My Interest Check
A shadow was loaming over the wizarding world. It was almost twelve years after The Boy Who Lived defeated the greatest Dark Lord to have ever lived. Everything should be at peace, so why was there this tension growing within the Ministry?

All the while, Dark Witches and Wizards have been stirring and appearing out of the woodwork. More and more have been appearing. The Aurors, first easily despatching them, are now starting to be overwhelmed. Where were they all coming from? People start wonder.

Among both of sides, good and evil, the mystery continues haunt. Who will be the first to find the mysterious 'shadow' that haunts this game? How far does this go? It shall be up to us to find out.

Adelyn was in her office, pacing in the middle of the room, her hands clasped behind her back, her brow furrowed in concern. "I just.. don't understand it. Muggles being attacked, violence and dark magic springing up in every corner of Great Britain.. I thought Voldemort was defeated!" she said, her voice shrill with emotion. She picked up the Daily Prophet sitting on her desk and showed the cover to those present in the room. "Muggle killings. Witches and wizards attacking Ministry employees.."

Her worries eyes turned to Amelia and then to her advisor.

"Both of you, as my esteemed advisors.. do you have any solutions to suggest? Explanations to offer? What is happening in the magical community?"

(OOC: sorry for the delay!)

"Madam," one of her advisors, Alexander Hyde, said smoothly. "This is certainly a grave matter, but we need to think about it calmly. Have you tried to recruit more Aurors? This seems like the most logical option."

Amelia looked to Alexander as he spoke, and then chimed in, "If I many, while recruiting does seem like a good idea, I think we should start small at first. I can get a few of my best Aurors together and start an investigation. We can't draw too much attention to this, so we might need to go undercover to get to the root of this problem. Once we find out who's behind all of these attacks, we can set a plan of action in motion to bring them down."

Adelyn frowned a little at her advisor's comment on staying calm. She knew he was right, but that made it that more difficult to hear. She then smiled appreciatively at Amy's input. "I like your idea, Amelia. Perhaps some of you could investigate in places such as Knockturn alley? I shall make you the head of this investigation."

Putting a hand on the young girl's shoulder, she said, "I have full trust in you. Despite your young age, you've proved in the short time I've known you to have an exceptional intelligence and courage. "

Then turning to her advisor, she added, "Alexander. Please help Amelia in any way you can. Please advise her as well as myself, whenever you have ideas, suggestions to put forth."

To that, Alexander bowed with a small smile. "It would a pleasure, madam. I look forward to working with you, Miss Amelia. Direct me however you please," he demurred to the girl. His chocolate brown eyes fixed onto her, a pleased look could be seen if one looked hard enough.

Amy had to grin at the compliment, and being head of the investigation was a major honor. She nodded to her superior, "Absolutely, thank you very much! I promise, we'll get to the bottom of this soon! I can get a small force ready to go undercover immediately, and put the best Aurors on the team who are masters of discretion." She then looked to Alexander, and nodded to him with a softer smile, "Sure thing, thank you for the assistance, I appreciate it." She then looked back to Adelyn, "I promise, Madam, I won't let you down! I always strive to keep both Muggles and Wizards safe."

She smiled at both of them, pleased with their enthusiasm. "Excellent." Adelyn put a hand on both their shoulders.

"I have faith in both of you. With both of your devotion and loyalty, I'm confident we'll get to the bottom of this."

She then ushered them both out the door of her office and closed it behind her, sighing heavily.

(ooc: maybe we can do an auror scene now? with alexander as he's supposed to help them? Let me know if either of you want me to change my post in some way. :P )

Braelynn was seated outside of the Minister's office, waiting for Amy to come out of the meeting. There was talk of an increase in dark wizards and she wondered if the exclusive meeting had been about that. Once the door opened, Braelynn stood up, a question in her eyes. "What's the news?" she asked the girl.
