Futuristic Mental Apocalypse

[Htiaf]

Natalie walked in, looking around. "oooh, you're looking for weapons, right?"

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

Madi raised a brow without looking back at him, grabbing her sneakers and slipping on socks before tying them on. She stood up again and went looting through her nightstand drawer for something to carry in case they were attacked.


"I have General Anxiety," She explained, glancing up finally. "And I had no where to go after my father went into a coma for awhile, so they put me in an orphanage and, well, they sent me here."

[Dapper Bunny]

Isaac turned to her and nodded. He then put his satchel on the counter picking out two water bottles and his notebook. He quickly writes something on it and gives it to her.

 

[Htiaf]

Natalie looked at the notepad and read it. It said "It must not be that easy to follow a mute guy around.. Right? Anyway..


My name is Isaac Morimoto, Just take a drink and relax. Find a weapon you need. Hopefully other survived this.. Thing?.. I am going to check the back room for other supplies."


Natalie smiled at him and tipped her head. "Thanks. My name is Natalie."

 

[IllusiveShade]

"Good, so it is nothing like crazy sociopath stuff. I would not like a reckless person to be with me." He chuckled, trying to light the situation a bit up. He realized his hand was still bloody, and wiped it off in the corpses jacket. "Sorry." He mumbled under his breath.

 

[Htiaf]

(Playing GM here!)


As Mido and Maddie were talking, a 'family of Zombies' were wandering around and heard people talking. They quickly walked up behind Mido and one of them reached for his neck. Maddie, what do you do?

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

Madi's hand found purchase on what she was looking for and she pulled a pocket knife from her drawer and pulled out the fake bottom to grab a BB gun (gifted to her by her father) from the drawer. She turned and her eyes widened.


"Duck!" She screamed. Without waiting for Mido to react, Madi threw the pocket knife at the zombie's skull.

[Htiaf]

The one zombie went down, but it only enraged the other zombies, who (all three of them) jumped on Mido. A slightly smaller Zombie staggered towards Maddie, grinning maliciously.

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

"Mido!" Madi exclaimed in a panic. Madi fumbled to grab a magazine from the drawer, but found none.


"***," She stated. She instead got a running headstart and jumped, landing a swift kick on the young zombies head. Remember Madi, it's not a human anymore. Take no pity, She reminded herself as the kid collapsed. But he's only a child... No, no sympathy.

[IllusiveShade]

Mido with his shard in one hand, trikes the temple of one infected and manages to punch the other in the temple as well, making their sculls collide. A cracking sound can be heard s they hit, and both fall dead over Mido. The last laying on top of both trying to bite Mido.

 

[Htiaf]

One zombie gets back up and leaps at Maddie with inhuman speed.

 

[IllusiveShade]

Mido reacts as fast as he can, cutting the infecteds leg, making it fall to a halter and crawling slowly at maddy instead of running .

 

[Htiaf]

The infected grabs Maddie's ankle and pulls itself to her. (it should be pretty easy to beat it from here lol)

 

[Dapper Bunny]

(well.. There are two people left who haven't joined in yet.)


Isaac opens the door to the back room slowly, watching for movement and listening carefully for anything out of place.


He slowly enters the back room. Looking for something sharp. and better than his pipe.

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

Madi screamed in aggravation. "Just die already!"


With that, Madi brought the butt of her empty BB gun down on it's skull. A sickening crack echoed through the room and Madi cringed at the brain matter now splattered on herself and her gun. She shook off it's corpse and ran over to Mido, kicking the last zombie off him and pulling him up.


"C'mon, we have to go. Now," Madi said firmly.

[IllusiveShade]

"No problem with me" Mido said stumbling on to his feet. he stretched his fingers on the hand he used to beat the one zombie with. "Remind me not to beat a zombie in the head again." He said with a smile

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

"No promises, you might have to do it again," She said wryly, retrieving her knife from a zombie's skull. She handed it to Mido. "Ignore the blood, but you should use this. I'm good with my gun."

[Dapper Bunny]

Isaac noticed a medium sized box. in the back room on the table. He read a note besides it "New delivery of carpenter axes. But this on the window the rest will come tomorrow." Isaac tore up the box and put the rusty pipe on the table. A small smile appears on his face. He remembered a man his mother used to date that was a carpenter, Isaac would always try and help. He picks up the axe and studied it's details before going back to Natalie.

 

[IllusiveShade]

Mido chuckled "Thanks, it is better than this glass shard. It cuts me all the time." Mido say with a smile "Now lets get the fuck out of here before even more comes." (I am looking at you, GM)

 

[Htiaf]

Natalie walked behind the counter and grabbed a soda for herself and one for Isaac. She started to walk back to the storage room, but stopped when a computer screen caught her eye. She set down the sodas and looked curiously at it. She read the document that was pulled up.


"Dear Chairman,


We plan to start a new experiment that we believe will cure every single mental disorder. We will begin the testing on the 15th of May at 7:00am. Please tell us if you have any complaints.

"Dear Scientist Dave,


It sounds like a great idea! We even have a mental institute in our city. I think that every single person there would forever be in your debt.

Natalie's eyes widened and she looked at the watch that was passed out to all of the inmates at the asylum. It was May 15, 9:00am.


She dropped the sodas and sat down-hard. 
(lol sorry i had fun)


No more zombies come.

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

Madi nodded sharply and took off running. When Mido caught up to her, she said, "There's a store nearby. We should go there and look for something better to defend ourselves with."


Mido and her reached the door to the outside world withing minutes, and instead of pushing the bar to open it, she kicked it and kept running.

[Dapper Bunny]

Isaac had sheated the axe using his belt to hold it in place. He walks out to the main room and sees Natalie sitting on the floor. Isaac quickly kneels down besides and and looks at her with worried eyes. Isaac points at her then he quickly points with each index finger at each other and twists his hand.

 

[Htiaf]

Natalie shook her head and pointed at the computer screen, her mind whirling.

Mido ran right after Maddy trusting she knew where they were going, since he had no clue as to where they were headed. The world around Mido was a mishmash of colors and auras surrounding the once living people. And only because of said auras he was able to see them faster than you would normally.

 

[Cuddly Kraken]

"It's just around here," Madi said. She paused in front of a large building and tried the door. Locked. She brought the butt of her gun down and broke the lock, hip-chucking it open. "Quick, inside before one of those things finds us."
