Ximena is quite possibly the best friend one could ever have. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is copacetic with all of her friends. The neutral party in any situation, she doesn't take sides which is either a good thing or a bad thing. She's outgoing and friendly, maybe a bit too friendly. People tend to think that Xi is flirting with them, when 9 times out of 10, she isn't. Now when she really does flirt, you'd most likely know it. While she is an over-all fun person to be around, Xi isn't shit. Mostly in the fact that she can't stay in a relationship. She breaks hearts; some intentional others not so much. All in all, she just can't be in a relationship, no matter how hard she tries; it's a flaw she couldn't seem to get rid of. Added on to her list of flaws is how bitchy she can really be sometimes. There are just moments when she doesn't want to deal with anyone at all. Usually a nap would cure something like this for her. Overall, she's lovable but there are times when people just can't tolerate her.

You certainly notice her when she enters the room and not because of her gothic blue style she favours. She cheery, cheeky and flirty with a happy go lucky attitude that doesn't seem to fade at any situation. She seems gregarious to the point of noisy, wanting to to learn everything about everyone whether the like her too or not. This extend to things beyond people, one benefit of her upbringing was a good education and she has a keen interest in sciences like chemistry and biology, especially when it involves her cooking.

True she is good at masking her true feeling behind the smiled and never outwardly hostile with a willingness to help those in need. However she can be vicious and cold to those that mess with her and bush to the edge, skilled hand with passive aggressiveness. Like an elephant she never forgets and may not strike immediately but wait until a less expected time. However she has her issue she hides through her smile and there is no telling how she is when the come to the surface.

Personality: Back in high school, Brea was the pretty party girl. She could handle her liquor well. She kept her grades up but only because she didn't want to be held back and not graduate. She really thought she would be friends with this group forever, so when the group broke up she was devastated. That's why she moved far away, to just forget about them and move on. She got loans for college, since her grades weren't good enough for any fantastic scholarships. Now that she's in college and has settled down some, she doesn't drink nearly as much and focuses more on her academics. It's also partially because that's what her boyfriend expects of her. She misses feeling free, and though she wouldn't admit it out loud, she missed her friends, and him. He was her everything, until the incident. She's still loud sometimes, but usually a look from her boyfriend quiets her, and that might show in her personality now, even when he's not around. She's still there for those she loves, but she can hold a grudge. It's part of the reason she never reached out to anyone after the group broke up.

p e r s o n a l i t y;
Jess has always been an outgoing kind of girl, she's not afraid to approach someone and will go out of her way to be friends with you. Having friends and people to hang out with have always been important to Jess due to the fact she hates being alone. When she was younger she didn't have a lot of friends and was almost a social outcast, that was partially because she moved constantly due to her parent's jobs. Eventually, she convinced them to let her stay in one town, it was rocky at first, but eventually Jess's personality had started to change. She forced herself to be social and eventually it became who she is today.

Jess cares deeply about her friends, and would do anything to make sure they're having a good time, and even help them with emotional situations. But whenever someone tries to help her out she completely shuts down and will do whatever she can to avoid the topic.

When Jess is not hanging out with friends she is usually drawing, she's always had a wild imagination and ended up putting it all into her drawings. She one day hopes to be a famous artist, and is majoring in Fine Arts at Columbia University. Jess loves exploring, saying that it's a way to broaden her horizons, and give her more ideas.

Aya isn't an idle dreamer. She is capable of taking concrete steps towards reaching her goals and doing, not just wishing. Her decisiveness and strong will has helped her to fight past many obstacles even though she is quite soft-spoken. Being extremely private is probably what Aya hates most about herself, but can't help to be. Many have felt alarmed when she suddenly withdrew to 'recharge' or turn down plans, making finding new friends difficult for Aya. Not only that, she is prone to losing her patience and suddenly lash out towards her friends which might have been part of why the group broke up. Today, she has learned to move on and forget all that happened. After all, people from the past were, well, in the past... right?

Aya had to move from Sapporo, Japan to America very suddenly near the end of the school year, where everyone had already established their cliques and relationships. Luckily, at her new school, a student was assigned to keep Aya company during her first few weeks who helped her to get used to the new school system and even fit into a group. That student was named Ximena.

reason for coming to the beach house?
When Ximena's invitation suddenly popped up in Aya's inbox one day, she initially didn't want to come. She'd rather spend her summer break polishing up her miming and doing part-time jobs — but of course that quickly changed. The next day, when Aya mentioned the invitation to Jess, she successfully convinced Aya to come. I mean, who could turn down a free vacation anyway?

Back when everyone was still as close as ever and everything was sunshine and rainbows, Aya and Vincent were dating. For once, someone didn't completely freak out at her privacy — he understood her. Plus, he was thoughtful, witty and so intelligent. Who could be more wonderful? But we all know not all stories have good endings. During the time when the group's tension was at its highest peak, Aya swam in a sea of ambiguity. She felt miserable and furious and guilty. She felt everything. So when she began detaching herself from Vincent, it was for the greater good. He wouldn't have had to deal with the mess which was Aya Hayashi, and their relationship slowly faded away. Just like everyone else.

Aya and Jess have constantly kept in touch after the group parted ways, meeting one another from time to time as they both are studying in NYC. No one from the group are still very close friends to Aya, but she can confidently say that Jess is the person she trusts the most out of everyone.

Oh how guilty Aya felt whenever she thought of Brea. Weeks before the group dispersed, the two had an argument. You see, it wasn't normal for Aya the soft spoken girl and Brea the easy going partier to do that. But for a long while, Aya had noticed Brea being more careless as college neared; she just wasn't taking anything seriously and it ticked Aya off. So, she found that something had to be said – or yelled – at that point. It happened as everyone was hanging out and Brea was excitedly talking about another party. It went straight downhill from there. That event triggered a chain of other worse ones, until the fateful split of the friends, and it all was probably Aya's fault.

Aya and Ximena never talked again after graduation. Maybe the occasional like on each other's Instagram posts, or Aya heard things about the girl through Jess – but that was it. After all that happened, how could she face Ximena anyway? She was only trying to keep the group together. She did nothing wrong. Aya hoped that during this vacation with her old friends, she could finally apologize and clear things up with Ximena, the very first friend she ever made when she moved.

Personality​

Humble, calm and enterprising- those three words describe Vincent perfectly. He doesn't need many people around him and has no problem with enjoying activities all by himself. It's not that he's unsocial, not at all. If you end up having a conversation with him he's often genuinely interested and nice to you. He just doesn't feel the need to socialize like crazy. This made him be more of a loner but it doesn't really bother him much. He has the people he needs around him, and that's what matters. The thing he can't stand at all though is doing nothing for too long. Sure a day off is nice every once in a while but not week after week. Oh, and disrespectful people. Vincent makes sure to speak up in any situation when he sees it happening, he won't hold back if you really piss him off. So story short- Vincent is an easy person to get along with. And if he gets all hyper and energic, it means he feels comfortable around you.

Let's take it back to the moment where the group was still close, hanging out often and drama free. That was the time where Vincent fell for the goal reaching Aya, and the time where the two started to date. The combination of this strong and soft-spoken attitude is exactly what he liked so much about her. Vincent respected her privacy and moments where she needed to recharge, but when the tension started to rise in the group Aya started to become more and more distant. She suddenly started to cancel plans often to the point where the two, and the group, started to see each other less and less. The group started to fade away and so did their relationship. Vincent is still unsure and confused, mostly on why and how it happened. But due his lack of social skills, he never knew how to ask her about it.
