that day?

Hopefully it will only be a few hours, but we say all of Sunday to cover any unforeseen events. If it happens fast, the site will be opened fast.

Which domain will be used? Will I get to keep my username (Which I love so much)? Will their users merge with ours or will all new accounts be needed?

It will only be a few hours assuming everything goes according to plan.
 
I have a question thats been bugging me. I made an account over at RoleplayZone with the same name as my account. What will happen to my account here at RPN. I'm probably worrying too much but I'm kinda loosing sleep over this.

To alleviate the building panic as we approach Sunday on the East Coast. The merger is roughly 12 hours away. The schedule time for the site to go down is Noon - 12:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) -4 UTC) on Sunday. So until then the site will remain online.
