Meeting the reaper

"Why don't you get along with the cat? I'm not mad, just curious." This was a lie, but she knew that it was the only way to play it off calmly.

""He'd like you if you didn't growl at him." Kath smiled, gently placing the cat onto his stomach. It purred softly, kneading his tummy with its paws.

Jack stared at the cat then closed his eyes. He did a sigh then tried to fall asleep. He wasn't a cat person he was always a dog person he had a dog but it died and he never wanted another pet.

"Babe, if you'd prefer, we could also maybe get a dog?" Sensing he was uncomfortable, she lifted the cat off of him, and placed it back onto her stomach.

She smiled softly to herself, before kicking off her shoes and curling up on the bed, cat asleep beside her.

As the cat had remained with her, Kath hadn't felt his movement, a smile remaining firmly on her face. During her sleep, her facial expression seemed similar to the cat's, blissful and soft.

Jack didn't feel comfortable. He got up and sat on the edge of the bed and ruffled up his hair. He kept staring at the wall and did a quiet sigh.

Eventually, she awoke, eyes fluttering as she became aware of her surroundings. Spotting him staring at the wall, she chose not to say anything.

Silently, the girl got up, cat jumping from the bed, before she sprang herself on him, placing a kiss on his neck. "Morning, baby."

Grinning, she spoke again, voice slightly husky from sleep,"Is that wall more interesting than your gorgeous girlfriend?" Kath teased, not realising it was the first time that she'd called her his girlfriend.

Jack smiled. He got up and stretched and looked at her. He yawned. He reached out his hand and messed up her hair then he went to the kitchen.

Pouting slightly she stood up, peeking through each portal until she found the bathroom. Speedily she then took a shower, emerging in one of his towels a few minutes later.

Jack went back to the bed and laid down. He felt something climb on top of him. He opened his eyes and saw the cat on his chest. He sighed and reached out his hand and pet it.

Without making a noise, she watched them happily, before pulling on some clothes. Grabbing her pitchfork, Kath formed a portal to the pet shop, purchasing some cat food and toys.

Once she returned, the devil happily put away all of the cat stuff, before turning to them on the bed. Unable to resist, she snapped a photo of her two favourite boys, a grin on her face.
